10 times is alarming.

There are different ways God works. Mine was i got a drug for mine. Some people they don't need drugs again.

When I had seizure then, i bit my tongue so hard.. My right is almost lost but thank God. My lags behind a lot. And i was depressed.

I cried to God for mercy. Ofcourse God answered but I was patient.

Please give me more details whether it happens mostly morning or night. Is she always weak.. Does she play normal or she showing sign of depression.. What are neurologist saying.. Please go to epilepsy.com forum.. You ll be surprised how many people want to help cos they understand. Please help me with more info or pm the info....

God bless
am sorry for replying late, I was banned

yes, its very alarming.
it does not have a specific time,
she's very active. she plays normal and does not show any sign of depression.

whenever she has the crises, at times she would smile/laugh, and times she would be:
aggressive ,
be chewing teeth
be clapping her hands
or sleep off immediately

It was reported that she has functional seizure from the EEG done.

First, there's yet to be a known cure. But don't feel down yet.. Drugs can repress seizure for years as long as it is taken..

Please be wary of fruitless hope. Epileptic people do well in life so don't let misconception bring you down. Ok.

I think mozart or beethoven was.. You can browse men and women that did well even with the disability..

Don't be surprise i called 'disability'.. It simply means one is simply limited in some things.. Almost everyone has a form of it.. People that use med glasses are also disable.

Orientation is most needed to overcome this. Love your neice for she is a proper child. Don't ever think otherwise cos once you do, you add more to the problem.

Just to add.. Sufferers of these are very smart.. Not al but most from observation.
Thank u very much for ur concerns, I quite appreciate u.

The girl in question has the crisis everyday (like 10 times or more in a day) to the point of thinking that she would give up.

HealthWhy Taking Antibiotic For Cold And Cough Is A Bad Idea by Chumani(op):
Antibiotic resistance is now becoming a global
scare and what is making its worse is the fact
that people are taking antibiotics for minor
ailments like cold and flu without knowing its
implications. Lack of awareness makes them
reach out for over-the-counter medications for
instant relief and at times it is prescribed by the
doctors and other health care practitioners too.

But remember taking antibiotics for cold and
cough isn’t necessary. ‘Most of the time colds or
other upper respiratory tract problems are either
due to allergies or viral infection, which doesn’t
require antibiotics. It is only 10 percent of these
colds that would need an antibiotic after a
thorough proper clinical assessment by a doctor,’
says Dr Sandeep Sonawane, general practitioner,
Sunrise Hospitals, Mumbai.

Why antibiotics are a complete no-no for colds

Here is the bottom line: Antibiotics are prescribed to fight infections caused due to a bacteria and not viruses. Using a medication when it is not needed can cause your body to react in a different way. It might not seem like a harm you are doing to yourself. But over time, using antibiotics for no reason could lead to antibiotic resistance and make your body less effective against those medications. This is a reason they fail to work when your body really needs to fight a bacterial infection.

So when should you take antibiotics for a cold?

Never demand your doctor to prescribe
antibiotics or get it from a medical shop to treat
your cold. In case, your cold and cough is a
symptom of an underlying bacterial infection
then probably your doctor would prescribe one to
you. ‘The symptoms of cold due to a bacterial
and viral infection are usually the same. So only
a doctor can decide if you need an antibiotic for
your condition. Usually, a cold accompanied by
high-grade fever, weakness and which isn’t
responding to antipyretic medications
(medications given to treat fever) might need
prescribed antibiotics,’ says Dr Sonawane.

Why should you be cautious with antibiotics?

A multi-country survey done by the WHO reveals
a widespread misunderstanding on antibiotic
resistance. Antibiotic resistance happens when
bacteria change and become resistant to the
antibiotics used to treat the infections they
cause. Overuse and misuse of antibiotics
increase the development of resistant bacteria,
and this survey points out some of the practices,
gaps in understanding and misconceptions that
contribute to this phenomenon.
Remember November 16th to 22nd is antibiotic awareness week.

FoodWhy Instant Noodles May Be Destroying Your Health by Chumani(op): 8:51am On Nov 14, 2015
Instant “ramen” noodles are a massively popular
staple – especially in the collegiate population.
While genuine ramen noodles made from flour
and without additives are not cause for serious
concern, the cheap instant noodles are a total
additive-fest. People who live on campus and
find it hard to budget their money often end up
surviving on instant noodles several days a week.
In Asia, the popularity and convenience of
instant noodles is even bigger; it’s a quick,
cheap, and easy to way to ease your hunger –
but how do instant noodles affect your health?

#1 Instant Noodles Are Extremely High In
Sodium
Instant noodles are extremely high in sodium –
one packet containing 1875mg – more than the
entire RDA of 1500mg. Sodium is one of the
leading causes of both hypertension (high blood
pressure) and kidney dysfunction. How? Sodium
causes a build-up of fluid in the body, raising
blood pressure which destroys the delicate
vessels that supply the kidneys with blood. This
is the reason why people with kidney problems
are strongly advised to avoid preserved food
items and too much salt in their diet.

#2 Instant Noodles Are Loaded With MSG
MSG is a specific kind of sodium found in most
preserved food items like instant noodles and
canned food. MSG intake has been linked to an
increased risk for cancer and hypersensitivity
reactions like migraines, flushing, and chest pain.
While the FDA has officially labeled MSG as
generally safe, it remains a highly controversial
ingredient. Because of these reports of hypersensitivity and a potential risk for cancer,
they require all food items to list MSG as an
ingredient if it was used in any way to make the
product.

#3 Preservatives Affect Nutrition Absorption In
The Body because instant noodles have extremely high levels of preservatives, they can also affect the
way our bodies absorb nutrients. The stomach
and intestines are where nutrition absorption
takes place and are home to good bacteria that
aids in digestion. Preservatives harm these good
bacteria, lowering their numbers (and increasing
the number of bad bacteria!) and affecting our
bodies’ ability to absorb nutrients from food.
This can cause problems like nutrient deficiency
and long-term absorption problems.

#4 Instant Noodles Contain Antifreeze
Yes, they really do. While instant noodles have
your typical preservatives like MSG, they also
have lesser known ingredients that will have you
raising your eyebrow. Propylene glycol – a
colorless liquid – is a popular antifreeze because
of its ability to absorb water. It also happens to
be used to preserve the texture of instant
noodles as well, prolonging their shelf life. A
2004 study also linked propylene glycol in take
with an increased risk for liver cancer.

#5 Instant Noodles Have Been Linked With
Plasticizer Contamination
Plasticizers are additives that increase the flexibility of non-food items. However, back in 2011 and 2012, Chinese instant noodles (including certain brains that are exported to th US) were found to be contaminated with toxic levels of plasticizers. When this substance is ingested, it damages the digestive tract and
increases a person’s risk for gastrointestinal and
hepatic cancer.

#6 Instant Noodles Often Contain A Cocktail Of
Unhealthy Ingredients.
Instant noodles and their packet sauces
commonly contain canola oil, corn syrup and
Tertiary Butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) – a highly
controversial preservative that is also added to
perfumes, lacquers, and biodiesel!

Familyparalysed Nigerian Woman With 4 Blind Daughters Narrate Her Ordeal by Chumani(op):
The family of Christopher Okafor Onanwa in Umuoba Akabor village, Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State have been in sorrow for the past forty years.Four out of the seven children born in the family have been blind from their childhood. To make matters worse, the mother of the blind children, Mercy Okafor, is now paralysed,
following complications that arose after she had an injection.

Several years ago when Mercy got married to her heartthrob, Christopher, hopes were high on how they would live happily thereafter and raise kids that would in turn take care of them in their old age.

The arrival of the first child, Henry, a boy brought enormous joy to the family but trouble began soon after the birth of the second child, Chidiebere, a girl, who had what seemed then like a slight sight challenge and family attributed it to measles which was rampant at the time. Somebody advised that she should be taken to the eye hospital in Kano.

Frantically, the family ran to that place for solution. But after all efforts, she went totally blind. It was the same story for the 3rd born, Uchenna and two others
Nkechinyere and Kaodilichukwu.

“Greater part of my motherhood has been spent on taking care of the blind children,” their mother laments.

As Mrs. Okafor told Sunday Sun, prior to the problem that afflicted her children, no member of their family was born blind or had ever gone blind. This fact left her wondering what could have caused the problem for her children. She is now a widow having lost her husband in 2001. Her voice quivering as she struggled to stop herself from crying. She said:

“I had seven children, namely, Henry, Chidiebere,
Uchenna, Ekenedilichukwu, Nkechi, Ifeanyi and
Kaodilichukwu. While Henry, Ekene and Ifeanyi are free, the other four are completely blind and we have suffered terribly for the past 40 years."

“While I was healthy, I was the one running from
pillar to post seeking for help on how to trainand take care of the children. But I started having my own health challenge after some years until I was finally demobilised in 2012. Since then, I’ve been permanently confined to the wheelchair and the bed where I eat, pass urine and go to toilet."

“I was given an injection in a hospital which I suspect had either expired or had serious reactions on my system leading to paralysis of my two legs. I was at Amaku General Hospital, Awka for two weeks before my transfer to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, where I stayed for seven months, without recovering the use of my legs. I suffered from bed sore with serious wounds and the hospital fixed a urine bag and catheter on my system
which I’ve carried since then. We tried all we could for the blind children.”

ln the quest to rehabilitate the children, Mercy said the children were taken to Oji River, Enugu State, through the assistance of public-spirited individuals, where they were taught how to read and write. The family struggled to see two of them pass out from secondary school while the other two dropped out.

“The last one, Kaodilichukwu was in school when I broke down in sickness and that has been where we are since then. My daughter, Ekene is the only eye in the family now. She is the one who takes care of the five of us at home while her own future has been mortgaged because of our condition,” she further lamented.

The only sighted lady in the family, Ekene Okafor in a brief chat with Sunday Sun corroborated her mom’s earlier assertion that the problem of her brother and three sisters has put her in complete servitude.

“Taking care of four blind people and a bedridden mother is not easy. I used to be a petty trader but when my mother broke down, I had to close the shop. The first son of my family was involved in a ghastly road accident that nearly crippled him and in the process of treatment he lost all his fortune too.
Sometimes I ask God questions but I know that
our Redeemer lives,”
she said.

This needs more history. First, you age bracket please? Did this start suddenly or gradually? Has it happened before? Can you relate with any food that you ate? Are you having passing stools? Constipation? Diarrhea? How many times did you vomit? And how much (quantity) is the vomitus?

IT does sound like you have lots of gas in your bowel. The questions is why? I will start with food intolerance. Avoid or limit carbohydrate laden foods diary foods (cow milk, cheese et. al), legumes (beans). Keep food diary so you can note what is causing it and eliminate it.

Best.
Thanks. am in my early thirties.i cant fathom how, bt i think is suddenly. yes, av experienced it before but not as long as this. no difficulty in passing stools,no constipation,no diarrhea. very small vomitus.

i dont take diary. i eat much of rice and garri than beans.
