MrFuckallday: Good day. Go to a court with an older relative and get a court declaration of age. With the above, go to National Population Commission and get an attestation of birth or birth certificate. Whichever you are issued is widely accepted. 2 Likes 1 Share |

yusfaith78: 1. Since she's a fresh graduate without work experience, it is advisable she applies for courses related to microbiology. I would recommend you check the skill list for occupations related to this field. 2. We have been advised to apply to schools in major cities because there are more job opportunities in those areas. You will also benefit from this considering you would be going with wifey. 3. I don't know how financially buoyant you are but my guess is that you have a job or a biz in Nigeria. So I would suggest you let her apply first then file in an application to join her once her grant is out. Doing a joint application will require you to provide proof of adequate funds to cover for your trip, tuition, OSHC and couples living expenses which is quite a lot. My one cent. I'm not a guru but this is just my humble opinion. |

You have to bargain oh. They might tell you 25k but offer 5k. Tell them you are a student, worst case scenario pay 7k. 1 Like |

zeemo2007: There's no point changing the dolls to naira. Print out the SOA for all her accounts, notarize and submit. The moment the 13k dolls is converted to naira and paid into her naira account makes that deposit a money lodgement. Just last June, a fellow I know, submitted his Father's SOA with a closing balance of N2.9m for visa application. The lucky lad got his grant two weeks later. As long as the inflow and outflow of your mum's account is good, you are good to go. |

Loverquin: I completely agree with you. Applicants who applied as far back as May/June should either call or write them as from next month. I don't see this as pressuring them to finalize an application but just a reminder that the application is far beyond the processing time. My application is 160 days long. Haba nah. If I had invested the A$7,500 paid on tuition & OSHC on TBills, by now I would be 20% of that sum richer. . The truth is the earlier we know our fate, the better. We need time to prepare for the trip and settle in properly before commencement of studies. One needs time to adapt to a new environment, people, culture, food .. etc before school starts. Abeg oh man need start school with clear head. 1 Like |

iykedpetes: Buy plenty of chill pills. But while waiting, get your stuffs ready in case the grant comes in late. If it doesn't, defer to Feb 2018. There's really nothing you can do to facilitate the visa assessment. 3 Likes 1 Share |

chimax1: Sure you can. Submit all relevant CAC documents that shows your sponsor as the Director/CEO of the company. Also your sponsor has to clearly state the nature of his biz on his sponsorship letter. This will clear the air on his source of funds. |

peteredo: For visa application, your sponsor needs to show evidence of income. In this case, he needs to provide employment letter, pay slip and SOA. Like I said, monthly income of 200k is not enough to make him a sponsor. |
Travel / Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Churkie: 5:19pm On Sep 13, 2017 |
peteredo: Red flag. I read somewhere that a sponsor needs to have a minimum annual income of A$60,000. N200,000/month is just N2.4m/annum. |

aragonbaba: You will have to provide documents that will clarify your source of funds. If you are an employee, you have to provide your employment letter, pay slip, salary SOA, if possible letter of introduction from work place and a letter from them stating you would return to work after your studies. The latter will serve as a home ties. Other docs to be submitted; *School docs (waec, transcript, degree certificate, *Birth certificate *COE *OSHC *Parents Pp data page *Personal statement *If applicable, evidence of previous visa refusal Etc.... 2 Likes |

sokoto: The question now is, if you're going for Feb 2018 intake, how soon can the grant be issued? The problem here is not tying down your funds but wasting months of your precious life waiting for something that you are not even sure of getting. It would be much better if the embassy can give you grant now and inform you that you cannot enter until 3 months to resumption. This will give you enough time to do some short term certifications, acquire skills, plan your trip etc... Compare this first scenario to waiting till November/December/January only to get refused. This VO/CO need to understand that time is ticking and people are ageing and some courses especially engineering becomes more difficult when you have gotten to a certain age. 3 Likes |

And that was how today ended without update from DIBP. At this point i'm considering applying for a Tier 4 study visa cos I have offers from two schools to study in the U.K. I wasted 12 months of my life last year because I was refused Canadian study permit. The thought of deferring to February drives me nuts cos i would have to waste additional 6 months. |
