Operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Unit of the Delta State Police Command stormed the converging hideout of a rival cult group and apprehended one Collins Okonji and 8 others suspected to be cultists where their mischievous meeting is to hold.

Focus Naija can report that the police operatives acting on a tip off after the initial arrest of three suspected cultists, swooped on them in the student community of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku.

According to a press release by the state police command, an English Pump action gun, a double barrel cut to size gun, one battle axe and two live cartridges were exhibits recovered from them.

The statement reads in part;

As a follow up on the directive issued to the Command state anti cult unit by the Commissioner of police Delta state command, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, psc+ on the cult related clash in Ogwashi-uku where three suspect were arrested on 6/6/2021, the Commander SACU acting on a credible intelligence, that another cult group will be converging somewhere in ogwashi-uku, on the 7/6/2021 at about 2300hrs, detailed and led operative of SACU who raided their hideout at Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South LGA OF Delta State where their mischievous meeting is to hold and arrested one Collins Okonji and 8 other suspected cultists. Exhibits recovered from them include: one (1) English Pump action gun, one (1) double barrel cut to size gun, one (1) battle axe and two live cartridges. Investigation is ongoing.

Offshore Worker Returns To Find Cucumber In Girlfriend’s Cupboard, Landlady Post Video On Social Media

A Nigerian offshore worker returned to find a huge cucumber hidden in his girlfriend’s cupboard after spending two weeks at work.

The landlady of the apartment that the lovers live in made good her threat by sharing the video of the incident on social media.

According to the distraught boyfriend, he came back from work to discover the huge cucumber wrapped inside a cond*m.

He told the landlady that he had caught the lady with a vibrator before but she denied doing anything with it.

He wondered if that was how she wants to be satisfying herself while always complaining that he does not.

She kept insisting that she doesn’t use the cucumber for anything despite the glaring evidence of cond*m on it.

The country home of Chief O.K Ugba in Amangwu Ohafia has been razed down by IPOB over claims that the solar street lights installed has cameras that monitor their activities.

The Delta State Police Command confirmed the death of two of it’s officers including an Assistant Superintendent of Police who died of High Blood Pressure following an attack on a police station in Umutu by unknown gunmen.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the acting PPRO of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Edafe Bright.

The statement reads in part;

“The Command lost two police men, while one ASP died out of High Blood pressure in the hospital. The armed bandit who came with the intention of causing mayhem and burning down the station and carting away arm did not succeed, as they could not penetrate the station, no arm loss, the station was not burnt, normalcy has been restored."

Mrs Akaa, the wife of an Assemblies of God Pastor in Umuahia district engaged the daughter of a church deaconess in a dirty fight.

The two women fought on the church altar as the deaconess and other church members tried to separate them.

The cause of the fight between the two women could not be ascertained as at press time but it is obvious that they have desecrated the altar of the Lord.

Last minute efforts to rescue a depressed man proved futile as he jumped to his death from the top floor of a residential building.

A video of the incident captured the man hanging to the rails of the top floor while people tried to grab him from behind but he broke loose and fell down dead.

Seun Kuti has accused politicians of supplying guns to all the bandits in Nigeria.

According to him, in the fight against banditry, politicians should be made to write down the names of those that they have given guns to, so that they can be retrieved.

He said the rampaging bandits are political thugs that are no longer relevant to politicians until 2023 that their services will be needed again thereby reducing the spate of kidnapping.

The Delta State Police Command in swift response has arrested the ring leader of the hoodlums that attacked a police checkpoint in the early hours of Wednesday, 26th May, 2021.

Focus Naija can report that during the attack, the hoodlums killed a policeman and set their patrol van on fire at Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state.

It was also gathered that the colleagues of the deceased officer that were on stop and search duty escaped with varying degrees of injuries.

Confirming the arrest of the ring leader, the acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright disclosed that the attack was carried out by hoodlums from the community.

Focus Naija can report that masked men suspected to be DSS operatives have allegedly whisked away the president of Ijaw Youths Council, Comrade Peter Timothy Igbifa over a proposed protest.

Peter Igbifa was scheduled for a meeting in Abuja today, where other Ijaw leaders and officials of the IYC are said to be waiting for his arrival.

Peter Igbifa has been at logger heads with the federal government following failure to constitute the NDDC board, he had earlier asked multinationals operating in the region to vacate until the board is inaugurated.

According to their narration, the father of the kids was the first to abscond before their mother who hails from Calabar left them and disappeared into thin air.

The landlady who has been feeding them after the disappearance of their parents disclosed that she was able to trace the father of the kids but he said he has given them to their mother as gifts.

She also said that the children’s grandmother supported her son’s decision to abandon them citing freedom to marry many wives as an excuse.

The remains of a 16-year-old girl, Comfort Otega Benjamin who was found dead a day after her birthday has been committed to Mother Earth.

Focus Naija can report that Comfort allegedly left her home on the eve of her birthday to take studio photos but never returned.

Preliminary reports after she was declared missing revealed that her mother traveled to Delta State for the funeral of a relative and nobody was at home when she left.

An intensified search led to the discovery of her remains a day after her birthday, throwing the family into mourning. She was raped, strangled and dumped at Nasarawa Gwom in Jos, Plateau.
