The Delta State Police Command has arrested a gang of three suspected ritualist and a native doctor in possession of two human skulls. Focus Naija can report that the gang of ritualist were arrested at Nsukwa junction on their way to Kwale, the Ndokwa West headquarter while the native doctor was arrested in Ekpan Ovu where he exhumed the corpse of a 65-year-old woman that was buried in 2019 and detached the skull. According to a press statement signed by the acting PPRO of the state command, DSP Edafe Bright; a stop and search revealed that the three suspected ritualist from Ebonyi State were in possession of a container containing fresh human blood on their way to the shrine of a yet to be identified native doctor in Kwale for ritual purposes and a rosary tied with charms was recovered from them. On the other hand, the native doctor was apprehended by operatives attached to the Isiokolo Division after a relative of the deceased reported the incident of the exhumation to the police. Another human skull was found in his possession and he confessed that he got it from an Osun State native doctor that is now late. Read the statement below; On the 24/6/2021 at about 1700hrs, one Ejiro Okoro ‘m’ 35yrs reported that his sister (Name withheld) aged 65yrs who died sometime in 2019 and was buried at Ekpan Ovu, that the corpse was exhumed by unknown person. On the strength of this report, the DPO Isiokolo Division swung into action, and detailed police detectives to investigate. During the course of investigation, information gathered through intelligence revealed that, it was one Godfrey Akpudje ‘m’ 60yrs who happens to be a native doctor that exhumed the corpse, and removed the skull, he was immediately arrested and two human skulls were recovered from him. He said he got one of the human skull from Osun state from a native doctor who is now late, investigation is ongoing. 2.On the 28/6/2021 at about 1145hrs, Dragon patrol team 31 while on stop and search duty at Nsukwa junction along Ogwashi-Uku/Kwale road intercepted a commuter sienna bus travelling from Asaba to Kwale, all passengers were asked to submit themselves for search, during the search three suspects were found with a container filled with Fresh human blood, the three suspects namely Monday Nwite ‘m’ 27yrs, Madabuchi Nweke ‘m’ 26yrs and Nwite Sunday ‘m’ 21yrs all of Ebenta village in Ohaukwu LGA, Ebonyi State were immediately arrested. During interrogation the suspects confessed to have murdered some unknown persons in Ebonyi State and were on their way with the murdered person’s blood to a native doctor whose identity is unknown for now but resides in Kwale. They were taking the blood to the said native doctor for rituals purposes. One rosary necklace tied with charms was also recovered from them . Investigation is ongoing. 33-year-old U.S based Nigerian Boxer, Efetobor Apochi says his opponent would not be allowed to cross the fifth round in their Sunday tournament. The cruiseweight knock out king and captain of the Nigerian Boxing team disclosed this on an Instagram live session while teaching his followers the efficacy of spoken words. According to him, the fight is a day after tomorrow (Sunday) and the guy would not be allowed to cross the fifth round. He said, Knock Out is a must and if his opponent manages to cross the first, second, third and fourth rounds, he would not be able to make it through the fifth round. Recall, Efetobor Apochi defeated Deon Nicholson by TKO in the third round at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles, California to prove his superiority in the World Boxing Association (WBA) Cruiserweight title eliminator fight. The Big Brother Naija reunion which was aired tonight came with lots of drama and a physical fight between two female housemates. The fight began after Kaisha narrated how Ka3na reportedly disrespected her mother as they partied together. According to Kaisha, her mother liked Ka3na and wanted a photo with her. She revealed that her mother first sent Lucy before sending her sister Zainab to ask Ka3na for the photo, but she reportedly asked them to tell her mother to come to her table, a feedback she found disrespectful. Ka3na however maintained that she thought they were talking about Kaisha's manager. Lucy who backed Ka3na on this, however failed to explain why she didn't deliver the message when she was asked to. As the show continued, Kaisha made a demand for them all to stop talking about her mother. Lucy fired back by asking if her mother is a fruit, insisting she was talking about a fruit. A CCTV footage has captured the moment that some criminals armed with machetes robbed a boutique and disposed occupants. They were two in number, while one subdued the sales girl and customers by making them kneel to dispose them, the other mounted the door for surveillance. From the footage, it can be seen as they made away with the personal effects including jewelry belonging to the establishment and the customers. It was a sad day for the business owner. Staffs Denied Entry As Cows Takeover Entrance Of Ughelli North Local Government Headquarters in Delta State. Public outcry to the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa intensified on Monday morning when it was discovered that cows blocked the secretariat of Ughelli North Local Government area and prevented staffs from going inside. This is coming on the heels of calls for the implementation of the recently banned open grazing across Southern Nigerian States. Focus Naija can report that the cows with no herder in sight took strategic positions to regurgitate at the entrance of the headquarter. “The cows were sighted at about 6a.m this morning. Local government staffs that came early to work were denied entry into the secretariat because no sane person will want to pass through the herd to access an office”, a POS dealer told our reporter. In his response, an aide to the Ughelli North Local Government Chairman, Egube Jude Obaro said the cows were passing from the nearby Oteri community to an unknown destination when they were seen. “Please, we should be mindful of the content of what we post with intention of misinforming the public. A young man simply identified as Igho who is a singer was allegedly shot dead on Saturday evening in Warri, Delta State. Focus Naija can report that the singer popularly known by his stage name, “stankush” was killed by unknown assailants that were armed to the teeth and blocked the road at the Ugbolokposo axis of the city. The killing caused pandemonium as road users and others scampered for safety. As at the time of filing this report, the reason why he was killed has not been revealed. More details soon. This teenage robber simply identified as Emmanuel Peace operates with a dummy wooden gun, forcing victims without cash to make bank transfers to an account belonging to one “Anwanga Abasi Nathaniel Udo“. Focus Naija can report that he was apprehended by the Okpanam Division of the Delta State Police Command following a distress call during an operation. It was gathered from the acting PPRO of the state command, DSP Bright Edafe that the suspect had successfully forced an aged couple to make a transfer of 600k to the account before his arrest. Exhibits recovered from him at the point of arrest are two knives and a torchlight including the dummy gun used to scare his victims. Similarly, over N300,000 and three locally made guns were recovered from two suspected robbers arrested by Eagle-Net Special Squad while on a routine patrol along Ughelli-Warri express way on the 14th of June, 2021. According to the state police command, the countenance of the robbers in a navy blue Toyota Picnic car arose suspicion which led to a search of passengers in the vehicle. On the 14/6/2021 at about 1130hrs, Eagle-Net Special Squad, while on routine patrol/stop and search duty along Ughelli-Warri express way intercepted a Toyota Picnic car navy blue in colour with Reg. No. AAA 464 YA with six (6) male occupants, the countenance of some the passengers crave suspicion hence they were all asked to come down for search. While at the process of searching, three (3) locally made pistols, two (2) handsets, one (1) mobile phone, power bank and the cash sum of three hundred and sixteen thousand six hundred and forty naira only (N316, 640.00) were recovered in possession of two among the occupants. The two suspects, One Kelvin Godstime ‘m’ age 20yrs of Upper Afisere in Ughelli North LGA and Samson Ekutu ‘m’ age 23yrs of Ugbogeme of Udu LGA were arrested. Investigation is ongoing.
