mkwayisi: Guys, please stop saying that. It's like someone asking "Which mode of transportation is best when traveling from Abuja to London" and you replying "Whichever mode you are comfortable with." The guy might think: "Yay! Then I'm going to go by road on my bicycle since I feel so comfortable riding it." See? Your reply could have saved a humble life!
No, he's not asking about a mode of transportation here

he wants to know which car to use

if a bmw feels better, let him.

or

your suggestion would be ..........??
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by ciphoenix: 1:43am On Mar 29, 2013
Leopantro: No wonder you downloaded 98 gig worth of data in a month. With all those films and series, do you remember to watch the series "NTA NEWS"?
been ages since i last saw an episode of that cheesy cheesy
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by ciphoenix: 1:42am On Mar 29, 2013
Leopantro: That app is crap. Is not even an app, its a website interface. Even I that have zero app making skills created such on an app late last year. That app was even better because I designed it that new front page topics come in as twits,if you click on them it opens the full page of the topic. I lost interest when I couldn't browse through the various sections and the topics opens in external browsers. Can't recall the site. I think a competition should be setup for people to create a solid app for Nairaland. About time Nairaland had an app
i doubt nairaland will ever have an app
PhonesRe: Plz Where Can I Download Free High Quality Movies On Phone? by ciphoenix: 1:38am On Mar 29, 2013

if your phone is a droid, get aDownloader

PhonesRe: Airtel's Unlimited Access To Whatsapp For N100/Month by ciphoenix: 3:54pm On Mar 28, 2013
Osumare2013: Per file or per month? If it's per month, then whatsapp is shit. But if it's per file, I'll just keep sending mp3 worth rangin frm 5mb-10mb. And I still hav like 300songs to share. Shey airtel no go talk? That still means one can transfer 1gb of files within a month.
grin grin grin it's per file. not more than 12MB/file

you can suggest that as well
PhonesRe: Airtel's Unlimited Access To Whatsapp For N100/Month by ciphoenix: 12:41pm On Mar 28, 2013
Osumare2013: My question is- does dat N100 cover the sharin of videos (large ones I mean) and pictures too? Cos dat'll mean dat an average user will be able to use over 1gb within d 30-days period.

If it covers dat with no extra charges, then airtel is on point.
even if it did, i think whatsapp has a limit on size of file shared (12MB or so)
ProgrammingRe: Which Programming Language Is Best For Building An Hospital Management Software by ciphoenix: 12:31pm On Mar 28, 2013
@OP if you're the coder, then work with the language
you're comfortable with

if you plan on giving out the job then any good
developer (irrespective of language)
would be able to do a great job

ComputersRe: Windows 8: The Thread by ciphoenix: 12:01pm On Mar 28, 2013
so after weeks of looking for a decent virtual router app that wouldn't cause any BSODs for my PC and wouldn't cause my phone to disconnect every time i connected, i decided to try out microsoft's solution.

so i did the setup using the netsh command and voila, working well with my GN2

start command with admin priviledge
to setup, enter
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=<network name> key=<password>

then
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
to start the network.

remember to share whichever network you want to use with the new adapter

PhonesRe: Airtel's Unlimited Access To Whatsapp For N100/Month by ciphoenix: 2:46pm On Mar 27, 2013
Osyxcel: #100 is particularly useful for users who don't use constant/sufficient Data plans....if U av a robust Data Plan, this is irrelevant.

If U ask me, #100 is not too much for a month....I chkd ma data usage on Whatsapp since d last tym I downloaded a new version, which is just about a month ago, the data used is abt 15.7MB, and I don't chat heavily, and I don't av much active contacts....so #100 is stil very much ok, at least for now.
I guess that's okay for some users smiley
PhonesRe: Airtel's Unlimited Access To Whatsapp For N100/Month by ciphoenix: 2:46pm On Mar 27, 2013
yomanovic: the package is bleeping OKAYYY!!! many of you are blinded by ignorance. if you use whatsapp on your bb, ur bb subcription already covers it but you talk as if you can use yahoo messenger, twitter, badoo, 2go and other apps on your phone and pc without internet connection
you, Sir don't understand what it is I'm saying

Imagine I'm using the 1gb plan from airtel.
Now why would I want to pay a separate fee for whatsapp alone
When it can use the plan for other apps.
My point is, if you already have a nice internet plan,
The 100/month just becomes irrelevant

Hope you get my point smiley
