Ngenge:He's not talking about hygiene here, that's a totally different thing. He's talking about how much saturated fatty acids the oil contains. Saturated fatty acids will increase the level of bad cholesterol in the body, predisposing people to cardiovascular diseases, like heart attack, heart failure, stroke, etc. Truth is people don't care about their health in Nigeria, as they believe the only thing that kill are malaria and their village people, unlike what's obtainable abroad. Abroad, everyone pays serious attention to every food as regards its cholesterol content, and check their blood parameters regularly. |
This week looks like the beginning of the 1st peak of the COVID19 outbreak in most Nigerian states. Arguably, 1 in 3 patients presenting to clinics, seem like they already have COVID-like symptoms. While up to half are easily suspects. Almost everyone knows someone who has lost their sense of smell or taste or both. This sign is a very good predictor of COVID. A teaching hospital in the southeast is awash with health workers that are positive. Another one lost its provost of the medical college. Another southeastern Teaching hospital tested 51 samples and 19 came back positive. That’s about 37% The same hospital says they are fully booked till Tuesday for testing as we speak. Health workers, if you have not received IPC trainings from your hospital, please go to the WHO website and do the online IPC course. [ https://openwho.org/courses/COVID-19-IPC-EN ] Protect your life. It is too precious for system failures you can’t fix at this time. Nigerians if you don’t already have COVID19, this is a good time to “shelter in place” or Lockdown. Restrict movement to essential duties. Stay safe. Wear your face masks. Avoid unnecessary contact. The “cov craft” has landed and the picture looks just as grim as we’ve seen elsewhere. We discussed with health workers in the private sector this week and their stories are all the same. The cases are everywhere. The demand on hospital resources- exponential. The cost to private health systems enormous, pushing many private hospitals to bankruptcy. The tests are also scarce. The government teams stretched too thin and the response time to rumors taking up to 5 days even with connections. How some persons on the street still act like COVID19 doesn’t exist is probably the most shocking demonstration of craze or ignorance that I’ve ever seen Please whatever you do; Wear that face mask properly. Wash those hands frequently and survive 2020 with your family first, then if you like resume wilding out. Do the right thing today. Take responsibility. This is not about “COVID IS REAL”. It isn’t only real but indeed “COVID IS ESCALATING”. Being real or not is simply an understatement We are in precarious times |
diamondblexx:Chai, you've done the video? How about the audio?? Abeg, they've scammed you, sister! How I wish you used your money on chicken peppersoup. |
infogenerator:That's great. Keep it up. This virus is already here, and it's not a death sentence, except to a few elderly and immunocompromised people, and we must help them. |
Heterodox:Thief! Even Hushpuppi didn't start like this. |
infogenerator:Malaria does not cause sneezing, bros. If you're afraid of the word "coronavirus" just term it flu, as flu can be caused by any of the respiratory viruses other than coronavirus. Tagging it malaria will make you become careless(like sneezing in public as you already did), increasing the chances of spreading it to high risk people whose immunity may not be able to fight it off for. Coronavirus is now widespread, and majority of people are not dying from it. I've had it and still recovered in a space of 1week. Let's stop this "malaria" mentality thing and take all necessary precautions to help curtail this virus. |
holsconcept:How did you know it's "purely malaria"?? To an average Nigerian, every sickness is malaria! This is the mentality that will keep this virus spreading in Nigeria even when other countries with reasonable citizens have succeeded in controlling theirs. HIV was discovered outside Africa, but today, it has become a sub saharan African disease because people like you believe only in malaria, and have refused to take the recommended precautions for other diseases. |
A very senseless write- up! |
ONIYI93:Transportation business with 200,000? Unless you're talking about 'okada' riding |
I thought an inquisitive and sceptical person would have gone through most of this thread to get some basic information before asking for clarifications?? If research is not properly done, new questions wilk always arise and panics will easily set in. |
Who have you been able to finish his CAC reg in 5days? Or you'll convert to the usual Nigerian stories once payment is made? What's the guarantee?? |
SavageResponse:How can such an idiot who believes that "in Europe, Natural Nutrients and Supplements are the treatment of choice in 90 t0 95% of cases of prostate enlargement " be a medical doctor?? So, Europe is now going retrogressive like our forefathers? The guy doesn't realise how much technology those guys churn out every day to solve their problems! |
olakunle5296:This is a stupid question! Do you currently have any cure for covid-19?? How about the high mortality rates being recorded in the US and other developed countries? Are their varoous healthcare systems all equally overrated? When we don't have anything reasonable to post, we should just sleep. |
stacyadams:Yea, 49billion out of the budgeted 50billion |
kapich:It's 49million, already disbursed, not 40million, according to Nairametrics news |
benedictilemona:You should be the one telling him if it's a boil or not, and not the other way round, considering certain features of the swelling like duration, rate of increase, associated pain, redness, etc. As you didn't provide any of this information, you leave rooms for wide guesses. Medical practice is different from witchcraft, as a healthcare provider usually needs information to work with. |
Are they now opting for a WhatsApp group where they would be secretly discussing how to evade paying the loan? An average Nigerian has a fraudulent mind and can do anything to avoid paying money borrowed. Sometimes ago, I took over 3years to recover about 400,000 i lent to a very good friend, despite having a duly signed and witnessed agreement, plus a dud cheque in my possession. And I spent almost that same amount in police and court to be able to do so. And such cases are littered everywhere across the country. I hope this loan and how it's handled will not set a bad precedent for future overtures from the government, banks and other financial institutions? |
Hammer2019:Most of them actually think it's a gift, and ofcourse, have no plans to pay back. |
Greenvaiper:Easy on him, bros. Lots of us have also benefited from his wealth of investment knowledge in those other areas you listed. Remember "old people" do not generally have such a high risk appetite as the young ones, but may still be right in their chosen direction. |
aremso:It seems the guy has been severely burnt and scarred in the past, just like most of us. But he should move on, as such is the journey of man on earth. A man should keep moving no matter how many times he falls. |
ephraimsobe:Hmmm, even this outrageous 15% per month is not enough for you? |
Does this device test all the components of lipid profile(TC, TG, HDL, LDL)? If so, does it use one strip for all, or you need one strip for each component? |
tot:Don't mind them. Some of them are just kids who have no responsibilities yet, and are still fully dependent on their parents/relatives. Life is not just all about getting a salary and saving all of it at the end of the month. |
mrsteel:Good question! People do not research on what they hear in Nigeria. They just believe and start spreading it. |
Cryomancer:Bros, their minimum amount is 360,000 naira, and it's not negotiable. There's a 100,000; 200,000 category called Tnatel crying daily on Facebook for their money. We don't want that category here, abeg. |
