we northerners are very brutal in warfare
angry angry angry angry angry
You northerners are weak when it comes to warfare. We Igbos, Ibibios, and Ijaws already showed you all that 40 years ago. You only war against unarmed innocent people, which is cowardess btw, but when they are armed you are run like sissies.

Omenani:
Let us take a wait and see approach. Right now, I see no implications for Nigeria as of yet, but that can change.

I do not feel that this secession will be peaceful, because oil is present in Southern Sudan and we all know how oil impacts African nations.
Southern sudan will be back by the West. They have accepted africom so it would be a tragedy for northern sudan if they decide to go into war.

May God bless southern sudan with their own country. Nigeria will be next in a few year. Amin.
CultureRe: Igbo People Being 'light', Is It Exaggerated? by chyz(m): 10:24pm On Nov 15, 2010
Omenani:
I do not think it is exaggerated. However, blacks in general have different hues. I have seen many light Igbos and I have seen many dark Igbos. It is in our genome that we possess different colorizations. Let us not forget that we Igbos have high incidences of Albinism as well.

An example I like to use is that my brother is light, my sister is dark, while I am stuck in the middle as it pertains to color. We all come from the same parents.

My family is the same way.

Sahara Reporters (SR) and their inflammatory and inciting titles. How is somebody whose tenure expires tomorrow and whose replacement is announced today can be said to have been removed? And Chyz, why do you swallow inglorious reporters such as SR hook, line and sinker by repeating such an idiotic title from SR?
Just reporting news that's all.

But they are native to Igala, another region of Nigeria, and the journalist so distinguished them from real Abia natives. Cant you see that?
I feel where ur coming from.

If shell records a success in Onicha Uboma, it will create employment opportunities in that community. Now Onicha Uboma does not have a tarred road, I think that will change as the place is unpassable during the rainy season.
Shell is well known around the world for environmental degradation.
PoliticsRe: Igalas Plead For Political Relevance In Abia by chyz(m): 3:53am On Nov 15, 2010
igbobuigbo:
Taking your number one definition, dont you see that the journalist was correct to say Igala indigenes (that is, Nigerians from a particular region of Nigeria namely Igala) living (resident) in Abia?
They are not native to Abia, that is what i am saying so there was no need to have even included "indigenes" in the description.
PoliticsRe: Igalas Plead For Political Relevance In Abia by chyz(m): 3:46am On Nov 15, 2010
igbobuigbo:
What is the definition of indigene again? Now you are getting me confused. Note that indigeneship is a big issue in Nigeria

Onicha Uboma is an autonomous community in Ihitte/Uboma LGA, Etiti, Imo state.
The community is so rich in Agriculture-Palm oil plantations, rice farms, cassava, plantain and lots of fish pond.
It has one of the foremost mission secondary schools in Imo state. Community secondary school Onicha Uboma, Etiti, established in 1962. You can link Onicha Uboma from Owerri-Oninyi (Obowu)-Isinweke-Lowa road.
Also from Aba Branch-Oriagu-Onicha Uboma road.
Or Okigwe-Onicha Uboma road.
None of this roads are tarred.
U really know Igboland like the back of your hand.God Bless. Ok well this is definitely a no,no. Shell has been messing up Oguta. They even have militants there that are like mend. The news have been trying to keep it dormant so that other igbos wont be enticed. So lets not take this finding as just a Nl discussion, what should we do to prevent shell from screwing up this area? How do we kick them out of the exploration? I do plan to make some contacting.

Ezeuche and Chyz:

Looks like both of you have problem with okwu bekee because there is absolutely no error in the statement Igala indigenes resident in Abia. It simply means indigenes of Igala resident in Abia. Self explanatory.
It is like saying Nigerian citizens resident in California, no?
It is incorrect, 1. because Igala or Igalaland is not a country or even separated from Nigeria, 2. because no parts of Igala land is in Abia.

I had my class secondary education there at "community" when Mr. Okere, and then Mr. Ogu were principals.
I hope Shell don't find oil in that beautiful town or any town I know in Nigeria.
Ok so where is Onicha Uboma?

Below is what the first line says. How does that mean they are Igbos?
When he said Igbo BU Igbo, he was referring to your name.

The first line says Igala indigenes resident in Abia. How does that statement mean they are indigenes of Abia?
I think the argument is coming from the typo and bad skills of the writer. It should have said "Igala indigenes resident in Abia".
