Hello everyone,

Congrats to everyone who have received grants in the past few days. I pray we'll get more testimonies in Jesus name. I've been an observer for the past 3wks. I also applied as detailed below:
Application date: 25th of May
Biometrics : 26th of May
Medicals: 24th of May.
School: University of Tasmania.
Orientation date: 10th of July
Course start date: 17th of July

I haven't been contacted by any case officer and when I sent an update mail to dibp yesterday, they responded saying "the application is still on queue yet to be processed".
Please what happens if I don't receive a response before the resumption day? Also, has anyone hrd of an soa of 9m fly?

Yes, someone here submitted an SOA of less than 5m naira last month and got his grant. If you must use this, make sure the cash flow is fantastic.

Please what letter did you send to them to explain your Canadian visa refusal?

Secondly, were you asked to show proof of relationship with your brother?

I was contacted last month ending to provide the items listed above and sponsors SOA.

No response from DIBP up till now. I applied since May8th, 2017. The wait is giving me sleepless night ooo. Orientation begins July 24th, 2017.

@JewelStone, Sanity100, lusen. Is this nornal? Any word from Aussie regarding this delay? Pls enlighten the house. Thanks

I have noticed that DIBP responds to messages on their facebook page. I think those of us experiencing such delays should write them regarding this. The truth is, traveling to a far continent like Aussie requires weeks of planning and we don't have that at the moment.

Those who have gotten feedback from DIBP should update the house regardless of the outcome.

Hmmmm! Have to take heart anyway! Got my visa rejected with decision from DIBP yesterday. The worst part is I got 3 years ban from applying any visa to Australia. This happens as a result of employment letter which could not be verified. God will grant everyone expecting his/her visa on this platform. I would get immigration lawyer in Aussie so the ban could be waived cos my Aussie partner will be in Naija for marriage so I'll file for spouse visa

Wow bro. This's heartbreaking.

marriage way seems easy but it is the hardest means of staying here , you can't just come in to Australia and marry like that , their immigration policy is too hard , did you even know you can't be on 2 visa at a time , the moment you marry and apply for your spouse visa , you go be on bridging visa which will take months before you go on temporary let's say you lucky becuase they deny spouse visa application more than any other visa based on say no be only black men or Philippina women want paper , even whites won stay here , how den won do am ? MARRIAGE ! I bet with you that if you apply for your partner visa today , they'll deny ; ask me why ? Because it isn't genuine , you gonna have to proof to these people it's not a fake relationship , you go pay lawyer thousands ! Na money you go spend oo ! You go start organising parties , just to take pictures

I know so many people whey been say Oyinbo don almost ruin their life with mortgage ,domestic violence , depression ! Den go slap you and tell you if you mess up you go land for Multala Muhammed Lagos simply because she's helping you to stay here !

Do course that leads to pr , Pay your school fee brother and look for help

Let marriage be your last option and even if you won marry ! Date her for over 1 year ! I get white gfs ; I no need them for Pali , theyll become your boss immediately you need them for paper because you go leave them after 3 years ! But before then they'll make your life Miserable

Well said. A word is enough for the wise.

It's strongly advisable to use close relatives. If u must use anyone other than the aforementioned, the sponsor has to back it up with a strong letter and means any govt means of identification
Avoid the temptation to use a corporate account. It's a red flag.

what if the sponsor and corporate account holder is a brother and he doesn't keep bulk money in his personal account? He pays himself salary from his company's proceeds. The said corporate account has a balance of N24 million at the moment. Are you saying I should not use this??

Its very true, when I applied some few years ago I had about 14million naira in my sponsors account for just 10weeks. That really make it difficult. In fact then anyone can be ur sponsor not necessary having the same surname but now it's change.

My bro is my sponsor and we want to use his cooperate account. He will be giving me his CAC documents which clearly has his name as CEO/director of the company. His transactions in the last 3 months has credit and debit of over N200 million but closing balance is not up to N10m. I hope I won't have issues with such account.
Guru's kindly advise.

Better to be direct with you. Courses not on the SOL list are a no no if you intend to stay back in Australia. Just drop that course and look for another listed course that will enable you get a PR after your studies.

What do you have to say about courses that are not on SOL but on CSOL. I have offer for petroleum engineering. The course is on CSOL. Should I go ahead with the acceptance?

Hi, I got an offer to study Msc. Petroleum Engineering at UNSW for Semester 2. I intend to pay the $6000 tuition and $1338.4 OSHC ($600/year for 2 yrs plus 2 months after studies) before month end.

I would be sponsored by my family. Although I'm also on the lookout for scholarships. Please feel free to help a brother if you have info on any available one.

Secondly, I need any info I can get on visa application ( though I intend to use PFL), fees and settling in Aussie. What is the school like,I hope Aussies are not racists.

Finally what do you think about my course of study.

I will really appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Hello House,

I am new here and would like to get some information regarding school and visa applications. Your assistance will be appreciated. Here are my questions;
1.) Is it late to file in an application for admission for February, 2017?
2.) What is the visa processing time for study visa applications from Nigeria?
3.) What are the common grounds for visa refusal here. Do they allow switching from previous study or occupation to a new field of study?

Please support.

You are required to pay if also you are using third party sponsor.

For third party sponsorship, it is not compulsory that he pays tuition before TRV application. Instead, the sponsor can move the full tuition fee and if possible 10,000 room & board fee into the applicants acc and back this up with a sound SOP.

Pls friends can i make part payment of my tuition fee before visa or i have to pay all

Yes if it is a requirement on your visa LOA. Yes again if your tuition payment deadline falls within the visa processing time and state this clearly on your SOP.

Lots of people here made either first semester or full session tuition payment and were still refused visa. Whereas there are some who didn't pay a dime and got TRV.

your are right

I know of one. Her 3 years Visa to Canada expired last March. Before the visa that just expired, she has had 1 month and 6 months visas to Canada in addition to UK and US Visas. To sum it up, she has strong ties in Canada. Her elder sister is a permanent resident holder. This lady visited the school while in Canada and got her offer letter in less than a week.

At the end, CIC screwed her badly. They faulted her purpose of visit among others.

I no tell you. I'm very sure in her SOP she stated that she will come back to work in dad's hospital. Hehehehe, they didn't fault her previous studies cos her employment is consistent with intended program of study.

Hello house, pls I need your swift response , am so disturbed since my agent called me dis afternoon that my visa application has been dispatched from the embassy to Nigeria. It was jus last week i was called for medical n a printout of my upfront medical was forward to the embassy. Jus want to know my faith?

Since you were called for medicals, which you completed and sent to them, the probability that it is an approval is very high.
Please collect your package and share the testimony. Congrats in advance.

first of all, advance diploma is out of it. Advance dip is not an academic progression to CIC if you already have BSc,B.Eng,B.Tech.i am not even talking of the course you selected but i just pointed out an obvious reason

You are very wrong my bro. I know Nigerian graduates you applied and got TRV using diploma offer letters. Our gurus in Canada can confirm this.

well. they have new ambassador(female) with less than 10 VO's, over 1,000 applications. thy work like 2/3hrs per day...while they are yet to employ more staff....

Your observation is noted. However that is not enough excuse for the high refusal rates and long processing times. BTW, are you a VO? How did you get this information?? Please if you are one, kindly process my application. grin grin
