Edijana2015: I wonder what this people are thinking, you guys are agitating for biafra republic I don't know if you guys have sat down to answer these questions.
1. Do we have the resources to sustain everyone that will migrate back home?
2. Can we accommodate all of them?
3. Do we have enough jobs for them?
4. Why are the poor dieing and the rich are not? 5. Do we have food reserve that can sustain everyone?
6. Are there measures in place before agitating for biafra republic?
7. If we should win this battle, are we going to live well in peace?
8. Please feel free to add yours
Please you guys should know that it is not wise to go to a war when victory is sure. Apparently, IPOB members either don't know these facts or they chose to ignore 'em. |

Remii: for all that we may know later, there is no need for all these embarrassments, if the NASS sees anything wrong or funny, they can resolve it with those ministries, executive budget is just a draft, only the one passed by NASS is authentic, all these leakages of privileged information to media is for self gain, more of it will come since CCT is to resume trail of Saraki. God bless you bro, you seems to see things from my point of view. |

plaetton: When you say people like me, do you think I was clapping or cheering for the last administration? I lost hope in the redemptive quality of GEJ half way into his administration.
But however, as history would inevitably show in due time, the achievements of GEJs administration might not be attained, let alone surpassed by this current horde of locusts.
I am apolitical. Good leadership, no matter where it comes from, benefits me as well as all Nigerians.
I, like many Nigerians, am ashamed to confess that I fell for the " Change " mantra of the APC.
The glaring facts on the ground right now is that the assemblage of strange bedfellows in power right now appear to be more intellectually and morally bereft than any previous ones.
It is just unbelievable that they would use their premiere budget of " change" to play their hands so early in the game.
They are unravelling even sooner than most of their detractors had even envisaged. Truth be told I have my reservations about some of the policies of this new administration, but honestly it's too early to start judging please. I'm no blind follower, you should check my previous post in politics section. We are where we are today because of the ineptitude of the previous government. This might not be the 'change' we clamoured for, but I will NEVER regret voting out GEJ. I keep saying it, this budget bruhahaha is probably a deliberate attempt by some disgrunted elements to rubbish his anti-corruption campaign. Why would he send a budget he knows will spark uproar to the same senate he faulted its spendings? |

plaetton: My dear young Einstein,
A budget, a national budget is not something you delegate to a business center to prepare for you.
It is a blueprint of the leader's or party's vision, a document that encapsulates their ideology, their economic prudence and moral probity.
If you now blame invisible enemies for the wishy washy items on your national budget, your premiere budget, then it is the clearest INDICTMENT that you lack VISION, have wishy washy ideology, ignorant of economic prudence and short on moral probity.
Call a spade a spade. Like I pointed out earlier, I'm not expecting anything less from your likes. In Nigeria ANYTHING is possible, people will do just about anything to achieve their aims. Just that the Presidency is partly to blame for this development. |

Gbyte: A quick question for you. What is the major purpose of a mobile phone? I want to believe it's to make calls, receive calls, send text and receive text. Same with cars. Major purpose of a car is to move you from one place to another, so buying a car for $1m does not make you wasteful, it only defines your class. Luxury stuff are meant for show off, if you can't afford one, don't go close to it, the manufacturers won't miss you. You guys are getting wrong, lol. The guy that was quoted said people will sell off their Android to get an iPhone if the price was slashed. That is very wrong on so many levels dude. If the listed are the major purpose of a phone, why then are there smartphones in the market today. Moreover if I need a phone that can perform the bolded alone, there are many other better alternatives. Never compare an iOS with Android in terms of performance and capability (that's what my argument is all about), phuck price. shít, a lot of these iPhone users get self esteem issues. |
Phones › Re: Iphone: Why Majority Of Nigerians Don't Use The Device by cirmuell(m): 5:49pm On Feb 04, 2016*. Modified: 6:34am On Feb 06, 2016 |
greenhulk: That is u. Unfortunately most people just want to buy a phone that works and runs smoothly. Only a very few are into tweaking and all that and OEMs that actually make money don't sell phones because of tweakers. If u are rich enough to buy an iPhone then u should be bouyant enough to pay for ur internet so u don't need tweaking. This is why the iPhone is not meant for everyone. Lmao, this is plain ignorance. I wasn't even talking about internet, tweaking is not about internet alone. Power users want phones that works, run smoothly and can do many other things. Apparently, for most smartphone users it not always about the price, but the capability. Like I said, I'll rather spend my money on a high end Android OS than buy and iOS. Apple iPhone is crap. |

Djangocode: The Price is definitely the issue here..
Sell Iphone 5 brand new for 35K and watch Dudes sell there Gionee or Infinix or Samsung etc..
Iphones are way too sleek bro.. Every Phone Ninja in town Dreams of getting an Iphone Someday.. isi gini? speak for yaself abeg. Even if the price tag reads 15K there's no way in God's earth I'm buying that piece of crap. iPhone is highly overrated, over here I believe people buy it just for show off. There are a million and one thing you can do on Android OS that's you can't do on iOS (for those who know what using a smartphone is all about). I'll rather spend my money on high-end Android phones than use same to get an iPhone. |

Politics › Re: President Buhari Hails Jonathan As He Addressed The European Union Parliament by cirmuell(m): 6:08pm On Feb 03, 2016 |
9japrof: losing an election and handing over power is no big deal, but in Africa it is a big deal, cos a lot of sitting president loves "sitting on the throne" never relinguishing power even if the electorate doesnt want them there except in an exception of a few countries in the continent. how many am I to mention, from Congo, Gabon, Cameroon , Rwanda , Burundi, CEntral African Rebuplic, Egypt, Lybia ,ivory coadt have one time in the present/past fell Into crisis or the other because their leaders refused relinguishing power when they became unpopular.
So I guess it is not far fetched that GEJ would be praised for this: relinguishing power, not seeking redress in the court(even though he had the right to exercise that right) and even congratulating the winner when it became obvious he would lose. Not withstanding the fact that he gave the umpire (INEC) a free hand in doing their thing even tho it was at his detriment.
One funny thing is how Nigerians forget so fast, how Nigerians sheepishly follow and hail politicians whose primary reason of delving into politics is to milk this country dry. GEJ may have supervised a wanton looting and misappropriation of public funds but does that make him worse that OBJ ? I don't think so
After OBJ left office, it was discovered that OBJ spent over 65 billion dollars on electricity with little or no improvement to the status quo before he met it( What about probing from there) . I have never heard EFCC investigate that case. It was during OBJs tenure that millions of dollars were paid to the Govt for telecomunication licences, when Malaysia did theirs I heard that they used the funds to build new universities and fund their agricultural programs, how was ours spent.
OBJ is no saint and I hate it when gullible Nigerians portray him as one. Buhari who in the past claimed that Abacha was innocent of looting public funds is no saint either cos a friend and and a defender of a thief could also be referred as one. Eight long years was enough for OBJ to revamp the electricity sector, and the oil sector put together, six long years was enough for the clueless one to revamp the electricity sector Buh none of em did it and the problem continues.
Fixing infrastructure aint in Buharis agenda, just the fight of perceived enemies (sorry I mean the corruption crusade) so for now our economy can nosedive for all he bloody care Bros no one ever said OBJ is a saint. Hell, if Buhari decides to probe him today, trust me he's going to get the backing of most Nigerians especially the SW people. I'm sure when EFCC is done with Dasukigate, they'll open OBJ's file and the others. About relinquishing power and shít, my brother make I no lie you. What is obtainable in those other African countries can not happen here, this is Nigeria. When they say they don't want your asss anymore, they mean it. GEJ knew he's not gonna get much backing that's why he didn't try that shít. |
