It in this kind of hospital they sacrifice ones life in place of money. Please let all the necessary bodies swing into punishable action against this hospital and her staff. You didn't read they have been taking care of the woman for 1yr for free, with no one coming to pay her bills? Go and demolish it nah, if you're the one financing the hospital. You selfish folks ignorantly think private hospitals get their running expenses from the moon. We're talking about running private businesses in a country like Nigeria where you can't even access loans easily, and provide electricity, water, security, road, etc by yourself, while paying huge taxes to government agencies. In your own little shop, can you give out your goods free of charge for just one day to prove you have human sympathy?? |

Mayflowa: Why are you blaming genius players in the financial market instead of blaming the unintelligence of FG. To think they don't know how things work and not interested or bothered about knowing is nauseating. The last administration of Emefiele was very wise handling CBN and monetary and fiscal policies. Emefiele says only dollars that must be sent from diaspora to banks in Nigeria and even include N5 per $1 sent bonus. FG didn't want to know any reason behind the policy. Tinubu came and ban the policy. You cannot deal with fintech. The money are sent through our banks that the fintech works with. If FG directs influx to be denominated in dollars alone using bank instruments, we will have all of the $20Billion sent! Exactly. You're upto date Yeye Tinubu and his co workers just came in and yanked the policy off without asking questions. Those incentives were encouraging people to send something to Nigeria then so that their relatives can benefit from the incentives. |
Business › Re: 90% Of 2023 Diaspora Remittances Didn’t Get To Nigeria — Oyedele by ChybuzzDD(m): 6:03am On Jan 19, 2024 |
FreeStuffsNG: "We have spoken to loads of Nigerians almost everywhere, in the US, UK, etc. They told us how they send remittance. They use Apps, and we have tried some of those Apps, they use parallel market rates. So, you take $1,000 in New York, and tap on your phone that you are sending $1,000 to someone, a Fintech, they pay the Naira equivalent in Nigeria without bringing the dollars, unless of course if the source of the money is illicit.”
If the forex doesn't land in Nigeria then it's wrong of World Bank to classify such funds as diaspora remittances. To qualify as diaspora remittances then the fund must leave the foreign country and land in our own financial system. What predominates does not quantify as remittance because the foreign currencies remain in the overseas account of the operators of those apps who mostly open and operate their bank accounts from illicit funds havens like the British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Ireland, Mauritius etc. So while you send $1000 from US, you get paid in naira here but your $1000 lands in a bank account in British Virgin Islands! That's not a diaspora remittance in Nigeria!
Those app platforms are the real wall blocking the remaining 90% of the total diaspora funds from getting into our banking system. If our financial regulatory control laws don't reach those fintechs, our tax laws should. FG must go after them and their collaborators here in Nigeria. May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs! You guys are not reasonable. There were incentives on ground before your m-m ticket holders came in and hastily removed them out of their ingrained stupidity. Before now, banks were paying our relatives #5 for every dollar they were withdrawing from Nigeria, and people were happy to send dollars directly to Nigeria. Nigeria is now facing the consequences of that reckless decision by your clueless m-m leaders to remove those incentives and policies Emefiele put on ground, while you're here blaming the innocent Apps as is typical of you and your folks. |

Brilliant economic analysis by Mr Bismarck Rewane that many will still fail or struggle to comprehend. Smh.
Keep your naira! Naira is currently undervalued. If you exchange your naira for a USD, you are actually exchanging your wealth for poverty by overpaying for the overvalued US dollar.
Expect a boon in the economy and a massive leap in our national aggregate output. Subsidy removal alone will fetch us about N4 Trillion while free float of the naira fetches Nigeria another N4 trillion, this total N8 trillion would have been converted to US dollars and exported overseas but for the brilliant and patriotic leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. DaddyRochie1642: It's over one year I lost my mother to stage 4 breast cancer, the breast cancer was not detected early,
- I remember that day very clearly like it was yesterday, - It was on a Sunday morning, she was responsive their on her hospital bed, she was even smiling with the doctor attending to her, - I was there, my younger brother was there, my older cousin was there, we were there by her side, the doctor attending to her left, - Few minutes after the doctor left, mummy closed her eyes, - We immediately rushed and called the doctors to the situation, the brought their machine for CPR, the machine couldn't detect her pulse/vitals, - She was pronounced dead after several efforts. - I couldn't believe I just saw mummy die before my eyes, - My younger brother went nuts right there in the hospital, my older cousin shed tears, his eyes were red, I was too shocked, I just sat down beside her body and held her hand for over an hour, she was 52years old. - This memory plays in my head each day.
- My younger brother was never himself After mummy's passing, - He developed some kind of mental health issues, it was so bad for him, - My younger brother became a complete shadow of himself, this is someone that is full of Life and energy when mummy was alive. - Doctor said it was schizophrenia which was triggered due to the loss of a loved one as he was very close to her.
- With combined efforts, my younger brother slowly overcame the mental health issue, - Each time I look at him, I'm so glad we rallied around for him, I am so glad I played my role and stood by him at that low point in his life, I'm filled with happiness each time I see him.
- Witnessing a loved one die in your presence is a scar for life, it can damage a person for Life. You can share your experience if you wish, it is not an easy thing to talk about. May her soul RIP |

Now that she's here she decided she would go to human rights for protection prior to the fact that the man wants her dead and she's the one foreseeing the house financial expenses, and he's violent towards her if you always follow my posts.
We got there and was delayed for about 30 mins reason was the officer was shaving his beards outside, later on when she mentioned he's a soldier, they started saying can I even be able to care for her and the two kids,I should send her to the village for the issue to be resolved, they even asked me to pay 10k so they will write something just incase he comes to pick them by force. They even asked her if she stole his money before he said he will kill her, that she better just go back and bear the marriage. This are people that are supposed to save lives, discouraging me from even helping her they asked me to say I want to collect salary first before I send her back to the village since she doesn't want to go back to him.
Even upon hearing he molests the kids still yet nothing, this country is a joke like honestly speaking at this stage I don't even know how to begin, and she's constantly living in fear of him. Family › Re: Share Your Scary Village People Experience This Last Xmas Holiday by ChybuzzDD(m): 5:28am On Jan 17, 2024 |
Hugose: So this last Xmas/ new year holiday. A lot of people traveled. I personally don't like traveling to my village because of a number of reasons:
Cost of transportation Work Village expenditures And most of all village people.
I thought by now, some of this village people bad news would have ended since we are in a new age and time where the internet has made the entire planet....one small village.
But a colleague of mine who went to the village this Xmas for her sister's wedding came back to tell us a tale that sounded very weird.
She said one of her sisters was having a constant dream of a woman trying to do something mischievous.
In the dream, this woman was trying to fight her way past her to get in touch with the bride. She said it has to be the bride and that she wants to give her something.
The lady (my colleague's sister) was refusing to let her through and it resulted in a kind of tussle in the dream that led to her having neck pain in real life.
Mind you. She has never seen this woman in her life.
Now, on the wedding day, this my colleague and her sisters including the one who was having the dream were just enjoying themselves.
So while friends and family were spraying cash and having a good time.
The mom of my colleague asked her to go and pick the cash and she should take the ones that were already picked by someone whom she asked to help her pick because this colleague of mine was nowhere to be found at the time.
So this colleague picks the ones she can and asked the woman who was already picking that she should not worry she can give her the money she has already picked.
The woman was hesitant and asked her angrily For what?
So my colleague was explaining that she is the sister of the bride and that her mom asked her to take the cash from her. The woman refused.
So my colleague tapped her mom to explain the situation and her mom told the woman it's okay to leave the money with my colleague.
The woman left it for her in anger and was about walking away when the sister who had the dream saw the woman and recognized her from her dream.
Na so fear catch everybody. And their mom said the woman was actually the wife of their father's friend who based there in the village.
This same woman attended the Thanksgiving and at the reception was insistent on seeing the bride one on one to give her a gift
The gift?....a very flat brown envelope.
All the sisters, refused to let her through. Saying Aunty anything you need to tell or give our sister. Give it to us.
The woman became angry and started playing the no respect card. . . . . . I thought this was scary and thought to share with you nairalanders.
Did you experience anything weird or off in your village this last holiday? If so please share. Who's the Mod in charge of this section?? Posts like this that tend to demonize Nigerian/African villages and perpetuate the longstanding and ignorant-based beliefs in non-existent juju powers/spiritual attacks should be promptly deleted. |
