Sincerely this depressing wait for Canadian Study Permit approval is indeed not funny, I am beginning to consider more options.

Please I need your advice on this step I intend to take. I have studied online for over a year now and even writing my thesis proposal without approval from the IRCC due to lack of funding and delay from IRCC.

I intend to apply to schools in the US, which one of the schools has promised to fund with any available opportunity.

But what would be my case when I apply for VISA if I eventually get admitted to any US school?

Since there is an exchange of information between the USA and Canada in terms of immigration.

Regards

I just received my third Ghost Update this morning, my second update was when I bombarded them to update my medical.

Today, I noticed that with the ghost update, my medical that was previously updated as passed went back to "You do not need Medical". Although, the upfront medical expired last two weeks.

What does this mean, my people?

The ghost update you noticed on your profile is a signal that your application is actively being worked on by an immigration officer at the Canadian embassy in Nairobi. To further expedite a decision on your file, channel your enquires to the visa office in Nairobi for updates.

Thanks Boss Frank,

Please what time of the day should I send this Follow-up emails to Nairobi?

Do it really have any effect in expediting one's application?

Hello everyone,

I received a message to provide additional documents for my application yesterday, it was stated in the letter that a link for submission has been provided on my profile. Upon checking my profile, no link was provided. What do I do please? I was given just 3 days to respond and this is the second day. Can I use webform? won't that take a long time to get to the requesting office?

Please, I will be expecting your responses, thank you.
You possibly might be checking the wrong place. If I may ask, did you click on the View Submitted application or upload documents link?

It is above your Applicant Information box in your dashboard

When you click on the link it takes you to where you uploaded all the documents when you were applying. You should see an active section where you can upload the required information.

Please, how do you get to know the mp of your school?
If you know the province or address of your school, use that to search for the MP here.

https://www.ourcommons.ca/members/en

But do know that as your not a Canadian PR, citizen and not residing in Canada, would be difficult that you issue would be given due attention. Better still, use someone in Canada to do that on your behalf.

Dear Fellow Nairalanders,

I am a second-time applicant, Reapplied on the 30th of October, 2021 with an up-front medical. Didn't get any update until I started sending them emails and sending web forms from the 9th of January to 14th and I noticed a Ghost update today and when I went into my profile, I noticed my Upfront Medicals has been updated.

So, what other queries do I send to VOs and to who, Abuja or Nairobi ?

Please I need your help on this.

I was refused SP last year on financial grounds and I have been able to secure some funding from grants and awards, but can I add my staff investment fund from the office as POF

Right now I can only take a loan out of it and repay it from my salary.

But when I resign or get a study leave, I can have access to the entire funds.

The company contact details and websites are on the statement given to me.

The company is my employer's investment and pension outfit for all its Staff.

Hello Fellows,

Please I need your thoughts on this, I applied for SP last year on financial grounds and I struggled and got some grants and awards.

Please do you think I should include my staff welfare and investment that has money (Although not accessible until I resign), as an added document for proof of funds?

There was a mixed up in the questionnaire you filled

The form to fill are:

1.Application for Study Permit Made Outside Canada IMM1294E
2. Family Information Form IMM5645
3. Temporary Residence Visa - TRV Form

Hope this profound solution.
I actually went through it, but didn't notice any discrepancy as regards the filling of the questionnaire.

NB: Mind you, I am reapplying after being refused in September 2020

Good Evening Everyone, Please i need your thoughts on this.

I am actually a student with the Simon Fraser University, Burnaby Canada. Studying online from Nigeria. (MA Educational Technology and Learning Design) This program consists of courses and a thesis for a minimum of 34 units

I made a choice of picking 3 courses this fall term due to the notification I got about a course related to my research area on inclusion, which is (EDUC 710 – Autism Spectrum Disorder). The other core courses are EDUC-890 (Education Media as a foundation of the curriculum) and EDUC-893 (Social and Organizational Aspects of Learning Technology Design). Their Credits are as follows:
EDUC-890 - 4 Credits
EDUC-893 - 4 Credits
EDUC-710 - Was moved from 3 – 5 Credits

Totaling 13 Credits.

The upcoming Spring Term I have EDUC-864 (4 Credits) & EDUC892 (4 Credits). The two terms make up 21 credits which are above the 50% study outside of Canada requirements for my postgraduate work permit (PGWP).

I wish to ask what your take is on the current situation that I am in?

And is the 50% outside of Canada studies based on course load (Credit Units) or is it based on program duration? And how is it Calculated ?

b. Tuition Fees Payment Receipt
c. Enrollment Confirmation

Brethren, these are all the documents I used for the application, and the out as attached above. Just also let you know that I am in my week 10 of studies with Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, Canada.

Happy to also inform you that I was by God’s graciously given a Bursary this Term while I had already paid my school fees. But the money is in my student account. The amount is 3114 CAD.

Moving forward these are my plans for the financial challenge I am facing. I intend to speak to my organization deposit the sum of 5 -10 million in my account which covers my tuition and leaving expense as required without working.
But my question is how long would the money be there, before I print the statement for reapplication?

Secondly, I want to use a distant family friend as sponsor, although I was informed that using another person as sponsor after already using my organization would raise eyebrow. How true is that and what advice do you have for me in that regard?

Thirdly, I wish to speak with a business partner to use my account for some of his business transactions and for how long would that take for me to print the account statement and use?

In all of the above options I still want to use my organization as my co-sponsor as they have indicated interest in helping out.
Lastly, if all the above don’t work out I intend to just fry my intestines with fasting and prayers and just use my organization (Where I work) again as sponsors.

NB:
Estimated tuition and mandatory fees for first 12 months: $7,583.79 (As stated on the admission letter)

Please what is your advice for me on the current situation I have found myself ?

Thanks for the amazing compliments about me and best wishes. It couldn't have been made possible without the presence of the honourable members of this platform. So I appreciate you all for the opportunity to contribute my quota on this thread.

In retrospect to your enquiry about financial sponsorship documents to be prepared by the church. I would enumerate the below information;

1. Certificate of Incorporation (shortlisting the names of the Trustees in the church).

2. Letter of Sponsorship.

3. Financial Resources (Six (6) months bank statement of the church).

4. Resolution letter (declaring their awareness and agreement to sponsor your education in Canada).

5. Bank Reference letter supporting the statement of account.

6. Proof that you're a bonafide member of the church (ID card and a reference letter from the organization you belong to in the church as well as pictures with your fellow members in the church).

7. Payment of the entire tuition fees from the church bank account, and highlighting the date on the SOA.

8. A domiciliary account in your name showing transfer/deposit of equivalent $10,000CAD from the church in support of your annual living expenses.

The above documents should be sufficient to demonstrate their ability to finance your studies in Canada.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here.

It will end in praise.
Boss Frank Good Morning, thanks for your response to my previous questions.

I have also found myself in a similar situation as that of the person you just responded to the question. But mine is a bit different whereby I am only a staff of the church organisations headquarters. All your recommendations above can be provided to me except 7 & 8 because by God's Grace I have made modalities to pay my fees and since it is not a private organisation, approval passes through many hands and it would be difficult for all to approve.

I actually intend to use my organisation as a Co-Sponsor. What are your thoughts, would there be light and headway if I don't include the option 7 & 8 and what do you advise?

Boss @Frankrobbn1 please can you please respond to my challenge here please

Dear Friends,

Good Evening, I hope we are all keeping safe are surviving in Nigeria?

Please I need your help in view of the latest update from IRCC on the two-stage study permit application. I want to detail my financial challenge as well as a breakdown of my sources of finance so that I can get some inputs from some of you as regards to my chances of getting a study permit.

I work with an international church organization based here in Nigeria with several businesses, academic institutions as well as churches scattered all over the country and some few countries abroad.

I spoke to an executive member of my organization and he has agreed that the organization would write me a sponsorship letter and release all associated documents because of my study permit application. Usually, the organization issues you with a study leave with pay and expect you to come back man continue work or you are issued a study leave without pay and you can come back if there is an opening for you.

In my own case, I would only be supported with at least N500,000 and the sponsorship letter and other documents with bank statement of at least 500 million. Secondly, one of my bosses is the country director and co-founder of an international organization based in the UK. I also want to use him as a sponsor and the organization’s documents and financial details will also be issued to me.

On my part I have about 2 Million Naira in my account, after tuition fee payment. Order financial documents that I have in my possession are my investment with a mortgage Department of my organization Which is about 1,000,000, my pension Savings which is about 1.2 million as well as my investment of about 500,000 and this funds can only be accessed when I resign.

Friends these are all I have as regards to my finance and sponsorship. And I intend to apply for the preliminary Study Permit for my program in fall 2020 which is online. Please I want you to know that I have already accepted the admission offer and have also gone ahead to enrol for my courses which does not require me paying the tuition yet.

Please what are your thoughts on my current situation?

NB: The name of my school is Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
Tuition Fee: 1946.94 + other Payments = 2748.12
