Real battle in the stock market since Monday between those that want to sell but don't want to regret it. And those who are waiting to buy cheap so they don't regret not buying

General advice is have your own entry plan and exist plan. Market right now is tricky and volatile because of the argument of weather to open up the economy or continue the lockdown and other external issues.
On point!
People like us belong to the first group.
Bought INO at $4.2 then, and sold at $6.5, thinking i had "hammered" only to see it @$14 the next day.
Trying to be very careful now in selling.

So since vaccine is a weakened virus or pathogen it is meant to prevent, why can't they or even you weaken HIV virus and administer it to prevent HIV.
Just curious.
One of the problems is the very high mutation rate of the virus.
Vaccines take years, under normal circumstances, to be prepared, and the viral genome being targeted by the vaccine could change(mutate) far before the vaccine is ready.

Vaccines are drugs, not medicines
It's not true.

The word "drug", "medicine", "medication" are the same(synonymous), and are used interchangeably.

Vaccines are drugs/medicines/medications, but are under the Biopharmaceutical class of drugs/medicines/medications.

HealthRe: Covid 19 - The Difference Between Medication And Vaccination by ChybuzzDD(m): 1:38pm On May 12, 2020
You did well.
But remember vaccines are also drugs/medications.
You were using "vaccines" as though they're not drugs or medications.
Drugs or medications are defined as pharmacological agents that can be used to diagnose, cure, treat or prevent a disease condition.
So, a vaccine is a type of drug used to prevent a disease.
Now, your heading should read:

"The Difference Between Therapeutic(curative) Drugs And Preventive Drugs(Vaccines)".

Kudos, once again.

Bla bla de bla bla bla. I'm a healthcare professional in the US. I am not going to visit any archaic FMC website to look at outdated medical information.

I actually know what I'm talking about.
You're a healthcare professional in the US?? Misrepresenting hardworking and intelligent Nigerian healthcare professionals in the diaspora?
And you're asking a patient to take Vancomycin on his own?
Is vancomycin an over-the-counter drug in the USA or anywhere else in the world?
Do patients treat themselves in the US?
Btw, which disease is called "Staphylococcus aureus" that you're treating and prescribing vancomycin for??
Do the things he described as symptoms strike you in any way as being caused by staph aureus??
Well, a healthcare professional doesn't necessarily mean a medical doctor. You could be a pharmacist, anyway.
Staph aureus does not cause the symptoms people wrongly attribute to it.
That diagnosis of 'staphylococcus aureus" is a scam being perpetrated by Nigerian Herbalists and quacks just to defraud ignorant and unsuspecting Nigerians.
The OP's real medical condition hasn't really been accurately diagnosed, just like many other Nigerians hiding under malaria, typhoid and this same staphylococcus aureus.
I think it's very unprofessional accepting his wrong diagnosis, and making prescriptions based on it.
The best advice should be for him to visit a hospital for proper diagnosis, and then, appropriate treatment and recommendations can come in.

It's a cycle

We have the after market, pre market and Market

Each starts from where the other one stops at.

Example for your novavax, it ended at 25 dollars, the after market will start from 25 dollars, I see it's currently at 35 dollars, if it ends at the that, the pre market will start at 35 dollars. Let's assume it goes up to 40 dollars, the main stock market will start at 40 dollars

For you, as the Market open at 40 dollars, your gain will jump by 60%. Can go up or come down

Transactions go on during those period but have limited liquidity. The main market is where bulk of money is.

Just note that because a surge in the after market and pre market is no guarantee there will be a surge when the market opens..

Hope you get explanation
That's cool.
Thank you
InvestmentRe: Us Stocks Pick Alert by ChybuzzDD(m): 10:06pm On May 11, 2020
Abeg, what does it really mean when a stock is gaining or losing during the "after hours" period?
Do transactions really go on during such period?
How is it different from the "pre-market" period?

NOVAVAX has been surging after their earning conference this evening in the "after-hours" period, and I don't know if that will reflect on the stock when the market opens again tomorrow.

At the bolded I beg to differ. Blood and stool culture is done in naija. Even mushroom labs do it, just that majority of Nigerians even some health professionals will do just one widal test and say you have typhoid.

Then some of my colleagues look at what patients can afford and write for them. Many people cant afford 3.5k or more to do stool culture, so they do widal which is just 1.5k or less.
Nna, I've never heard of anyone requesting for blood/stool/urine culture for Salmonella typhi in Nigeria.
I wasn't referring to cultures in general for other organisms/diagnoses, but for Typhoid/Enteric fever in particular.
That's very very rare.
They rely on a single Widal test, which will show a "significant titre" even for me that haven't been around for some years.
This has been made worse by the roadside laboratories that have started reporting their own "significant titres" even from 1/80, instead of the >1/160 we were taught in schools.

No, although in her dead bed she developed virginal cancer
That's it. Vaginal(or most probably cervical cancer) was the culprit here, and not malaria and typhoid.
This was the point I have been trying to raise.
The emphasis on malaria and typhoid by both patients and healthcare professionals in Nigeria is causing a lot of harm.
I lost a very good friend last year who spent months treating malaria and typhoid, while what he actually had was leukaemia. By the time leukaemia was diagnosed, it was already very late.
The worse is that I heard that most Nigerian patients now go to the hospitals when sick and asked to be treated for malaria and typhoid, without giving the healthcare personnel the freedom to evaluate and make their own diagnosis.
I wish such ugly trends should change, as they lead to misdiagnosis, wrong treatment, delayed diagnosis and poor outcomes.
Once again, I wish your mom everlasting peace in eternity.

People are less passionate this days, how could ppl go as far as insinuating that due poor choice decision on my part I contributed to her death. We were constrained financially as a result of we weren't able to get admitted into a good hospital.
I'm a health expert to know if typhoid was a mild or killer disease.
Sorry, about that.
The main problem that led to the self diagnosis and treatment, and then late presentation to hospital was financial constraints.
It's good this finally came out, though I had to force it out from you.
From my experience while working in Nigeria, I know to a very reasonable extent that patients and relatives don't always say things the way they really are.
I can also swear that your mom didn't die of typhoid and malaria.
I know how many people that have died with their problems undiagnosed as a result of this malaria and typhoid stuff.
Your mom lives in a better world wherever she is.

She had typhoid and have been managing it for years, if you have nothing reasonable to say why not shut your pile hole up and keep your leprosious comment to cry yourself.
Shut up, my friend and learn!
Your mother didn't have any typhoid she was managing for years.
Those who carry typhoid for years are asymptomatic(they're called chronic carriers, and have no symptoms).
Besides, typhoid is not even that common in Nigeria.
Roadside labs deceived you with their usual ''significant titres'' after a Widal test.
Did you do a blood or urine culture to confirm she had typhoid?
Typhoid diagnosis is a scam in Nigeria. The true incidence is very very low, and the confirmatory test is with blood/urine culture, which no lab does in Nigeria.

You contributed to the negligence via self diagnosis and wrong treatment with your over-the-counter drugs.
Learn not to do the same with your wife in order not to get the same result.
HealthRe: How Amaku General Hospital Akwa's Attendants Sent My Mum To Her Early Grave by ChybuzzDD(m): 10:31am On May 11, 2020
Bros, you too, failed her.
Which complications of typhoid and malaria did she have, and had been having for years??
Why is every sickness interpreted as typhoid and malaria in Nigeria??
And you were buying drugs from the pharmacy to treat those so-called, self-diagnosed complications of typhoid and malaria, instead of going to the hospital for early and proper diagnosis and care.
You only went to the hospital when her condition had already became critical and probably irreversible, and then, expected a miracle to happen.
That's the usual trend in Nigeria.
Bros, the negligence, misdiagnosis, and wrong treatment started from you. There's no complications of malaria and typhoid one could suffer for years, especially in this era of bountiful antibiotics and antimalarials.
Your mother was most probably never correctly diagnosed till her death, and you contributed significantly to that.
Let us always play our own roles properly first, before expecting others to do same to theirs.
May her gentle soul continue to rest peacefully in the Lord.

This God you are just too good*
Why is it that in Nigeria, when people do well in the hospital, they attribute the success completely to God, but when things go wrong, they completely blame the health workers??
Was it God that did the surgery?
If so, who do those that go wrong?
It's not like this abroad, and I think Nigerians should learn to be grateful to people who care for them when they're sick.
And if they should praise God for a successful recovery, they should also blame Him for those that go wrong or end in death.

I hope when you finally see it, you won't be selling it to unsuspecting Nigerians claiming it cures every disease in the world?
That's the plant China discovered and extracted Artemisinin from some decades ago.
Artemisinin is currently the standard drug for malaria treatment in the form of ACT(Artemisinin Combination Therapy), contained in Coartem, Lornat Ds, Artesunste, E mal, etc.
The plant is predominant in China, and was actually exported from there to Madagascar and some other countries in the past.
Problem is when it gets into Nigerian hands, it will not only cure malaria, but it will immediately acquire the "superpower" ability to heal all diseases, including HIV.
