Just like I said, metaphorically speaking, our sins are Jesus' "sins". It does not mean that Jesus is a sinner. However, I am drawn closer to the church now because of Pope Francis. I can also see that many people are drawn closer to the Church since Francis became Pope. Nothing pursues a sinner from God more than when you try to Judge a sinner first for his sins. But when you present love and forgiveness first to the sinner, the sinner would start to show interest in the church and gradually drops all his sins. I think this is the tactics Francis is using. But it would not work on everybody especially the "I too knows", "hipocrists", "holier than thous" and the bigoted minds.

Come to think of it, is Pope Francis inexperience as to give room for him to be misquoted always in his controversial statements? Do you know Pope John Paul II reigned for 25 years and never for once did catholic had to defend any controversial statements? Pope Francis is just few months into his reign and this is the 4th time people are coming to his defence.

What do you have to say to his statement when he said when people go to confession they should tell 'Jesus this is your sin and I will sin again'? He said Jesus is a sinner for us, and so when we sin it is not that we are confessing our sins, but only handing over Jesus sins back to Him.

There are many websites there that are good in misinterpreting whatever Pope says. I was not taught to go to confession like you just quoted. So i would prefer to hear directly from Pope Francis who unfortunately for me speaks in Latin and not English. There is the possibility of misinterpretation. I know what the Pope was trying to say is that Christ bears our sins as if it were His sins. This is the only advantage of those who believe in Christ's salvific power. Christs caries your sins for you and metaphorically speaking, your sins becomes Christ's sins. But, the Pope should have added the popular words of St. Paul( which I believed the Pope must have sayed many times but which the media would not like to show you) which says "should we remain in sin so that grace will multiply? Not at all"

Point of correction, good works is the one and only sign of being in Christ. The problem with people like you is lip service. You just feel that once you open your mouth and say "Jesus I accept you as my personal Lord and saviour" then, an automatic position would be reserved for you in heaven. Em well, people fail to understand that Pope Francis is a Jesuit. Let me help you guys. Jesuits don't see money as we see it. They see money as exactly what it is--a paper. They dont know what is gold. Gold is just a stone. Your costly cars, houses, etc makes no meaning to them. Once you can see a means of transport, a place to lay your head, something to eat and be healthy, you should be okay. I heard of a Jesuit priest that carried a masqurade to a church. All your fame, your money, your power, etc are non existent things. Nothing has the power to make you sad or even happy." This punishment of suspention or banning from car talk has really suffered me. I was not payed my monthly salary because of this suspension. I was also unable to eat and drink.
