Which lockdown did you survive? The one you trooped out en mass to the banks just after 2 weeks of poorly enforced lockdown?? |
I still want to know what that large crowd went to the bank to do! Do they have a meeting with the bank officials?? Please, don't tell me they went to withdraw money, because the ATMs have been functioning all this while. Don't tell me, also, they don't have ATM cards! That'll be outlandish and preposterous! Now, gentleman, tell me what they actually wanted. |
mfm04622:Exactly. The person quoted may either not be a medical doctor or was wrongly quoted. There's no medical sense in his statements |
Angelfrost:Death and starvation from where?? You guys should stop using hunger to justify this unruly, careless and irresponsible behaviour. Hunger can't just kill people like that in a 21st century Nigeria! Is there war going on in Nigeria? Do you know how long a human can go without food before dying from starvation?? Some people have experimented going without food for 70 days without dying. You guys should go home and be responsible. Covid 19 kills far more and faster than this frequently quoted hunger & starvation. |
What are people flocking into the banks to do in this 21st century?? |
How did you conclude it was just flu, and not covid 19?? Hope you know loss of taste and smell are also parts of the symptoms of covid 19?? That fact you've recovered doesn't eliminate the possibility of it being coronavirus, and if it is, you can still spread it to close relatives and friends, despite being asymptomatic. Best thing will be to contact NCDC for testing. |
Horus:It's because Nigerian politicians are a fight; they're a war; and they're indabosky pahose! Abeg, just pray first for the vaccine to come out. Many of us are ready to take it, so that we'll be boldly walking around like the 'liquid metal' himself, the indabosky pahose. |
Horus:The vaccine that you haven't seen and may never see? When the vaccine comes out, do you know how many years it will take to produce enough that can get to Africa and Nigeria? Rich countries in north America, Europe, Australia, and Asia will first secure enough for billions of their citizens, before it can get to the poor African countries. Even Trump is ready to buy for America's unborn generations. I think it's joblessness that's making some lazy Nigerians throw conspiracy theories and propaganda up and down. |
Pentasoft1978:That's the frustration and anger that have been making you and your likes trying to make money at all costs without putting quality and safety into consideration. At the end, you kill more people than the same government you hate. I have seen lots of Ampiclox capsules you and your criminal friends filled with dried/powdered MILK, and sell to innocent, unsuspecting Nigerians as the original drug. Most of the drugs in the Nigerian markets are fake, courtesy of you and your make-money-quick kind of friends. Here abroad, when you take ordinary Paracetamol, your whole body will confirm it, because it's original, but it's a different case in Nigeria. To you, it's all about the money; life doesn't matter. But no wahala, the spirits of those you've killed will take their revenge on you and all your criminal co-workers sooner than later. |
Eulalia:Excellent |
Pentasoft1978:This is exactly how you selfish, money-conscious Nigerians think. You don't think about the quality, efficacy and safety of what you're producing for the people; it's all about the profits you'll make from it. Do you think masks produced by well-guided, government approved, tailors would be the same as those produced by medically-ignorant roadside tailors? Do those roadside tailors know that a mask should have 3layers, with the middle one being a filter, usually made from a different material with smaller pores? Do they even know there's something called a 'filter' in a mask?? |
blowjohn:What do you refer to as 'antiviral'?? |
Such kangaroo laws/acts won't work effectively because hospitals(esp privates) are not meant to be humanitarian houses, but private business premises(medicine is business everywhere in the world). They do not receive any grants or subsidy, let alone tax exemptions from the government. Also, the government does not help them recover their bills from the many wicked, ungrateful Nigerian patients when they default. Healthcare all over the world is expensive, and privately run hospitals do not owe anyone any free treatment. The government should provide insurance to its citizens and make it very easy for all hospitals, including the private ones(where majority of the people are attended to) to key into it. Law or no law, private hospitals will rightly refer any patient who they perceive will have problems paying their bills, and there's no law against referral in medical ethics. A cart set before the horse goes no where. |
[quote author=blowjohn post So why are there anti viral drugs?[/quote]There are antiviral drugs for specifically for a few viruses like HIV, HBV, HCV, Lassa fever, etc, but a lot of other viruses do not have any specific antiviral drug. And there's none yet specifically meant for covid 19. Remdesivir, which is being considered now in the US, was previously meant for Ebola, but it failed. It's difficult to develop effective drugs against viruses. |
Shugargal:I haven't heard/read any news concerning him for some time now. But I'm sure he's still alive, otherwise, we would have seen a 'breaking news' about him, just like we did about Oga Abba Kyari. Sickness can be hidden, but death can't. |
anochuko01:Your write up shows that you've not come to learn much about this virus. Yes, it's very possible to be a carrier for over 39days without manifesting any symptoms. Majority of infected people show either mild or no symptoms. Only few develop severe symptoms or complications. The condition for discharge is that the patient must test negative in at least 2 separate occasions. She's still there because she hasn't tested negative, even in one occasion. She's not the only asymptomatic patient with coronavirus. There's nothing usual or surprising about her case. You guys should stop making unnecessary news out of it. |
edoairways:If she has no symptoms, she doesn't need any drug. And not having symptoms doesn't mean she's free from the virus. The state has every power under the public health emergency Act to keep her until she tests negative, so as to protect others. Tongue wagging cannot change that. She can still transmit the virus even without showing any symptoms. |
alizma:Well written! I don't really know what's wrong with that woman. Unfortunately, most Nigerians behave like her once they set their foot in Nigeria. If she were in the UK, would the UK health minister visit ordinary her? She may even be a Nanny in the UK, but now in Nigeria, she has become a superpower. She hasn't heard that Dybala, the footballer, has remained in the isolation room for over 6weeks because he's still testing positive, and doesn't complain? She will remain there as long as she continues to test positive; whether she has symptoms or not is out of the question. Asymptomatic people are very good transmitter of the virus. |
And even the ones you and your tailor made are also infected with coronavirus by China?? Bros, abeg, the anus is for defecation, and not for reasoning. |
prince985:Who told you there's nothing wrong with them? What's the size of the pores in the masks, and what's the average size in microns of the covid 19/coronavirus? To tell you the truth, Covid 19 will just cat-walk through those wide pores. What material is their filter made of? Standard surgical masks have polypropylene as their filters, so they can't absorb fluids/sweats/saliva, swell and lose their filtering ability. Do you have polyethylene in Aba? Do you think surgical masks can be effectively produced without mixing science and arts together?? Don't just 'loose guard' yourself whenever you wear those local masks. Otherwise, Corona will just use you shine. |

No pics showing the interior? Leather or fabric? |
Do you produce test kits in Nigeria or even have enough money to import from China?? |
It's very shameful that people are very gullible enough to believe this rubbish! Don't education in Nigeria help people again to reason things out sensibly and intelligently? Why's the pen and handwriting used for the 'COVID 19' different from the one used in filling in other information on that receipt(it's even a prescription sheet, and not a receipt)? Couldn't it have been this poster and his collaborators that did this to buttress their longstanding belief that the covid 19 in Nigeria is a scam? PS: Idiot, post the receipt you talked about; this is a prescription sheet, supposedly given by a doctor in the consulting room, and not by a nurse. |
Adarich:In America, they're not mad enough to boldly announce 'cure' with a drug that hasn't been tested. That's not how drugs are discovered. Whom and on how many people has he tested his drugs on before going public? Prof Maurice Iwu did the same, announcing cure far before his drug was tested. Where's his so-called 'cure' now? I know it has been discarded. Most of those announcing 'cure' don't even know much about the virus and how it operates. How can you cure what you don't know anything about? |
Remaboy:There's nothing wrong with people asking for help when they don't have. Find a way to handle it maturely without insulting them, if you don't want to give them. Beggars are better than thieves. |
DanseMacabre:Do they conduct trials in Nigeria before jumping out to announce how they've discovered 'cure' for coronavirus? Check out all the ones that had announced theirs before now, including Prof Maurice Iwu, if you still hear anything about them. There's no where in the world a cure for an illness is announced far before conducting trials for the said drug. That would be pure madness It seems most Nigerians have psychiatric problems. |
GamalNasser:So Artemisinin and Quinine are now antiviral drugs?? I think most Nigerians have psychiatric problems. |
ignis:How did you know they didn't go to her house or call her number before going public?? Even if you were not told, don't you know how Nigerians reason and behave most times? Is her action not a clear reflection of the belief by most Nigerians that the pandemic is a scam, and their general attitude towards believing in propaganda?? To her, government wants to kill her and wipe away her "bright" future. I strongly believe the she has run away and gone offline. |
Remaboy:What in the bush could have killed her instantly without giving her the opportunity to struggle or shout for help?? I hope you won't say snake bite, because snake venoms don't kill in a twinkle of an eye. Before you start judging where the woman should urinate and not, do you know anything about her health history? Do you know urination can trigger off a heart attack on a person with the risk factors, irrespective of whether she urinates in her house or in the bush? . |
It seems so many Nigerians are moving around with myriads of undiagnosed medical problems, some of which may be dire. The expensive nature of the healthcare system(which is applicable worldwide) is heavily implicated in this. Moreover, the out-of- pocket payment system in Nigeria is a huge compounding factor. No country can ever get it right with this kind of system. Health insurance for every citizen is obviously the only way forward. But, then, where's the government? Unfortunately, there's none! |
It seems your cars are taking long to be sold off. Attach the right price when you advertise; that's what attract people. |
