Good morning my people

And Finally, on November 9, 2017 . . . I got a Student Visa Denied Decision Letter via mail. The reasons were stressed in the paragraphs below:

"while you have personal ties in Nigeria in the form of your immediate family, I find that these ties do not, of themselves, constitute a strong incentive to return home when considered against the fact that you are single and lacking strong employment or economic circumstances in Nigeria."

“I find that the course you are seeking to undertake seems inconsistent with your previous academics, but consistent with your employment background. However, as we cannot verify the existence of your employer and employment, I am unable to ascertain your position and cannot determine whether your intended studies will be of benefit to your future employment.

OMG I felt like crying when I saw the denial reasons. I lack the words to express how bad I feel right now.

It is well my gee.

Quick question homies. Ionno where my birth certificate is anymore but I have just the baptismal certificate. Is there anyhow to get another birth cert? Also who knows where now can notarize documents in owerri?

Good day. Go to a court with an older relative and get a court declaration of age.

With the above, go to National Population Commission and get an attestation of birth or birth certificate. Whichever you are issued is widely accepted.

There is no one size fit all.
The embassy requires that you have prove of about 19800 AUD.

But you definitely don't spend that at once.
Maybe at least three months house rent including the bond and some other stuff to help you settle down. Perhaps 5000 AUD for the first 3/5 months

Is this bond payment applicable everywhere?

Hello Everyone,
My fiancee has a B.Sc in Microbiology with 4.3 as graduating grade and she currently serving now we are planning to get married by June and then move to Australia by applying for a Masters Degree Course for her from Nigeria. So i will be very glad if anybody can help me with the following questions:

1. What are the Master's Degree courses she can apply for considering she studied Microbiology?

2. Which are the universities you would advice will try?

3. if given admission, like how much do i have to have in my bank account before she can apply for visa considering the fact i will be going with her?

Finally, whats our chance of achieving this?

Thank you all

1. Since she's a fresh graduate without work experience, it is advisable she applies for courses related to microbiology. I would recommend you check the skill list for occupations related to this field.

2. We have been advised to apply to schools in major cities because there are more job opportunities in those areas. You will also benefit from this considering you would be going with wifey.

3. I don't know how financially buoyant you are but my guess is that you have a job or a biz in Nigeria. So I would suggest you let her apply first then file in an application to join her once her grant is out. Doing a joint application will require you to provide proof of adequate funds to cover for your trip, tuition, OSHC and couples living expenses which is quite a lot.

My one cent. I'm not a guru but this is just my humble opinion.

You have to bargain oh. They might tell you 25k but offer 5k. Tell them you are a student, worst case scenario pay 7k.

The sponsor is your mother is very good

The bank statement that shows the 5m, what is the three month history like ? Did she just deposit the 5m ? Or she has been maintaining the balance since the last three month ?

It will be better if you change the USD to naira to boost the balance to 9m. With 9m you can use her for both school and visa.

Also the source of her income and evidences important.

It is better you make your application simple and straightforward for the case officer

There's no point changing the dolls to naira. Print out the SOA for all her accounts, notarize and submit. The moment the 13k dolls is converted to naira and paid into her naira account makes that deposit a money lodgement. Just last June, a fellow I know, submitted his Father's SOA with a closing balance of N2.9m for visa application. The lucky lad got his grant two weeks later. As long as the inflow and outflow of your mum's account is good, you are good to go.

Ogaaaa, I dis agree with you oo, which kind January, is Australia the only country with benefits?, the earlier you know your application status, the better for you as there are other opportunities out there, as far as ones application has passed the normal processing time and it is less than for months to resumption, then we have every right to know what's going on with our application. The earlier the better u know hw far, so that sme1 can pursue other things.

I completely agree with you. Applicants who applied as far back as May/June should either call or write them as from next month. I don't see this as pressuring them to finalize an application but just a reminder that the application is far beyond the processing time. My application is 160 days long. Haba nah. If I had invested the A$7,500 paid on tuition & OSHC on TBills, by now I would be 20% of that sum richer. . The truth is the earlier we know our fate, the better. We need time to prepare for the trip and settle in properly before commencement of studies. One needs time to adapt to a new environment, people, culture, food .. etc before school starts. Abeg oh man need start school with clear head.

I applied online for the student visa on the 31st of July 2017,  from Nigeria,my school will be resuming on the 2nd of October 2017. From the day of application I have not gotten any update from the embassy, I just sent the embassy a mail ..wat should I do my brothers and sisters thanks

Buy plenty of chill pills. But while waiting, get your stuffs ready in case the grant comes in late. If it doesn't, defer to Feb 2018. There's really nothing you can do to facilitate the visa assessment.

Hello all, can I use soa from a company account for visa? Is it eligible?

Sure you can. Submit all relevant CAC documents that shows your sponsor as the Director/CEO of the company. Also your sponsor has to clearly state the nature of his biz on his sponsorship letter. This will clear the air on his source of funds.

my sponsor is sent a 15m acct to get the coe

For visa application, your sponsor needs to show evidence of income. In this case, he needs to provide employment letter, pay slip and SOA. Like I said, monthly income of 200k is not enough to make him a sponsor.

the problem is not d sponsorship d agent said cos my agent is earning 200k dat y he cant submit

Red flag.

I read somewhere that a sponsor needs to have a minimum annual income of A$60,000. N200,000/month is just N2.4m/annum.

Hello gurus in the house. i will need clarity on required documents aside my SOA cos i will be sponsoring my self in school.. your sincere response will be highly appreciated.

You will have to provide documents that will clarify your source of funds. If you are an employee, you have to provide your employment letter, pay slip, salary SOA, if possible letter of introduction from work place and a letter from them stating you would return to work after your studies. The latter will serve as a home ties.
Other docs to be submitted;
*School docs (waec, transcript, degree certificate,
*Birth certificate
*COE
*OSHC
*Parents Pp data page
*Personal statement
*If applicable, evidence of previous visa refusal
Etc....

Pls good people my school ask me to differ till next yr I then decided to inform embassy of the new development they now say I should get the new COE date and upload in my immi Account , Abey people should i just work away (withdraw) cos leaving my hard earned money till next yt Feb when I know it can do a lot in my life or I go with what the embassy said.

The question now is, if you're going for Feb 2018 intake, how soon can the grant be issued? The problem here is not tying down your funds but wasting months of your precious life waiting for something that you are not even sure of getting. It would be much better if the embassy can give you grant now and inform you that you cannot enter until 3 months to resumption. This will give you enough time to do some short term certifications, acquire skills, plan your trip etc... Compare this first scenario to waiting till November/December/January only to get refused. This VO/CO need to understand that time is ticking and people are ageing and some courses especially engineering becomes more difficult when you have gotten to a certain age.

And that was how today ended without update from DIBP. At this point i'm considering applying for a Tier 4 study visa cos I have offers from two schools to study in the U.K. I wasted 12 months of my life last year because I was refused Canadian study permit. The thought of deferring to February drives me nuts cos i would have to waste additional 6 months.
