Exactly. Some of them are a lost cause. We must endure and accept they are lost.
Those that will return or listen to reason should do so.

I saw an old traditional igbo Ogene music. At 5;50 he was singing and telling Igbos in northern Nigeria that it was time for them to leave.....and said, yet, some are still buying land! He said, don't cry when the inevitable disaster finally happens to you. Mind you, this music is more than 10 years old!

PoliticsMallam Nasir El Rufai: Biafrans failed to learn from Abuja demolitions by cjrane(op):
History is sometimes a cyclic event.

I stumbled over a traditional song and heard a verse @1:50 warning Igbos about their mad rush to build in northern Nigeria where there is still hatred for them. He particularly name Kano and Abuja where he said, just as we came to this world on a visit and must leave at some point, remember "a visitor will always leave or the person you visited may sometimes ask you to leave". So you people obessed with buying land and building in the north, what is your aim?

Considering that this song was made in early 2000s when Mallam Nasir El Rufai as the FCT administrator massively demolished igbo owned properties. You still wonder why Igbos haven't learnt anything from history and are so adamant on one Nigeria spending their life's savings in the north?

Well, those in the north should send their families to the south and stay together as men to fight for their properties. You decided to build there, so you must fight for your life's achievement there. However, it will not deter the Biafrans from asking for their freedom
Nigeria: El-Rufai - Igbos Own 73 Percent of Abuja Land:
By Chuks Okocha
Abuja — The Minister in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai over the weekend declared that Igbos have acquired about 73 percent of landed property in Abuja.

The Minister, who was addressing a gathering of Southeast elected officials also revealed how the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmadu Ali abused him for demolishing his house in Asokoro District in Abuja.

In the second video below, he warned again at 6:11 about those Igbos acquiring land in the Fulaniland and calling it investment or property to check their head and don't come crying later, because it will concern only you then.

He actually started singing for Igbos in the north at 5:50 asking them to come home and not to cry for their self inflicted disaster on it's way.
Mehn! how accurate he turned out to be !!!

There is nothing shortsighted in seeking freedom.
I would rather live as a middle class free man , than a rich slave.

Oppression of Biafrans in general have continued for too long and it is even getting worse. It's about time the issue is addressed or Biafrans have a right to rule themselves. By the way, those that want a war because of this issue should bring it on.

Maybe just maybe we can be able tovachiev restructuring peacefully.

But we know the troublemakers will want bloodshed.

Nigeria should stay together with a restructured polity. Simple.

If after that any one wants to go then let them go.

We should make restructuring the first option.

The part I hate about all these talk about Nigeria being indivisible and indissoluble talk by osinbajo is that after saying that he/they never say anything about how to keep Nigeria one. Does he think by just saying it so it will be.

Let everyone cone to a round table and let's discuss about the indivisibility and indissolubility. Luckily there is already a confab report.

Dont know why our leaders are so stvpid in this country because whether we like it or not they are the ones that can make Nigeria remain as one or we end up repeating the civil war, some blood thirsty vampires are baying for blood because that's all they know.
Believe me if Nigeria is restructured, nobody will want to leave. Nigerians know how to live together if everyone can rule their own region and have a right to develop themselves without somebody in Abuja posing an obstacle to any development in parts of Nigeria because they are 5%.

The trouble makers know this, that is why they are kicking against restructuring.

They want the country to violently break up so they can claim whatever they call Igbo investment in the north. What they have failed to factor into their calculations is that if Yoruba does not fight with them and if part of the middle belt also decide not to fight Igbos, then they will be in severe trouble fighting Biafrans alone. It will not take Biafra up to six months to destroy them completely. Then, all those thing they thought about doing will be reversed by Biafrans.

When Biafra is established, Igbos will know they are no longer citizens of Nigeria and will relocate.

Igbos will NOT leave the northern nigeria as long as they are still citizens of Nigeria.
Especially when the north is still feeding fat with oil and other resources from Biafraland.

PoliticsRe: Indonesia Firm To Build Refinery In Akwa Ibom - Bye Bye Oil Import? by cjrane: 12:22pm On Jun 22, 2017
This is why we ask for a restructured Nigeria.

If there is any part of this deal that requires the Federal Government approval, they will simply sit on it to frustrate the project because it is in a part of Nigeria they hate.

That is the nucleus of the agitation for self governance. it has little to do with fiscal federalism. But too much power is in the central government that nobody can develop its state with approval from Abuja. Which is very wrong in a big diverse country like Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Major Reasons Why IPOB Has Been Very Successful by cjrane: 11:20am On Jun 22, 2017
Freemancipation:
1) They are not diplomatic. Diplomacy doesn't work in Nigeria and they learnt that lesson from the experiences of MASSOB that tried diplomacy so many years and failed.

2) They don't spend too much time online arguing. They are actually engaged with people and communities on the grassroots level. That's why the movement keeps growing regardless of how many anti-Biafra propaganda is online.

3) They are willing to lay down their lives for their beliefs.

4) They have been cultivating strong international and diaspora support.

5) They present strong arguments to their convictions and engage in intellectual debates.

6) The massive failure of Nigeria in all aspect of its existence including but not limited to its political and economic sphere.
Treating Igbo as second class citizens in a country they fought for its independence is the reason why Igbo must leave Nigeria. It has nothing to do with IPOB or Nnamdi Kanu.

Those that have conspired to marginalize Igbos using the centralized command system of Federal Government of Nigeria know this is the issue, but they are pretending about it and deceiving themselves calling it IPOB or Kanu. Concentrating on the symptom or reaction of the people to not just calling them 5% but treating them as 0.5% is another level of deceit. I personally support Kanu because he has no qualms to speak truth to power, unlike Ohaneze old men.

I am glad those people pretending they don't know why Igbos would want to leave a slave-like situation in Nigeria to continue with the deceit because by the time they agree to do something about the structure of Nigeria, more people would have been convinced it is too late to be in Nigeria.

Dear Frank if you ask me, this isn't the time to be posting these peoples' hard earned business to their enemies looking for ways to ruin them in their pathological anti-Biafran rage. Soon as they posted Ifeanyi Ubah's game village nearing completion, they sent DSS to grab him and refused to obey court orders to free him.

Meanwhile the same DSS will not arrest northern "youths" threatening war on Nigeria just because Biafrans sat at home on May 30th to mourn their war dead.

Biko, just let the afonjas that start these threads to post what is in Ogun and Lagos. Now our energy should focus on how to get convince Igbos in the north to bring home their families and stay together up there to fight for their properties. These are different times to be posting these types of images. You will be exposing the owners of these outfits to harm as some people will dispatch DSS to their facility with one frivolous claim on importation or tax evasion. Notice that apart from Chino, nobody else in in this game now.

There is something special about this one as only Lagos and Abuja have such roads transversing them in Nigeria. Other cities like Port Harcourt have only one stretch of such wide road. I appreciate Okorocha so much because I was able to figure out his long term vision being a wise man myself. The plans he has and is seriously working on if realized will be like a miracle to those who misunderstood him.
Rochas may be appreciated more after he leaves office.

PoliticsRe: My Advice To fellow Igbos Living In The North. by cjrane: 2:56pm On Jun 18, 2017
newbornmacho:
First a background.
I am Igbo and I live in the north of Nigeria. I have followed events quite closely, listening to all sides hoping to decide which argument has the most merit. As it is , the northern youths' ultimatum to my kin to leave the north has helped crystallize my own position.
I am in favour of a UN backed referendum for the Igbo and any others to express their desires or otherwise to break away from Nigeria. I do hope that can be done quickly enough, and am urging the FG to please expedite this process. Ultimately I would hope that borders and other terms of the separation would be decided under the watchful eyes of the int'l community, and the new nation birthed in peace.
I've had to define my position to debunk the myth of the Igbo who will not leave the north come what may. I was born here in the north and only had my university training in the east . NYSC and 100% of my working life have been in the north and I have many friends here , but I will never succumb to the humiliation of being called a parasite on the north. Indeed I and many others like me have given to the north more than it has given me.
I was the only doctor in the local government where I served (NYSC) and the constant communication from my friends there show how much I meant to them. I own a hospital now, and 95 percent of my staff are northeners. Many of my friends similarly. Listen : if the north wants me to leave, I am more than happy to oblige them.

Now my advice:
1. All Igbo in the remote northern hinterland should relocate as a first step to the city centers with large Igbo populations. Don't be found alone when it goes down.
2. Arrangements for sufficient video surveillance of happenings should be made by all. Get a recording device and carry it with you at all times. Place any potentially illegal infringement on your rights on record. We hope to open a Facebook account where folks can post videos and all.
3. Be sure to have papers of your real estate. Bank them if you can.

4. Be extremely cautious what you say/do on social media, or in real life. DONT DRAW FIRST BLOOD!.
5. relocate those you can.
6. Keep in touch. Arrangements are being made to beam an intense international media searchlight on Igbo enclaves in the north. Don't be isolated.
7. BE READY TO GO HOME!!! Our aim is a legal divorce from Nigeria with a new homeland to relocate to; until that is guaranteed its suicidal to congregate in the east under guard of a hostile and reckless armed forces. Don't go anywhere until Biafra or some other entity legally emerges.
8. Stop all further investments in the north. Transfer what you can home. Even if Nigeria remains as is, you should have learnt a thing or two.
9. I have put up some of my real estate for sale. You may wish to do the same.
10. Retain contacts with our Christian brothers from the middle belt and the northern minorities. There will be future negotiations and discussions, and all contacts and connections will be useful.
11. Lastly don't tar everyone with the same brush. There are core Hausa Fulani that are as disturbed by recent events. There are good and bad people everywhere .
Whatever happens hereafter , Nigeria can never remain the same again.
There was a country.
Op, Thank you very much for your post. Well written.
Considering your post, it makes sense to relocate family members but stay back in the north as groups of men to fight together if it comes to that.

A lot of people have divulged the Fulani northern agenda to use Nigerian army to lay siege on the SE if they successfully get everyone to leave the north without a legal state of Biafra in existence to protect them. That possibility is very real. But it doesn't mean we are completely helpless should it come to that.

You do not need to sell off your estate in northern Nigeria now because you will get nothing from it. Just keep your legal papers safe and when the time comes, you will either have your property back or compensation will be paid. Just don't be foolish investing further in new projects.

Most importantly, convert most of your savings into dollars, Euro or Chinese Yuan; Renminbi NOW!!!

Open domiciliary account or open accounts in neighboring countries as Cameroon, Ghana, Togo etc. if you must bank with a Nigerian bank, use those that have branches in other countries such as South Africa etc to make sure you can operate your account outside Nigeria.
This is the only way you can retain your hard earned wealth after Nigeria changes the naira and begins their economic war. Also, move the bulk of your account to banks you know will be sympathetic to your cause so that you have a good chance of getting your money back.

It is obvious that Fulani is planning a sinister violent operation, so it may become pertinent to begin looking for arms suppliers abroad. Not that we should purchase the arms, but we will know where to get them and how much when it is needed.

Nigeria will have a long midnight in the near future. Thank you for your post again.

Obasanjo and Ngozi okonjo Iweala has everything to do with our low debt profile.

Of course the present APC government borrowing like mad for phantom projects have already raised the debt several times from a near zero debt profile Nigeria had. Our saving grace has been the Nigerian senate that prevent the present thieves in power from simply robbing the country through acquiring debts secretly and pocketing most of it quietly without anyone knowing what they have been borrowing.

ChimaAdeoye:
Those that experienced the first war will tell you that they got only 20 Nigerian pounds after the war.

Following the ultimatum of Arewa youths, the same thing is being plotted again. Except that it will happen before any war and not after. When and if violence breaks out in the north, they know Igbos will retaliate. The first things is that they will claim banks cannot open due to insecurity, but bank will function normally in the north. Eventually when it becomes too dangerous for any Igbo to venture into the north to operate their bank accounts, they will order the banks in the Igbo areas to close up completely, effectively trapping your money in Nigerian banks and will be seized. Then they will change money to make sure any money you have in your possession is useless.

Using the instrument of the Federal Government, some people now in government are already plotting how to confiscate your money in the bank.

Those with hefty sums should begin to convert some of their assets into foreign currency immediately, or open up bank accounts in other foreign countries.
What you have said is true.

Folks keep talking about Igbo in the north leaving, but it's only the beginning of the plot.

I have already paid in more money to my bank account in USA and Cameroon.
PoliticsRepublic Of Southern Nigeria? by cjrane(op): 10:36pm On Jun 15, 2017
As it has become obvious that Nigeria is destined to go away and be replaced by progressive nations, one begins to imagine what will or can be of the new nations that will surely emerge.

I have spoken to many Igbo, Igala, Idoma and Niger delta people on the possibility of including Yorubas in a wider republic of Southern Nigeria. Many expressed no problems with that so long as the central command and control structure of using the FG to rob constituent parts of the federation isn't repeated again. Thus, i decided to bring this issue out for all southern Nigerians including some similar groups in the present middle belt to deliberate the advantages and disadvantages of including the Yoruba race in a wider Republic of Southern Nigeria.

Let me first acknowledge the historic animosities and pent up anger about the past on both sides. However, what we are discussing here is building a virile powerful progressive nation that will be the pride of black people everywhere in the world.A nation that can attain the height of Germany or Japan in the world and help drive development of Africa. Thus, sometimes we must forgive and forget no matter how painful the past misdeeds were to us, for the sake of the future generation of the Republic of Southern Nigeria.

As you all know, i'm the first person to call someone deceitful Afonja, but you all know I'm a bonafide Igbo from Anioma.
Anyhow, my reasons for advocating inclusion of Yoruba is because of our closer belief system in hard work and preference for dialogue than violence. The Yoruba as a group will also add their vibrancy to the Southern Nigeria republic and help make it a shining star in the world. But most importantly, we are very similar to the Yoruba in our philosophy and outlook to life.

Please contribute with a focus on the potential of building a true federal state in the Republic of Southern Nigeria, where every region (Federating unit) manage their resources and contribute a little to the central government for defense and foreign affairs. Of course with the principle of referendum for self determination enshrined in the constitution so that any region that finds itself at a pure disadvantage in the Republic of Southern Nigeria can always peacefully separate. I think that clause will make the country more focused on fairness than anything else. Should we encourage Afenifere and Ohaneze to achieve the proverbial hand shake across the Niger? Thank you for your contribution.
