A suspected kidnapper captured in a viral video was caught after abducting two children of the same parents.

According to reports, the suspected kidnapper has been parading the street and when he felt that the coast was clear, attempted to abscond with the two little children.

However, someone on a storey building saw him and quickly raised alarm. He was subsequently taken to the palace of the traditional ruler from where he was handed over to the police for prosecution.

A hit and run driver on Sunday evening allegedly knocked down a couple trying to cross the ever busy NPA Expressway in front of the PTI conference center, Warri.

Focus Naija can report that the victims had attended a birthday ceremony that held at the PTI conference centre and were returning when the speeding vehicle crushed them to death.

The victims of the unfortunate accident were identified as Mr & Mrs Kingsley Akpor and the husband was a photographer that has a studio (Kiz Best Images) located at Agbarho.

The couple got married on December 21st, 2020 and the heavily pregnant wife was billed to deliver their first child this week.

As at the time of filing this report, their remains have been deposited at the Ekpan General hospital Mortuary.

The severed head of a yet to be identified man was on Saturday morning found at the popular Oghenevweta junction in Ughelli, Delta State.

The crisis that started on Thursday reportedly claimed the lives of three persons including a market woman that was hit by stray bullets.

"As Urhobo people, we share common ancestry and blood links. Our tradition and culture, importantly the laws of the Country, forbid the shedding of blood and destruction of properties. No piece of land or property is worthy of any form of blood shedding or destruction, especially by children of common blood and ancestry.

"The UPU emphasises that peace between the communities is crucial to finding a lasting solution to the lingering dispute, and therefore calls on the Chairman of Ughelli North LGA and the State Government to urgently intervene in this unending hostilities over the Ughelli Main Market by evolving a permanent solution."

The statement further appeals to all-meaning sons and daughters of the two communities to step into the matter and call the war mongers to order.

"We are also appealing to both political and community leaders of Ekiugbo and Otor-Iwhreko to step into the matter immediately and call their wards to order. The matter must not be allowed to escalate beyond the present state."

Notorious bandit leader Auwalun Daudawa, who led the abduction of over 300 students of Government Science Secondary School Kankara, Katsina state, has been killed, government sources confirmed to Channels Television on Friday.

Daudawa had laid down his arms and accepted Governor Bello Matawalle’s peace initiative on February 8.

But a few days ago, it was reported that Daudawa had returned to the forest to continue his banditry.

Confirming his killing to Channels Television via a telephone conversation, the Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs in Zamfara State, Abubakar Dauran said Daudawa left Gusau day two days ago.

He had reportedly told some people that he was going to attend one of his relatives’ wedding.

However, he rustled over 100 cows and killed the herdsman in charge, the Commissioner said.

In retaliation, some people around the area organised and killed him too.

Daudawa had surrendered 20 AK-47 rifles, 20 Magazines, one General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), one Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG) and several ammunitions to the Zamfara State government on the day he repented with five of his comrades.

An Uber driver unknowingly picked up a broke lady that offered him marathon sex in exchange for payment after a long trip.

Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to honorably resign or face impeachment.

Call for Justice as 98-Years-Old Women Brutally Tortured Dragged on the ground in Isoko Community, Relatives Accused Her of Witchcraft

98 years old Mrs Margret Okple is still in shock, pains and undergoing medical treatment after a brutal beating by her relatives, who accused her of being a witch.

The daughter, Mrs Alice Jete, who called On Human Rights organizations and the Nigerian Police to bring the perpetrators to face the law noted that the sad incident happened on the 19th of March, 2021 at Otor-Iyede, Isoko South LGA, Delta State.

The daughter said her mother is not a witch, she was falsely accused, severely beaten with logs and dragged on the ground into a room to be burnt to death.

This should not be tolerated, this [so-called] witch-craft issue is ridiculous and primitive,” said Alice,

The 98 years old woman, Mrs Margret Okpole was beaten by a relative named Wada Okpole in the company of other members of his gangs

Sunday Pada, Jerry Okpole, Emonana Okpole,
Egbe Aluya, Oghenemaro, and others, all from Isoko, Otor-Iyede.

"The matter was reported, at the Otor-Oweh Police Station on the 20th of April, 2021 but some community leader protected those youths from being arrested as they promised to consult their local Oracle which letter confirmed that the accused 98 years old woman was innocent".

Every effort to speak with Wada Okpole and members of the community proved abortive at press time, a video evidence was used to corroborate the story.

The Daughter has however appealed to The Delta State Commissioner of Police,
CP Ari Muhammed Ali and Humans Rights organisations to bring the perpetrators to face the law.

It is painful that superstitions have resulted in the victimisation of innocent elderly in a society where the extremely poor are often singled out as witches rather than being cared for.

There was a fire outbreak at the headquarters of the Delta State Police Command in Asaba, the state capital.

Focus Naija can report that the fire outbreak occurred at the control engine room of the police headquarters at about 2:45pm on Thursday, 22nd April, 2021.

According to a press statement issued by the command’s acting PPRO, DSP Edafe Bright, investigation into the cause of the fire that destroyed a part of the control engine room has commenced.

He said the fire was suspected to have started from an electric spark and it took the intervention of the state fire service that was called to put it out.

The statement also urged members of the public to ignore any contrary report concerning the fire outbreak.

Again, Lagos driver assaults policeman trying to arrest him. Breaks bottle on his head

A yet to be identified truck driver was captured in a trending video assaulting a policeman who tried to arrest him for breaking traffic rule in Agege.

The traffic warden entered the truck to prevent the driver from fleeing when he was attacked.

From the video, the driver could be seen exchanging words with the policeman before he pulled the bottle, broke it on his head and began to wrestle with him.

As at the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command is yet to react to the recent attack on the police officer.
