Ericjohnsonjnr: I bought a car from Canada...I later find out there is salt in the car and it's a rust car...I lost a lot of money so I'm scared it's usually not advisable to buy from Canada. They use salt on the roads cos of snow build up. The salt corrodes the car metal. Contact me if you want a reliable car from U.S at lower than dealer price. |

Timifakay thanks a lot. i see daddy peeping and not commenting. We all learn. obekediamondfuto (whatever this ur moniker means) well done. Moral of this whole thing is to understand the theoretical basics of anything before delving in. I remember when a so called professional here, labelled autoelectng as a textbook mechanic and challenged him to come to the field. Truth is that if your foundation is not well rooted, then u cant stand. Peace |
Car Talk › Re: Auto Guru, Please Help. by chukel(m): 1:29pm On Oct 22, 2017 |
mayor2013: I don't need to pull out an argument on this. Did you just ask me that question up there. You better come to the field of play first. An advice leave field of play and answer this. That's a very lame excuse. If you don't understand the theoretical basics of this issue, what will u then apply in field of play. At what mile do u expect that car to throw up ur phantom lean code. U should be very grateful for having been taught something new on this thread. There is no shame in it. Everyone learns. I learn too |
Car Talk › Re: Auto Guru, Please Help. by chukel(m): 12:10pm On Oct 22, 2017 |
mayor2013: You have spoken brilliantly well. Your last paragraph killed it all. This area is where is still being swept under the carpet. The big question here goes thus:
" What happens if too much air continues to go into the engine" u still don't get it or u conveniently want to argue adamantly. He made a brilliant explanation of the stft. That's where the effect of the experiment gazzuz did would have shown. But u skipped it. Note, at 16% that vehicle isn't running lean. And if anyone should investigate the cause of the 16% ltft, it will not be the immediate experiment done by gazzuzz of which stft responds to almost zero. Gazzuzz for wipe the dtc complete before giving us reading. That would have shown the true ltft. |
Car Talk › Re: Auto Guru, Please Help. by chukel(m): 8:14am On Oct 22, 2017 |
mayor2013: Summary of this experiment. That value up there For fuel trim is nothing to right home about. Excessive fuel consumption is the conclusion. Drive much longer than the 100km and see what comes out of it. Ecu readiness to throwing up a lean code would be slower on Camry 1999. oga, how many miles/km does it take a dtc cycle to complete in order to throw a code, especially fuel trim codes and misfire code. If u answer this correctly, then we can take you seriously. |
Car Talk › Re: Auto Guru, Please Help. by chukel(m): 7:54am On Oct 22, 2017 |
oyefelix: But the fuel trim show lean na or the car bin dey run lean before this experiment same car carefully maintained by car guru Gazzuzz. Oga bone code ,we no be small small children for this job. So assume customer bring car and fuel trim show lean ,na to tell customer say no problem as lean code no enter ,oga you know better than this na Oga you fumble big time for this one oga fumble, what is the normal fuel trim parameter for that particular car? Let's start from there. Do you even know how codes are generated? Your type will tell client temperature gauge needle should never reach half position of the gauge cos u don't know what normal should be. |
Car Talk › Re: Auto Guru, Please Help. by chukel(m): 7:50am On Oct 22, 2017 |
obekediamondfuto: lolz, our main daddy. hahahahahaha I still find it difficult that someone that learned watched that video and all he could deduce from the lean code is the broken intake boot, even wen a more serious a/f code was being declared. I tire seriously I seriously wonder how some people reason. The meat of this discuss is the effect of removal of that hose on the performance of the car. He shouted the car will run lean. His video is even unrelated. |
Car Talk › Re: Auto Guru, Please Help. by chukel(m): 7:47am On Oct 22, 2017 |
obekediamondfuto: did anyone bother to watch that video? I sincerely give up on this thread!
gazuzz u were not even supposed to argue or debate ur findings just post and go. the time and resources wasted on the experiment is more than enough contribution. that video was very irrelevant to the discuss here. I was disappointed. Oyefelix doesn't even know normal parameters and so cannot even interpret any scan result. Shouting lean all over when there is no lean condition. Please oyefelix, which sensor in that car measures the lean condition before the throttle body. That car will not throw any code for that disconnected hose. The highest that will happen is for dirty air to find its way into the engine. Baby brains everywhere. |
Car Talk › Re: Auto Guru, Please Help. by chukel(m): 6:31pm On Oct 21, 2017 |
Inception: You will only prove the bolded RIGHT.
If you study the engine bay carefully of the 1997-2001 camry (4 cyl), you will see that the MAP sensor has its separate vacuum line to the intake manifold. ( the MAP sensor of this car is attached close to the engine firewall). Only when this line is compromised is when you will get engine performance issues. and this is what we have been trying to make the so called professional who is older than our fathers understand. Because of the position of the map, the vehicle will not run lean. But he has been bringing irrelevant issues. To him, a leak before a maf will also cause a car to run lean. Smh. Abegi, thanks to gazzuzz, inception and obekediamondfuto. U guys know ur onion. Not people who gallivant all over nairaland dragging unfortunate clients to their shades. |
Car Talk › Re: Auto Guru, Please Help. by chukel(m): 4:50am On Oct 21, 2017 |
honmusa: Can u explain why map was dropped in favour of maf in subsequent later model of Camry ,I want to learn from u .I am sure you are not born yet when I start to understand the concept of maf and map. Too many small kids in car talk this days ,no wonder Siena left for goods. I just put up a video now to show that 5S engine can run lean even with map sensor to prove that concept of map sensor not responding to vacuum leak is not applicable in this case .So what else again u need to hear you are too emotional to be an adult. U r too spiteful to be mature. U keep derailing and going in circus. Always proud of what you don't know. Wallow in your ignorance. |

All these backyard things... If u knew u would do backyard stuff, why come here in the first place. Gazzuzz, ur threads on elshanautos have been closed on request. What happened. U guys open thread, attract mediators, settle behind, close thread and make the mediators look stupid. Now the same thing is playing out. Go and open ur thread and tell us how it ended. I saw a thread very unrelated to elshanautos, but he was being described there as being fraudulent. My point is, if u settled amicably with him, reopen that thread and state it there, then leave it open. |

Second, FFK for being the first unelected person to talk to the president anyhow and got scot- free. Am proud to be born in October. if not for Messi, I would have written fools are born in October.
