Spartancosta:If it's really bony, the X Ray would capture it. For a bony swelling, you don't need an MRI. If the X Ray is not helpful, the next should be a CT scan. Can you send a picture of the swelling and the X Ray here? |
Dyoungstar:Check my profile, please |
Dyoungstar:Send a mail, please |
hopeforcharles:Yes, the size matters. Let him use it for the next 6 months, let's see how it goes. |
hopeforcharles:Remember what he has is called a papilloma, with a significant size, and not a mole. I always advise on getting the diagnosis right before recommending treatments. Your collomak cream, which contains Salicylic acid(a keratolytic agent), won't be able to handle a growth of that magnitude. I have once used it on an Indian patient in UAE with a Corn, but after 6months, he had to come back to beg for surgery. It's only suitable for tiny warts, corns or very small papillomas. |
hopeforcharles:Funny guy. It's because while being trained in surgery, I realized it's the only perfect way of handling surgical conditions. It thought me that medical conditions should be handled medically, while surgical ones should be handled surgically. Any cream(eg podophylline) that can burn off that growth will eventually leave a mark there, while a perfectly performed surgery will only leave a tiny line of scar that will fade with the passage of time. Once something is in the face, it's no longer a "little issue" as you described because of cosmetic/aesthetic reasons. |
phidipe:There's no other method that can effectively remove that without leaving an obvious mark, or a telltale sign of it, except surgery. But why do Nigerians fear surgery so much, even when it's so cheap there compared to other countries? |
Why do Nigerians like using the words "mystery" and "mysterious", even for things that are obvious and can be easily unravelled even by anyone with half a brain? Everything is mysterious to us! That smacks of a terrible laziness in researching and information gathering. The other day, it was "mystery" deaths in kano and jigawa, even at a time covid-19 is ravaging the world. Now, it's "mysterious" new cases of covid-19 in China, even when the Chinese authorities stated clearly where the new cases are coming from. Maybe, people should go back to school to re-learn the actual meanings of "mystery" and "mysterious". |
The Right leg wound you posted above already has an exposed bone(tibia) on its floor, and won't be healing on it's own, no matter what those illiterate Herbalists do for it. Such wounds require professional care by a specialist, who would debride or decoticate those exposed, desiccated bone, and cover it with a flap, or apply a Negative Pressure Wound Therapy to cause it fill up with healthy, granulation tissues before eventually covering it with a skin graft. The consequences of living such wounds to persist include transformation in a cancer(malignant transformation), bone infection(chronic osteomyelitis), limb deformity, fractures, etc. |
This is not a hospital thing
Op, you're doing well! This one above is one of the idiots deceiving those poor people in our villages. As you rightly said, most of them have diabetes, and do not know their status, while some have other causes like Buruli ulcer, infected, poorly treated post traumatic ulcers, etc. A research done in one of the tertiary centres in the South East during my postgraduate training shows that the commonest cause of chronic, non-healing wounds in Nigeria is post-traumatic wounds, followed by Diabetes, and then skin cancers. Unfortunately, idiots like this one above will always mislead them into believing its caused by poison orchestrated by their neighbours/relatives, and eventually channel them into patronizing Herbalists, who will finally make the conditions worse. There's no such stupid thing as "acha ere" or a wound being caused by poison. Why would someone who wants to kill you, and believes he has the capacity to do so, decides to waste his time giving you a wound instead of killing you outrightly?? Again, the incidence of chronic wounds is higher in amongst the poor, socio-economically lower people. Now, why would someone spend his hard earned money trying to kill a poor, unimportant man/woman?? Dem no see Atiku, Buhari, Obasanjo, Rochas, Oshiomole, Femi, etc, kill ![]() |
millennium2012:I keyed in yesterday @126. Just hoping for it to get to 135 today so I can sell. #Daytrading |
Phraences:With Trove, you simply type in the total amount in dollars you intend to trade with, and the system will take care of the corresponding number of shares to that amount. |
Oluwainnie:Stc30 and Longrich cream sellers are the current scammers in town. Their products can heal every sickness in the world! |
Some gullible people here will accept and swallow that trash from her |
OakPearl:Exactly. Except Gilead that has sworn not to move. I might dump it at a loss today to jump into other profitable ones. |
Moderna's vaccine has just been reported to show some positive results on their phase 1 study, with the stock surging in premarket. Looks like a good buy today. |
arduino:I use Yahoo Finance App. You can download it. |
Check out Clovis Oncology(CLVS). It's making some premarket moves. The FDA approved their drug, Rubraca/Rucaparib on friday for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer in certain patients. Who knows how far it can go? |
Atomemmy:Hope you read that "she spent years going through series of surgeries..."? As for Nigeria, no one is actually "spending years laying series of foundations" for the country's growth. Kindly cut down on your expectations before you get heart attack, as no one reaps without sowing. |
Have you done a HIV test?? |
Inehmesit:No, I don't use it |
So, what steps have you taken so far before reaching this decision that It could "cure' Covid-19? In your labs, how many people did you test it on before coming public. What's the active ingredient in your herb that's responsible for this "curing" property against the virus? Stages of drug production include identifying and isolating an active ingredient that's assumed to work against a particular microbe, then testing it on cells outside the body(in vitro testing), then on animals, before finally starting a series of tests on humans(clinical trials) to establish the efficacy and safety. I hope you've already undertaken the most crucial aspects of these stages before confidently announcing the efficacy of your discovery? It's because most people don't understand all these things that NCDC, NAFDAC see them as mad people and rightly ignore them, as drug production for humans is not the same as moi moi production for the same humans. Kindly update us on what you've done so far, and what's left, so we can help push it. Please be as scientific as possible, because both the human body and the virus are scientifically wired. Don't tell us you just got some leaves, boil them, etc, and just believe it can kill the virus while in the human cells(lots of things, eg alcohol, acid, fire/heat, etc, can kill the virus outside the body/cells, but not while in the body). |
drskyfly007:Exactly! Not on Trove too. Very disappointing for daytraders like us. |
This idiot has been thoroughly and deservedly condemned by everyone who has commented so far. There's nothing else left for elders like us to say. Kudos to all who commented, and rightly performed the work of the elders. Good night, idiot! I pray your brain resets on waking up tomorrow morning. |
ajenimuni:The only luck you guys have in Nigeria is that, due to the widespread ignorance amongst the populace, when you damage their kidneys with these poisons you sell, they end up blaming it on their innocent relatives in the village as spiritual attacks, instead of taking your asses to court. In a sane society, before you sell anything to the people, you must know what chemical /active ingredients are contained in it, it's safety, efficacy and appropriate dosage. But in Nigeria, where animals live, these things don't matter. It's all about guesswork: take 2 shots in the morning, afternoon and night! What quantity of the active ingredient(you don't even know the active ingredient) is contained in your 1 or 2shots, Mr Herbalist?? I hope you know kidney is expensive?? |
subbylee:You didn't state your location. Yes, there's in portharcourt. |
somehelpington:I'm a Plastic Surgeon, and from the picture I've seen, this shouldn't be too much of a worry to you, considering it's small extent, height, location, and the fact you're a man, unless you now have acquired enough money to spend. It's more of what we call Hypertrophic scar than a Keloid(keloids would never stop growing, and would have personal and family histories). Being a Hypertrophic scar, it will slightly flatten out with time. But if you must remove it, then, a Pladtic Surgeon will know better how to go about it. Steroid injections, creams, etc, become less effective as scars become older. The best result would have been achieved at the earlier stage they started you on that injection (probably Kenalog). |
Felyyaks:Anti tetanus injection(TT) wouldn't have prevented the wound infection. TT only prevent infection by tetanus, and not by other bacteria(Clostridium tetani, which is responsible for tetanus, doesn't cause wound infection). Most wound infections are caused by the normal skin flora, like Staph and Strep species, before being joined by Pseudomonas and others. Proper wound care plus/minus appropriate antibiotics(which you can't get from a "Chemist" shop) is what would have prevented the wound infection and excessive scar formation. Most times, we Nigerians incur more expenses while trying to preserve it. |
Is it not easier to plead for a doctor who can help you(on humanitarian grounds) do the surgery by accepting the little you have than requesting for 50,000 at this period most people are not financially buoyant? I have some Gynaecologist friends in portharcourt who can agree to do it at that amount you have been able to raise just on humanitarian grounds, if I plead with them(usually they charge between 500,000 to 1million, depending on the client,etc.....which is still cheap compared to abroad). But you'll have to first do an abdominopelvic ultrasound(if you haven't already done so) to confirm the diagnosis, as well as do a few other basic tests to assess her fitness for surgery. |
