Hello bro. I applied to Lincoln University for PhD in Animal Science. It's been over 3months I submitted all the documents required for admission yet no word. I don't know what to do next..

The intimidation of Nigerians by the police force is depressing. I will relate my personal experience just last week. We were watching Manchester United Vs Bournemouth. When about 7 police officers arrived with their hilux. Rounded everybody up point touch light shouting una nor dey fear us. Those that dared to complain were immediately administered slaps generously. Before we know it some were hand and leg cuffed and bundled into the hilux. We were taken to the police station. Those with like 3000 Nairaland cash were let go and the rest of us without cash were locked up in the cell over night. The mosquitoes feasted on us generously we were not allowed to make calls until the next day. Other persons were also brought in and everyone was bailed with a minimum of 5,000 Naira. The painful part is that a boy of 14-15 years was locked up with us and meant to pass through the same ordeal as adults.

You can imagine making 5,000 naira from a minimum of 30 people daily.

The entire Nigerian police force has failed us and need reforming right from the top. Because the top officers know what is happening but are quiet because they are benefiting from it..

The Nigerian police force is filled with a bunch of Stupid people. If na poor man dem arrest for road wey nor do anything. dem go pull e shoe and belt even beat am on top.. Lock am for cell over night.. Ogun go kill all of them wey de oppress the poor

Some of these Catholic priests can be so bossy. They feel they are the authority. The few I have come across in my line of work can talk to you using very harsh words that you start wondering if they have ever read the Bible.

I will be listing some things you should do when visiting so that the host will be more receptive to your future visits

1. Always Go with your own towel, combs, tooth brush, toothpaste, soap, creams and perfumes. Don't go there feeling you can use your host own because the way you use them maybe different from the way he uses it and it may turn him off.

2. Assist with house chores. Do not sit idle and expect your host to sweep the room, wash the dishes, fetch water and cook for you while you relax like a boss.

3. Please respect his privacy don't think that because you know where the house is you can always go there without a precall. This can turn him off greatly

4. Respect his house do not step on the bed sheets and duvet even if you do so to yours in your house

6. When visiting always go with something even if it is bread and whenever he wants to go shopping please contribute to the expenses

7.always keep your things arranged and orderly in the room

8. Abeg even if you are older than your host don't be bossy to the extent that you will be sending him on errands

The one that made me close to shedding tears. Was when I heard a Keke driver say if Biafra is actualized every man will be entitled to a car. And from the way he was speaking with confidence he has been thoroughly brainwashed. And they are ready to die for fake promises while those pushing them will not be at the forefront of any fighting o. Fine Nigeria has failed everybody whether you are from the North, South, east or west. Most times I regret being a Nigerian. But there is no way you can be 100% certain that a Biafra government will fare better. What we all should clamour for is for a better government and closing our eyes to bribes and hold our government to ransome until they know that if they fail they are no longer safe. That's only when they will be forced to sit up.

Abia state just carry the Biafra matter for head. If only they can hold their governments to ransome the way they are currently holding the Nigerian Government things would have been better. Anytime I visit Aba all I see is evidence of a failed state. In fact I will rate it as the worst and most backward state in Nigeria. This is in spite of the numerous industries and companies domiciled there that they earn internal revenue from. Even Ebonyi state without much resources is a hundred years ahead of Abia state in terms of development and evidence of a government...

That's one thing about these Biafra agitators dey like reporting one sided stories. Nobody will mention why dey were beaten. They burnt down a dangote truck fully loaded with cement and mounted roadblocks at various point on the road.

Salivating. I can't wait to get my hand on them.

The Nigerian police force has no integrity. The one that annoys me the most is when they extort commercial motorist on the road daily. If you like Try playing smart by bringing out #1000 they will look for change and give you openly without shame or fear.

i am about to start my application to a canadian university. when going thru some of the websites of these universities i found out that tution fees is paid in terms and that three terms make up an academic year.

so my question is do i have to pay my tuition fee for the first term only or do i have to pay the fee for the entire first year before i can qualify to apply for a study permit.

i will appreciate the kind replies of those already studying in canada.
