Don't treat your kids' education like a DSTV sub plan.
Insomuch as you're certain that the quality of education matches the sticker price, pony up for it.

Did you attend that kind of school?
Today, aren't you able to do everything those who attended such schools do?
Or do you think you're limited because of a wasteful primary and secondary schools you didn't attend?

Don't encourage unnecessary waste.

Average primary and secondary schools are ok, and won't stop any determined student from achieving his/her life ambitions.

An average of 5k is spent on subscription/utilities per month with 12months in a year depending on individual in this sinking government; data sub, tv sub, electricity sub, airtime sub, gas bill et al...

Data sub: 5k or more depending on individual. There are some users spending heavily on this..
Airtime sub: 5k or more depending on individual
DStv yanga (with reasonable channels) is 4,200
Prepaid Meter recharge: 5k or more depending on individual
Refilling of gas for 6kg is 6k+ depending on individual. There are those with 12kg cylinder...
===> An average of 300,000 is spent on subscription per year..

What about;

Transport
Rent
Groceries and Cloth

This is coming after the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) lifted the ban on digital asset trading like cryptocurrency last month.

The firm is also looking to tap into the diaspora, which currently provides $20 billion in annual remittances, which can be a promising way to invest their money back home.

Nigeria is in the hands of the most brilliant of the most brilliant among us. There is so much policy alignment and I pity anyone doing siddon look now. Massive opportunities are being unlocked! You will lose!!

This is the best time to key into these opportunities. Quit your circle of losers and perpetually toxic people who curse, cyberbully, criminally defame and blame everyone and govt for their being underachievers. Visit NASD website and find how you can open a trading account first thing tomorrow!

This is now regulated and all transactions will be monitored against fraudsters money launderers and unpatriotic elements who turned crypto into ponzi schemes and financial mania.

We don't want the kind of fraudulent scam called crypto being promoted before. Now that it will be regulated and monitored by SEC and CBN, we support it! What we had before was a ponzi and that's why one young guy can stay in Bahamas and steal billions of the hard earned money of people. If govt doesn't regulate it, it's not safe!

God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
Same you that jubillated and sang Buhari's praises when his government banned crypto??

So you have parents who were so awful at raising kids but will use African culture and religion to cover it up

It's now we have internet we are more exposed and we now have awareness

The next generation will be more free
More liberals
More risk takers than the previous generation
Let that freedom also include financial freedom.

I'm not the type that take permission from work
I was at the hospital when my supervisor called me that the manager said I shouldn't bother to come to work again on that day , I thought maybe they wanted me to rest

Lo and behold, I got to work this morning, my boss said I should handover all the companies properties with me that I have been relief of my job.
I pleaded to him but he wouldn't listen to my pleas

Thank God he paid me January salary and gave me 3 rubbers of rice.
But "this morning" is already Wednesday nah.

What happened on Tuesday??

Not some jobless SIMPS like you hovering around Nairaland looking for relationship tales from women to cushion the effect of their failures in life 😆😆
If you think a med practitioner/surgeon practising abroad and doing, in a day, the amount of work lazy people like you do in a month is jobless or not gainfully employed, then you're the illiterate i previously described you as.

Just accept that reading is not in your nature, and don't make case for the rest of Nigerians.

I started reading voraciously as early as in SS1, finishing books as big as Modern Biology, PN Okeke's Physics, Ababio(chemistry), Nelson textbook of physics, etc, multiple times before my WAEC.

So, finishing that little write-up under 2mins, while still multitasking, is nothing to me.

The best option is NO3, monthly with an agreement of how many days he or she must be on site (or his or her representative)

The second best is Milestone eg Foundation to German Floor, Blockwork

The other option you didn't mention is PER VISIT - this is also necessary if you have experience but need specialist occasionally.. Et you need an electrical expert or a structural expert but they're not needed daily on site.

No2 is not good except its a Big Company and there's a lot of legal documents to spell out everything
Alright, thank you

Originalsly:
Did you not read his grandpa lived for 92 years? ... using the herbs he believed in? Sooo many people are diagnosed with prostate cancer very early .... receive the best medical attention and use the prescribed drugs ... but yet die of the same disease by age 65. Same with cancer ... they die even faster. Not saying all pharmaceutical drugs do not improve one's health condition .... but do not condemn the use of herbs because one does not know its properties. That's the line sold by the pharmaceutical giants to lure people away from natural remedies and trap them with their addictive drugs.
You need to first find out the age he was when the cancer was diagnosed before you can pass any objective judgement.

If he was 90 when he developed the cancer, would you still sing praises for the herbs??

As for the raw herbs you guys are taking, that's poisonous and dangerous, and shouldn't be encouraged.

Many natural leaves and roots contain cyanide and other deadly chemicals which are very harmful if taken in large quantities

Until we're able to extract the active ingredients, refine, and package them in a quantifiable/measurable amounts, they won't be fit for consumption.

When you tell people to ''drink 1cup/shot in the morning, 1shot afternoon, and 1shot night'', we need to know the active agent in that 1shot as well as its quantity and safety.
Otherwise, it's just pure poison and i won't encourage anyone to be doing that in the 1st century when our mates in other climes are already going to the moon and outer space.

What's your advice on the best way to pay for project supervisions?

1. In stages/per milestone(eg foundation to DPC, block works to Decking, etc)?
2. As a whole(ie from foundation to end of entire project)?
3. Monthly till project ends?

Don't you know that herbs is better than than the white man's medicine oh come on. Even if I were your grandpa I will believe in herbs more than the scientists you believed in.
Stop this misinformation.

How can raw, unrefined products be better than highly refined ones??

Who told you that the so-called ''white man's medicine''(orthodox medicine) didn't come from herbs?

You guys spew out these things out of sheer ignorance.

When you harvest the raw herbs, how do you remove the harmful substances contained in them?
How do you extract the active ingredient that has the healing property from the rest of the contents?
How do you quantity this active ingredient when you manage to extract it?
If you have no answers to these, just know that what you have been drinking/dishing out to people is poison, and not medicine, and you'll soon shut down your/their kidney(s)

Kenn55:
Why should you let the president off the hook here? The degradation of Nigeria is primarily the fault of the president. To be fair to Tinubu, he wasn't the one that destroyed it as it started before him but he has contributed to bury it.
The major items that controls the health and viability of the country rests on the FG. The president presides over the monetary and fiscal policies which sets the tone for the economy which affects the states. CBN though independent reports to the president. When naira depreciates due to stupid policies that gives rise to inflation, it is not on the governors.

The president controls the police, army, dss and the entire security architecture etc. Not the governors. When farmers can't farm because of the massacre by terrorists in the middle belt which now leads to higher food prices, the fault is more on the president than governors cos governors don't control the armed forces. I can go on and on.

Unfortunately, our structure is the cause of this deep problems. We copied democracy from the west but applied it the wrong way due to greed. If we practiced true federalism then the governors would have more of the blame. Now they are hiding under the FG cos the FG is too powerful.
In the west like Canada and US, each state or province function like an independent country and in charge of its economy. No sharing of money from FG, it is the state that contributes money to the FG. The resources in each state is used for the state so every state is forced to develop it's own unique economy. In Nigeria, the states are useless cos there is oil money to be shared every month.

I'm not saying the governors are doing well, in fact, they are useless but as per your argument, the president shares the biggest blame in the current situation.
God bless you for lecturing that misguided, if not hypocritical, guy.
PoliticsRe: A VERY VERY Wrong Time To Be An Adult In Nigeria by ChybuzzDD(m): 4:46pm On Jan 06, 2024
Goodlyhrt:
I don't agree with the bashing of the state governor to an extent. I mean the blame should be around 60% for the president, 30% for the governor then 10% for the local government.

The way Nigeria is, structurally, means that the state governments are mere 'caretaker' of the land and not the 'landlord'.

A nation where the resources, policy and policing of the whole land is solely controlled by a single head. Added with a very weak political awareness of the citizens calls for a disastrous society we find ourselves.
Don't mind those guys advising people to focus on their governors
They're yoruba APC boys trying to defend their kinsman.
This hypocrisy is one of the reasons the country is not moving forward.
