Simply put, what your question bores down to is : IS LIFE DEPENDENT ON FREEWILL OR DESTINY....see God destined man to know Good & Live forever but same time he gave him freewill. And because adam&eve's freewill wasn't in line with God's plan, his destiny was distorted. Man now "dies" and "knows sin".....even in the bible it was recorded that at a point when God saw the wickedness in mans heart, he REGRETTED creating man.
Now does this means God didn't see that. man in the future would be so callous before creating us? No! God created man and had a Gooood plan for us but at the point when he was disappointed with mans FREEWILL action that it was pointed out in the bible. Both freewill & destiny work together

I presume you have a phone that browses so you can google 'systemically important banks in Nigeria' or 'banks too big to fail in Nigeria' and read CBN's report on that. Ignorant of how wrong your premise is, you went on to assume an interest rate for the bank based on that premise. That's lame stuff. Interest rates on FD are negotiable everywhere and not reliant on just one factor. Interest rates on FD even differs across branches of the same bank with portfolios of the same FD principal.

Besides, your calculation of the op FD structure is not totally accurate. It's number of days not months that is used in calculating FD. So the op earned amount on a FD principal of 1.4m and 6% interest rate with a 6months tenor will be 41,424.66 before Withholding tax. And for your wrongly assumed figure of 6.5% interest rate for the bank, the earned interest will still be 44,876.71(not 45500) before WT.

Okay my apologies for saying skyebank isn't a top bank. Although if we are to go by statistics, FCMB and diamond bank are no match for skyebank......In the top 1000 global bank ranking, skybe bank isn't in the list but FCMB & diamond is, so don't talk to me about stats. I just don't want to argue banks coz it doesn't benefit me.
However, I still maintain that for a 6months fixed deposit, the highest op can get will not be more than 41,000naira after tax. But someone countered me in the comments above and said its impossible to GET AS MUCH AS 41,000, until I dished out available rates.....for now no bank will offer you above 6.5% for just 1.4m @ 30days # Quote me anywhere....I rather invest in t.bills for a better rate

You just confirmed my deductions. So v6 it is. More horses and not so much loss on mpg.
My last car was a 4cyl and it was REALLY BORING. I never owned a v6 but I knew something wasn't right. I confirmed it when I drove a friend's Avalon. My! I instantly realised I've been riding a bicycle.
On another occasion, I raced a mechanic friend who is not even a crazy driver like me. He was driving a VERY OLD v6 Camry. Something from d 80s. I had my 4cyl 2001 accord. The race was from push off. I nearly broke my engine dt day. No matter how I throttled, it was as if my car wasn't moving. The rickety old car embarrassed my fancy new car.
I'm getting a v6 next.

I still maintain my stance bro. I mentioned sauce kid vs godwon, coz they have a "diss track"targeted @ both of them....mode9 sang dead blow which had punchlines but it wasn't targetted @ nobody. "My train of thought run you over when you are on my track/ meaning i'm serving you on and off the court with what I spat". Gimme any line from Sinzu's 'Exit Strategy' and Godwon's 'I've been waiting for you' that beats that.

If I understand simple logic, the higher user mpg simply means dt users are seeing better fuel efficiency than what was actually stated in d books.
Comparing d user mpg of the i4 with d v6, I noticed it is almost d same. This means dt users of d v6 get almost d same fuel efficiencyfrom their v6 engine as users of d i4 engine.
If d above lay man deductions are correct, then d v6 engine is actually d better engine to buy.

I'm mixing things up......a higher mpg means a more fuel effecient car, from your picture. the i4 is still more effecient from customers review.....although the difference is minimal. 30.6mpg (i4) against 30.0 mpg (v6). Not much of a difference. With that very lil difference, I believe the v6 will be more attractive. Sorry for my previous comment. I'm reading double tonite coz of my "football teams loss"........what I was trying to point out in my previous comment which is completely not in line with the debate, is that. If a car owner acheives lower mpg than the stated mpg by the maufacturer. It could be as a result of some factors, like the clogged filter ,driving style etc
But from ur pic, the mpg are higher than the default figures from the car makers, that I cannot tell how possible it was acheived

From your pic, by default the 4cylinder toyota solara is more fuel effecient. Based on the 4th grade which is the consumer reviews, it could be higher than the "default stats" because of certain factors ; like clogged fuel filter, tyre pressure or even driving style. This was why I said "techncially" if we compared two cars by their mpg we should tell which is more fuel effecient. But then there are factors to be met, maybe those factors weren't met and that's why its a lil higher than the "default stats"

MPG is NOT a used value, it's a return. In your example, I4-engined car returns 22 mpg (travels 22 miles for every gallon of fuel) while the V6-engined car returns 21 mpg (travels 21 miles for every gallon of fuel).

Distance travelled per gallons of fuel used, the I4-engined car is consuming less fuel.

Thank you for correcting me, but it still bores down to the same thing that mpg is a determinant for identifying by default which car is petrol hungry.

With the poor FD rates these days, i doubt the op will get as much as NGN41,000.00 after tax for a period of six months with her initial capital of NGN1.4million.

Okay mr, I said she shouldn't expect more 41,000 because of recent (last 10-12days) I did a search for the best rates among the top banks and diamond bank offered me 6.5%. Both FCMB and Ecobank offered between 5-6%. Firstbank & uba rates are very poor bout 3.5-4.5%, Skyebank isn't that much of a top bank, so I believe they'll be needing much liquidity from individuals. If skyebank offers her 6.5% per annum same rate as diamond

1400000 * 6.5% = 91000(per annum)
In 6months = 91000/2 = 45,500
10% withholding tax = 4550
Her profit would be =45,500 - 4550
= 40,950naira for the 6mnths

Don't expect more than 45,000 naira (before tax). So you actual profit should be like 41,000

In lagos state alone where the return of investment on property is about 5-8%....I invest 30million to purchase a land&build a house, then rent it annually for 2.4million HIGHEST. 10yrs I never recoup my capital o, and u wan make I dey do "monthly" when I need the bulky cash sharpali........if this is implemented, lagos landord will charge tenants 100,000 per month for a flat that would have cost 600,000 annually to rent....they'll charge that high to cover the "job hazard" since per month means anything can happen ie tenant running away after 1mth.

If you dey do early morning jogging or cycling, you for don encounter 1 or 2 incidents.....if you see the bull dogs wey I dey see for my morning workout @ Festac, chooiii, I swear ur liver go cut if that dog charge @ you!
