The 40 liters I wrote is called an exageration in Use of English. I wanted to use that illustration to disproof the guy that was trying to say that excessive use of oil is not a serious issue. As for the person asking why I wanted to buy 2003 honda, it is because people sell out their 2003 honda at a very cheap price because of the usual problem of the model. Since, I can correct the problem, I can use the car well. I like the car because it is very cheap.

These problems, apart from costing you your money, can also cost you your life. Most accidents that occur in our roads are not all caused by driver's carelessness but as a result of some of these problems I listed. These were mistakes made by the manufacturers and not the fault of users. It is good for users to know the usual problems associated with the models of cars they use in order to be alert and not to be surprised by a sudden change in their cars' behavior. Share your experiences.

Those asking what is wrong with excessive oil usage should imagine traveling with 40liters galon full of oil and toping oil like fuel in any little journey or else engine will knock. Most of these problems I listed dont develop immediately but they are the usual problems encountered as the mileage of the cars increase. The problems can be fixed but that is your extra money. These faults are also seen in other models but it is worse in the listed models.

Sports / Golf - Tiger Woods Injured By Soft Hotel Bed by chuqudy(m): 4:48am On Aug 22, 2013
Woods skipped the back nine of the pro-am at the Barclays because he was suffering from a stiff neck and back.

He continued to walk with his playing group but only chipped and putted and blamed a soft hotel bed for his problems.

Woods has suffered from an elbow injury this season and was also pictured holding his back during the recent US PGA Championships.

When asked if he would be requesting a new bed, Woods smiled and said: "We'll have something."

The Barclays at Liberty National in New Jersey is the first event of the FedEx Cup playoffs and begins on Thursday.

Science/Technology / Satellites Glimpse Ultra-powerful “black Hole” Whirlpools In Atlantic by chuqudy(m): 4:41am On Aug 22, 2013
Satellites have shown two mysterious 'black hole' whirlpools in the South Atlantic ocean - ultra powerful “vortexes” which suck water down into the depths.

The whirpools - never witnessed before - would suck down ships, debris and even living creatures, moving 1.3 million cubic metres of water per second.

Two of the black holes - or “maelstroms” - have been sighted in three months by physicists from Zurich and Miami.

The powerful vortices of current have been described as ‘maelstroms’ and are ‘mathematical analogues’ for black holes – which is to say they do exactly the same with water that black holes do with light.

The discovery could give new insights into how oceanic currents transport debris and may even have implications for climate change studies.

Astronomical black holes bend space and time into a perpetually collapsing vortex. Light itself bends around them, which enables astronomers to recognise their existence.

Similarly, these oceanic maelstroms funnel current into an almost permanent spiral, trapping debris, oil and potentially living creatures in a body of water. Hardly anything leaks out.

The scientists used Edgar Allen Poe’s 1841 story ‘A descent into a Maelstrom’ to describe their discovery:
“The edge of the whirl was represented by a broad belt of gleaming spray; but no particle of this slipped into the mouth of the terrific funnel…”
The ability to apply the same mathematical principles to water currents on earth as black holes in space is an unexpected side-effect of the theory of general relativity.

This phenomenon has been observed in the South Atlantic and South-western Indian Ocean, using satellite imagery designed to spot the aquatic equivalent of black hole currents. According to scientists, the maelstroms are prevalent in this area thanks to the southbound Agulhas current in the Indian Ocean.

In a three-month period, two perfect matches were found to mimic black hole behaviour, “We have found exceptionally coherent material belts in the South Atlantic, filled with analogues of photon spheres around black holes,” said George Haller, from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich and Francisco Beron-Vera at the University of Miami in Florida, who worked on the study.
The phrase ‘photon spheres’ refers to the light that is trapped around astronomical black holes, and in this instance is comparable to the rings of debris that are forming around these ocean maelstroms. As Haller and Beron-Vera’s findings note, ‘these vortices will capture and swallow nearby passively floating debris.’

In their research findings, Haller and Beron-Vora express their surprise at finding real-world examples that hold so closely to the theoretical equations. ‘Vortices in turbulence are often envisaged as rotating bodies of fluid, traveling as coherent islands in an otherwise incoherent ambient flow. This… …view is appealingly simple, yet challenging to apply in actual vortex detection.’

The maelstroms are detected by their rotating edges, which the scientists found were reliable indicators of the vortex within, based on pioneering research carried out by Stephen Hawking on black holes: ‘Intuitively, one expects that any…vortex in the fluid must contain such a singularity in its interior, just as all black holes are expected to contain Penrose-Hawking singularities. This expectation turns out to be correct’.

The singularities, as they have been termed, last for months at a time, moving across the ocean without interference from other currents.

Thus they can transport water of different temperatures and salinity to other areas of the ocean, potentially influencing the regional climate.

Haller and Beron-Vera found that the vortices transported water in a north-western direction 30% faster than had previously been reckoned – at a rate equating to 1.3 million cubic metres of water per second.

In addition, the maelstroms were found to occur four times deeper in the ocean than previously estimated; the study found examples as deep as 2000m below the surface.

Foreign Affairs / World 'has Used Up 2013 Resources' by chuqudy(m): 8:27pm On Aug 20, 2013
Humans have used up the natural resources the Earth can provide for the year and are now in "overdraft", campaigners have warned.

The world has reached "earth overshoot day", the point in the year that humans have exhausted supplies such as land, trees and fish and outstripped the planet's annual capacity to absorb waste products including carbon dioxide.

For the rest of the year, the world is in ecological debt, with fish stocks and forests being depleted, land degraded and carbon dioxide building up in the atmosphere, the Global Footprint Network said.

Earth overshoot day is calculated by comparing the demands made by humans on global resources - our "ecological footprint" - with the planet's ability to replenish resources and absorb waste.

This year, in less than nine months we have used as much of nature as the Earth can regenerate in a year. Earth overshoot day has fallen a couple of days earlier than it did last year.

The Global Footprint Network said that in 1961, humanity only used around two-thirds of the available natural resources on Earth, but by the 1970s increased carbon emissions and consumption began to outstrip what the planet could provide.

Humans now need the equivalent of 1.5 planets to sustain us, and by mid century it will have risen to two planets, the campaigners said.
China has the biggest total ecological footprint, because of its large population, but other countries have much higher demands on resources per person. If everyone were to live like US residents we would need four planets to supply demand.

Alessandro Galli, Global Footprint Network regional director, said: "Everyday life in many Mediterranean countries is showing us what it means to live beyond financial limits.

"Ecological and financial deficits are two sides of the same coin. Over the long run, nations cannot deal with one deficit without addressing the other."

The question should have been "what's the highest mileage a car can go?"

Is that not more realistic?

Travel / Japan Volcano, Sakurajima, Spews Ash And Lava Again by chuqudy(m): 12:58am On Aug 20, 2013
One of Japan's most active volcanoes, Sakurajima, has erupted in the southwest of the country and coated a nearby city with a layer of ash.

Massive ash falls made the area look as if was snowing at night and railway operators stopped service in Kagoshima temporarily so ash could be removed from the tracks.

Ash wafted as high as 5km above Sakurajima in Kagoshima on Sunday afternoon, forming the highest plume since the Japan Meteorological Agency started keeping records in 2006.

Lava flowed about 1km from the fissure, with several huge volcanic rocks rolling down the mountainside.

On Monday the city started mobilising garbage vehicles and water sprinklers to clean up.

No injuries or damage have been reported.

Business largely returned to normal in Kagoshima, a city of 600,000 people living only 10km from the volcano, whose eruptions are part of their daily life.

Japan Meteorological Agency says there are no signs of a larger eruption at Sakurajima but similar activity may continue.

Japan is on the Pacific Ring of Fire and has frequent seismic activity.

Health / How UK Man Starved Self To Cure Diabetes In 11 Days by chuqudy(m): 5:52am On Aug 19, 2013
A UK man has explained how by following a "starvation" diet he managed to cure his diabetes in just 11 days.

Richard Doughty, 59, said that he was shocked when a routine health check revealed he had Type 2 diabetes because he has always been a 10st 7lb healthy weight, 5ft 7in man, the Daily Express reported.

Doughty insisted that he had no family history of diabetes, always ate a healthy diet, never smoked and or even had a sweet tooth.

When Doughty surfing on the net about his condition, he found that Newcastle University scientists had created a low-calorie diet, which is said to reverse diabetes in eight weeks.

The diet consisted of 600 calories from meal replacement shakes and soups and 200 calories from green vegetables, in addition to 3 litres of water a day.

Doughty said that surviving on a soup, two shakes and green veggies wasn't easy, but he stuck to the diet for 11 days and reduced his blood sugar to a healthy non-diabetic level.

He said his weight dropped off, and tests proved he had reversed the condition.

He added that his condition has remained under control for the past year and he has kept to just under 9st. (ANI)

Education / ASUU Strike End In Sight by chuqudy(m): 4:45am On Aug 19, 2013
The end to the present strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may be in sight as President Goodluck Jonathan has approved N400 billion for the infrastructural development of Nigerian universities.

The document to this effect is expected to be made available today at the meeting of the presidential committee on implementation of the NEEDS assessment in the universities with the leaders of the four university-based unions – the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The President of SSANU, Samson Ugwoke, made the revelation while addressing his union members at the SSANU National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the weekend at the University of Abuja.

Ugwoke, briefing the SSANU members on the activities of the NEEDS assesment implementation committee, led by Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam. He noted that the fund was different from the N100 billion Governor Suswam had raised from donor agencies and big companies to tackle the problems of Nigerian universities in 2013.

The labour leader said: “Let me give you a tip on what the NEEDS assessment committee is doing. The president has approved that within the next four years; N400 billion would be expended in infrastructural development of Nigerian universities, to transform the universities to international standard.

“N100 billion has already been raised by Suswam committee out of which 61 universities have been pencilled down, as contained in the NEEDS assessement committee. The N100 billion is expected to address needs of the universities in the areas which include re-furbishing and renovation of lecture theatres and lecture halls, re-furbishing and renovation of laboratories/libraries and the renovation of hostels.

“The second category is building of new hostels of international standard, self-contained rooms, the latest model in the world. That is the standard to be built in every university, and also the state-of-the-art laboratories as well as classrooms, lecture theatres and the halls.”

Ugwoke pointed out that the money had been shared and out of the N100 billion, N96 billion had been sent to universities.

He added: “The committee is meeting again on Monday, and by Monday (today), the document will be out. This time around, it is not only by giving university money, but it will be monitored to ensure that the money is used to transform the universities, to bail universities out of the present situation and developed to an international recognized university standard.”

Health / The Hidden Truth About Aspirin by chuqudy(m): 3:35am On Aug 18, 2013
Why Aspirin is so Damn Risky

Like deflating a tire, aspirin depletes the body of life-saving nutrients. These include folic acid, iron, potassium, sodium and vitamin C. Symptoms associated with such depletion include: anemia, birth defects, heart disease, elevated homocysteine (a risk factor for heart disease), headache, depression, fatigue, hair loss, insomnia, diarrhea, shortness of breath, pale skin and suppression of the immune system.

Internal bleeding is one of the biggest risks. Studies show that aspirin users die sooner compared to those not taking it.

Body Count Increasing Among Aspirin Users

Each year, a grossly underestimated 7600 deaths and 76,000 hospitalizations occur in the United States from use of aspirin and other NSAIDS like Motrin, Aleve, and Celebrex. But, the FDA states that only about 10% of deaths caused by NSAIDS are reported.

Doctors aren’t willing to acknowledge aspirin as the deadly culprit. Death by the drug is usually attributed to the victim being either too damn sick or too damn old. Therefore, the body count is much higher than we are told.

In 1986, Dr. Otis R. Bowen, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, issued a warning reminding parents that children and teen-agers with flu symptoms “should not be given aspirin.” Using it for the flu or Chicken Pox, aspirin puts users at risk for Reyes Syndrome, a disorder that causes organs to shut down, and large amounts of bloody, watery liquid to accumulate in the lungs.

In 2009, historian and researcher Dr. Karen Starko showed that mortality rates were increased during the 1918 flu epidemic due to aspirin use! At the time, massive amounts of the drug were purchased by the military and given to soldiers. The “always pharmaceutically compliant” Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) suggested a dose of 1,000 milligrams every three hours. That’s the equivalent of almost 25 standard 325-milligram aspirin tablets in 24 hours – twice the daily dosage generally considered safe today! Minus the overdose, it’s predicted that death rates wouldn’t have been so tragically high.

Politics / TWIST IN ABACHA Cso’scase: Why Al-mustapha, Shofolahan Should Die – Lagos Govt by chuqudy(m): 2:53am On Aug 18, 2013
It is not yet uhuru for Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer, CSO, to late Head of State, Gen Sani Abacha, over his acquittal by the Court of Appeal as Lagos State government on Monday, filed an appeal at the Supreme Court to challenge the court’s decision that set him and Alhaji Lateef Shofolahan free over the murder of Alhaja Kudirat Abiola. Shofolahan was Kudirat’s aide.

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, who disclosed this, said the state government took the decision after one month of thorough evaluation of the judgment and found out “there are enough and very good grounds for appeal.”
Ipaye told journalists in Lagos: “The step by the state government was to ensure that all issues were fully and well articulated and that the victim’s family, the defendants and the society were not deprived of the last window of opportunity provided by the constitution for the resolution of the case”. He added, “Government was committed to ensuring that law abiding residents and visitors continued to live, work and pursue their various aspirations in a safe and secure environment in the state.”

The Commissioner argued that the state would be encouraging impunity by not challenging the judgment of the Appeal Court, especially when it stated that the delay in the criminal trial of Al-Mustapha, Sofolahan and others earlier freed were deliberately ochestrated to frustrate their trial.

He said: “I can report that we have indeed appealed the judgments, one in respect of Al-Mustapha and the other in respect of Lateef Shofolahan. Both have been studied closely and we came to the conclusion that there were good grounds for appeal and we have since filed all the necessary papers. We did that yesterday (Monday).
Officially, we have put in our indication that we want to contest the judgment of the Court of Appeal at the Supreme Court.

“This step will also ensure that all issues are fully articulated and the victim’s family, the defendants and the society are not deprived of the last window of opportunity provided by the Constitution for the
resolution of the case.”

Loopholes

Answering question on the admissibility of loopholes in a paid advert, Ipaye denied this, but stated, “What we said was that the accused persons deliberately delayed the trial and this may have affected the case, because justice delayed is justice denied.

This is one of the major reasons we are challenging the judgment of the Honorable Justices of the Appeal Court. It will discourage sense of impunity that if someone can deliberately delayed his own case, he may eventually escape justice. This will not be good for justice delivery,
our democracy and the nation.”

Also, the Commissioner addressed several issues including the controversial relocation of some Igbo
indigenes from Lagos State, detention of some minors in Kirikiri prisons and the Amnesty International’s report on Badia area of Lagos State. Kudirat Abiola was murdered on June 4, 1996 by gunmen suspected to be government’s agents following which Al-Mustapha and Shofolahan were charged.

Three other persons-Mr James Danbaba, an ex-Lagos police boss, Lt Col. Jibrin Bala Yakubu, former military administrator of Zamfara State and commander of Mopol in the Presidential Villa, and CSP Mohammed Rabo Lawal also stood trial in the case before they were freed.

In the appeal, Lagos State government formulated14 issues before the Supreme Court to justify why the apex court should set aside the decision of the Appeal Court. In separate motions on notice filed against the judgement of the appellate court, the state formulated eight and six issues against Shofolahan and Al-Mustapha respectively. The motion was brought pursuant to section 233(3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), Section 27(2 and 3) of the Supreme Court Act, Cap S15, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, Order 7 Rule 1 of the Court of Appeal Rules 2011 and under the inherent jurisdiction of the court.

It prayed the apex court to set aside the judgement of the Appeal court, which upturned the conviction of the respondents by a lower court presided by Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos High Court on January 30, 2012. The lower court sentenced Al-Mustapha and Shofolahan to death by hanging for the murder of Kudirat.

Evidence

The state argued that the appellate court erred in law by discharging and acquitting the two men when the evidence linking them to the crime was not materially challenged.

According to the state, the contradictions in the testimonies of the prosecution’s star witnesses, Barnabas Jabila (Sgt. Rogers) and Abdul Mohammed (Katako), were not sufficiently substantial to warrant the acquittal of both Al-Mustapha and Shofolahan, arguing that the testimonies of PW2 (Jabila) and PW3 ( Mohammed), were detailed, graphic and consistent.

It contended that there was evidence on the record of appeal that the second prosecution witness (Jabila) explained the immaterial differences in his evidence made under examination-in-chief and under cross-examination.

The state added: “PW2 (Rogers) gave detailed and consistent evuidence of the consipracy to murder; and murder of the deceased. These detailed facts were not materially controverted even under cross-examination. “There was evidence on record of Appeal that PW2 explained the immaterial differences in his evidence made under examination-in-chief and confirmed under cross-examination and in spite of the detailed consistent evidence of PW2 and the detasiled explanation of the immaterial differences, the Court below still went ahead to impeach and disregard the whole evidence.”

On the second ground, the government stated that the court erred in law when it held that there were material contradictions that rendered the testimony of the third prosecution witness, (Abdul Katako) unreliable and asserted that the witness gave graphic and detailed evidence of conspiracy to and murder of Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, adding that his testimony was neither denied nor discredited in cross-examination.

It said: “Section seven of the Criminal Code identifies circumstances where a person may be held liable for commission of offence”, adding, “there was concrete evidence (both oral and documentary) before the trial court indicating the participation of the second and third prosecution witnesses and the respondent in the alleged crimes.”

The government further stated that both witnesses had testified how they participated in the killing of Kudirat under the instruction given by Al-Mustapha with Shofolahan’s assistance as an informant but later denied and recanted the incriminating testimonies during cross-examination.

It stated: “The Court of Appeal gave overriding credence to a statement made under-cross examination by PW3 that he was in Azare on June 4, 1996 (day Kudirat was murdered) when the Defence did not show through the witness that even if the accusation was true, he could not have committed the offence and then proceeded to Azare, Bauchi State.”

It added: “DW1 (Al-Mustapha) provided the logistics for killing the deceased in Lagos. PW3 (Mohammed) was assigned as driver to PW2 (Jabila) because of his knowledge of Lagos and PW3 gave graphic evidence of how he drove PW2 to the scene of the crime and how PW2 shot the deceased severally.

Conspiracy

On conspiracy, the stated government stated: “PW2 (prosecution witness) admitted meeting DW2 (Shofolahan) and the killing of the deceased and testified that DW2 took them to the deceased’s house and provided information about the identification and movement of the deceased. “The statements of PW2, PW3 and even DW1 tendered and admitted by the trial court showed that these three witnesses indeed met and had common intention to commit a crime.

It was an undisputed fact that Alhaja Kudirat Abiola was shot and died on June 4, 1996. PW2 (Rogers) admitted he severally shot the deceased on June 4, 1996. “It was unchallenged that DW1 gave his gun to PW2 for killing the deceased and the insistence of PW2 that he would be surprised that he used 5.6mm gun instead of 9mm to kill the deceased.

There was circumstantial evidence establishing the fact that DW1 and DW2 participated and aided the elimination of Alhaja Kudirat Abiola.” Ipaye, in the appeal notices, said the contradictions were immaterial and urged the Supreme Court to affirm the death penalty.

On ground four of the appeal, the state argued: “The Court below erred in law by substituting its own assessment and evaluation of the evidence with that of the Trial Court in its judgment in circumstances of this case, when it held that there was no creduible and reliable evidence in the entire record to justify the conviction of the Respondents.”

It pointed out that the the Appeal Court “did not properly evaluate the evidence on the printed record which the Trial Court considered in arriving at its conclusion before setting aside the conviction of the Respondents.

“In the circumstances of this case where the Court below could not assess the witnesses, consider their demeanour, the nuances of the process before the court, including specific conducts, or attitudes of the witnesses in relation to specific, critical, vital; and material evidence, oral or otherwise; the Court did not disclose sufficient reasons for substituting its own views for those of the Trial Court”, it added.

Bribe, inducement

On the argument that Rogers was bribed or induced, Lagos State government submitted: “The Court below erred in law by misconstruing what the appellant characterised lawful “Witness Protection”measure as “Promise” and on one hand ignored it but on the other hand attached so much weight to the Respondent’s characterisation as promise.”

Pointing on the error, the state said, “A court both trial and appellate is not allowed to approbate and rebrobate at the same time; PW2 confirmed that he had agreed before the “promise” to give evidence against the defendants as part of his duties to the State ten years before his oral testimony.

It said further: “In his later attempt to resile from his testimony, PW2 (Rogers) categorically stated that it was human to react that way because his family members were attacked and the prosecution could not help them.

The Court below, even in the face of credible and uncontroverted testimony about witnesses’ fear or concern, and aspiration for safety for themselves and their families, failed to recognize the purpose and value of such evidence in its assessment of the evidence before it.”

It added that the Appeal Court ignored relevant materials and gave weight to irrelevant materials and misconstrued the Witness Protection programme for PW2 and PW3 as inducement and discredited their entire evidence.

It concluded that there was no controverted evidence of PW2 (Rogers)concurrence of DW1 (Al-Mustapha) that he is the leader of the Strike Force constituted under the military regime of Late General Sanni Abacha and that DW1 provided logistics for the killing of the deceased (Kudirat) and that PW3 (Abdul) was assigned as driver to PW2 because of his knowledge of Lagos and he gave graphic evidence of how he drove Rogers to the scene of the crime and how he shot the deceased severally.

The state therefore prayed the apex court to allow the appeal as well as setting “aside the judgment of the Court below delivered on 12th July, 2013 which set aside the conviction of the Respondents for offence of conspiracy to commit murder and murder.”

The Court of Appeal in its judgment, had stated that there was a “gaping hole” in the prosecution’s case. Highlighting the default, the appellate court said the prosecution first witness, Dr. Ore Falomo, testified that the bullet extracted from Alhaja Kudirat Abiola’s skull was a “special bullet” that could have come “only” from the Presidency.

The victim, according to the witness, died after a three-hour surgery to remove the bullet and after suffering a second heart attack. Falomo said that the police took away the bullet “for investigation”and never returned it.

The appellate court noted that the prosecution failed to state the whereabouts of the bullet, get a ballistician to examine the bullet or tender it as an exhibit before the court.“The prosecution failed to produce the bullet, and there was no explanation as to why it was not available,” the court held.

Again, Mr. Jabila, during his testimony, according to the court, gave a vivid account of how they, acting on the orders of Al-Mustapha, trailed their victim from her Ikeja home to Lagos-Ibadan expressway where they sprayed her white Mercedes Benz with bullets.

However, under cross-examination, the witness said he was in Abuja on June 4 but was asked to give such testimony as part of an agreement with the Federal Government and Lagos State government. Jabila said that he was promised a job, house, and security.

His wife had been on a N15, 000 monthly salary which was later increased to N20, 000. He also said that Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the then Lagos State Attorney General and the late Bola Ige, then Attorney General of the Federation, paid him repeated visits while in detention, with the latter giving him N100,000 on one occasion.

Mr. Abdul, who had admitted being Mr. Jabila’s driver when the murder was committed, said he was made the same offers by the authorities including a promise that he would not be brought to court – but they reneged on their promise. When he recanted, Mr. Abdul said that he was in Azare, Bauchi State, on the day of the murder.

“There was no explanation for this somersault,” Justice Pemu who read the judgment said. No date has been fixed for the hearing of the case. However, the judgment of the Supreme Court will determine whether or not the joy and the reunion of Al-Mustapha and Shofolahan with their loved ones will endure.

Islam for Muslims / How Is St. Peter Honoured In Islam? by chuqudy(m): 2:06am On Aug 17, 2013
I saw in Wikipedia where Islam was included in the list of religions that honor Peter, the apostle of Jesus Christ. I want a real Islamic schooler to explain this. I don't need any reply from an illiterate but a standard and advanced Muslim scholar.

Culture / The Secrets Of A Creepy Crypt Holding More Than 1,000 Skulls Revealed by chuqudy(m): 1:36am On Aug 17, 2013
The secrets of a creepy crypt holding more than 1,000 skulls and bones have been revealed. The 13th century crypt under the Holy Trinity Church in Rothwell, Northamptonshire, has been a source of great mystery and intrigue for villagers in the market town. The spooky collection is not the remains of soldiers or victims of the plague as it was once thought, but a place of memorial for superstitious pilgrims who wished to pray among the bones of their ancestors.
