jason12345:The nigerian army is not based on regions, remember that. And im still not getting your point of people feeling a sense of security around those groups.isn't security one of the main things we need in nigeria. Also take in mind that the police force would be centralized so that dampens those groups ya know. |
jason12345:Look jason get your mind off of Biafra, if they were to bring it up again there is nothing you can do about it. After true federalism, there will be no need of leaving the country, unless killings based on ethnicity continues. You're starting to sound like a dictator. |
jason12345:The structure that we have right now is not working. If you want to do make a big difference, you look at what the majority are doing and you do the opposite. The goal that you should be seeking is happiness. |
jason12345:So your point is to deprive Igbo, Ijaw, and Yoruba of self sufficiency? |
na2day!:War is caused by unfairness, discrimination, and oppression. This is what led to the civil war in Liberia. Native Africans were being unfairly treated, discriminated against, and oppressed by the Americo-Liberians;this is what led to the war. The reason i used you as a yoruba, is because you as a Yoruba just like me as an Igbo are what they called "Native Africans or Indigenous Africans", meaning if be we in liberia at the time the African-Americans were dropped off and gave prominence in Liberia, we would have been amongst of those Africans enslaved, discriminated against, oppressed, and killed. That's all I'm saying. You got to look at it from both sides. |
alj harem:Yes lets stop the ones that are going around with the mind of conquest and not equality and fairnesss. |
na2day!:Does that give you a reason to do such thing? No side was right. You being a yoruba, did you know if you were in the land of liberia during the time the American slaves were brought to that land they would have probably put you in slavery because you are a native African? Did you know that they did not allow indigenous Africans to get jobs and treated them the exact same way the racist white masters did those American Africans back in the Americas? The indigenous Africans were being pushed out and killed off. That's why Doe came into power, to stop the enslavement and discrimination imposed on these indigenous Africans of Liberia. Now the killing of them was NOT needed and shouldn't have been done. You're wrong for stooping that low dude. ![]() |
alj harem:Those who are not taking up arms that are suffering, are they not suffering for a reason? So because one does not see the need to escape slavery means that I must also walk that path? You talk of trading center in PH. The PH even have a seaport? lol You talk about that its hot in north and that is water everywhere in niger delta, does that mean there are no suffering in niger delta? Sufferage is not a uniformity, remember that. We all suffer different inflictions according to our environments. |
na2day!:So you yourself can post these gruesome videos and still taunt the death of a fellow african man like that even after seeing the way he died? ![]() |
alj harem:MASSOB is nonviolent. I think you mean MOSOP. However, MOSOP is non-violent to an extent, just don't come doing nonsense on their land unless they've given you permission. |
When any dares make a problem with Ndigbo I'm here to settle it B.A.M.N. ![]() |
I wonder if this includes the militants of Ogoni land, MOSOP? |
It is sickening that i see fellow Africans killing there brothers like that. Should freedom of well being and self-sufficiency be a matter of war? Then the questions is also to be answered, if one is being oppressed and his only way out is war should be take up arms or remain a slave? The same outside people that sponsored the civil war in Nigeria sponsored Charles taylor and his rebel army yet be African continue to kill ourselves while those outside powers willingly hand us the fuel to do so. |
As long as that nonsense name stays in his land then so be it. |

ChinenyeN:I think true Aro son's such as EzeUche or Udezue would be able to answer your question about Aro history and name origin better. To outsiders there's been a lot of conjure about the Aro going around. |
Eze Chima was not Bini. Hence, "Eze"=King, "Chima"= "God Knows". There is no Bini name that is Chima or Eze. It was proven that Eze Chima was Aro man who was a big trader in that area along the River Niger. I'm even starting question the name because I don't think Igbos were christians at his time so names like Chi-,Chukwu- were not used as such. Names like Taagbo and Dikeanyi and other strong names were used. It would have made more sense to me if his name was "Ndichima"= "The gods know". Just my thoughts. |
JBenue, I can't believe that you can say such a thing about the arewa people. I am disgusted just disgusted and I demand you give them an apology. If one asks Allah to provide, will he not send down fruit? They can and will survive. Look don't be so spineless. The best thing we can do is to help them pack their shyt and get the fucck out ok? Be nice man. |
CONSENSUS CANDIDATE: IBB, Gusau, Saraki at war with Ciroma •Over alleged links with Atiku Written by Taiwo Adisa, Abuja Tuesday, 09 November 2010 AHEAD of the announcement of the Northern consensus candidate billed for this week, indications have emerged in Abuja that a fresh crisis of confidence is rocking the camps of the consensus seekers. It had emerged late last week that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar was poised to win the consensus slot, thereby leaving the three other aspirants, General Ibrahim Babangida, General Aliyu Gusau and the governor of Kwara State, Dr Bukola Saraki, empty-handed. But a source close to the committee told the Nigerian Tribune in Abuja that there was unease in the camps of the three aspirants following persistent media reports putting Abubakar ahead. It was gathered that some interests from the camps of General Babangida, General Gusau and Governor Saraki had accused the leader of the 17-member consensus committee of allegedly selling out to Atiku. Said a source on Monday: “The reality is practically dawning on the consensus seekers that the whole thing seems to be working in favour of the former vice-president. Though there is a delay in announcing the final choice, there is agreement among members of the committee that Atiku should have it. “All the aspirants agreed that there would be a free and fair process where not a single candidate would be unduly favoured. We are hearing that a sort of tension is rising following suspicions in certain quarters.” It was gathered that some members of the camps of the three other aspirants had started suspecting that there was a sort of alliance between Alhaji Ciroma and the Atiku organisation. A source said that one example of the indication that the consensus committee might have informed Abubakar of his adoption because some media engagements of the Ciroma committee in recent weeks were handled by the Atiku organisation. Some top members of the campaign organisations are saying that Ciroma might have violated the code of ethics and the decision to carry everyone along by romancing Atiku. A member of the General Gusau Campaign Organisation told the Nigerian Tribune that the former National Security Adviser did not want to be involved in publicity over the consensus issue and that the camp was awaiting the release of the result. Another loyalist of the former NSA, said that the General possessed the best credentials of all the candidates on parade and that he represented a bridge between the old generation and the younger elements. The source said that Gusau had the least political liability of those in the contest. The source said that the General was confident of winning the consensus slot if a free and fair process was adopted. “Some have said that Ciroma is doing things with Atiku organisation. He was said to have allowed the camp of the former vice-president to organise some media events on his behalf,” a source said. The camps of Babangida, Gusau and Saraki have intensified their campaigns in the northern states in recent weeks following the decision of the committee to go round the states before announcing its choice. But while Gusau was said to be leading the pack initially, the pendulum swung in favour of Abubakar last week, with Gusau trailing. The camp of the former vice-president has, however, started exhibiting confidence which sources said could be attributable to more than a passing insight into what was unfolding. A source described the rally held by the Abubakar camp in Kano on Monday as something beyond the search for a northern ticket but a national campaign. http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/front-page-news/13301-consensus-candidate-ibb-gusau-saraki-at-war-with-ciroma-over-alleged-links-with-atiku |
Beaf:Not a chance ![]() |
Beaf:I thought as much because it only makes sense. Any intelligent person would see the story that you just told as logical. The itsekiri being there first just does not add up. |
Beaf:But its like they jumped over the Itsekiri into Ondo. Don't you think that maybe some of that land that Itsekiri have along the coast may have been taken away from the Ijaw and given to the Itsekiri or maybe the Ijaw sold them that land? |
alj harem:what has OBJ got to do with Ijaw population, small boy? Ibibio(including annang, ekoi)., get it right. And didnt you just say itsekiri is the 5th largest tribe in nigeria, numbering at 2-3mill? So i guess the Edo and Ibibio are now only 1mill each abi? |
Does anybody have any information of how the Ijaws ended up in Ondo? I want to ask before i give my thoughts. |

. i mean, all this organisations would simply take control of the regional governments since the people would feel a sense of security around them.
