PoliticsRe: Buhari Address To The Nation. by cjrane: 6:47pm On Aug 21, 2017
Buhari is a shameless liar!

Ojukwu is well quoted in many publications saying the political and economic marginalization of the Igbo by Nigeria must stop, else Biafra may occur again. His wish for Nigeria was to learn from history so that the same mistakes are not repeated. See Page 320 in the book cited below.

So what is Buhari hoping to achieve by telling blatant white lies with Ojukwu's name?

Buhari should be ashamed trying to lie with ojukwu's name. it shows how shameless he has become.

Ojukwu ALWAYS warned that unless the systematic exclusion of Igbo from Nigeria stopped, Biafra would always be an attractive alternative.
In this book, it's on page 320

PoliticsWhy Would An Ailing President Tell Lies? by cjrane(op): 6:27pm On Aug 21, 2017
If you know you will soon be joining your ancestors, wouldn't you be living a decent life free from deceit and sin?
Most normal people would do so, but for a Nigerian president.

What type of desperation should drive a president to lie to sections of the country he has openly stated his hatred towards them?
We challenge Buhari to produce a video documenting the content of his long two days discussion with Dim Ojukwu. Why is it necessary to lie against a Biafran hero just to buy some fake legitimacy of his indissoluble, indivisible, indestructible crap?

Ojukwu has been known to say it will be better that Nigeria learned lessons from the civil war so as not to repeat the same errors again. Ojukwu has been quoted in prominent newspapers and even books that Biafra was always an alternative for the Biafrans if the Nigerians continued the political isolation of Biafrans and made it impossible for them to be equal Nigerians. See page 320. of attached book "Prominient African Leaders Since Independence"

Why should General Buhari continue hate speech even against his superiors in the Nigeria army just because they have passed away?

Ojukwu has severally said he prefers one Nigeria that will learn from the mistakes of the civil war so that another one will not be necessary.

Buhari is a bloody liar.

When did he meet Ojukwu in Daura for 2 days and who were withnesses?
To begin with, Ojukwu could never have envisaged the type of virulent anti-Igbo agenda that Buhari will have as he now does. Nigeria must either be for everybody or it must allow the nations trapped and enslaved inside for the benefit of Fulani to leave. All the wishful thinking of Buhari that once he uses the word "Non-negotiable" non-dissoluble, non-talkable" etc, then people will just take his oppressive wickedness and sit down is simply a joke.

STOP talking and start acting. Arewa yoots already made it clear that they are above the FG if it's a Igbo that gave quit notice to Fulani people and produce hate songs to incite people to kill fulanis, you would have since arrested the Igbo person. Yet, Igbos are supposed to be equal citizens in one country with Fulanis.

I think the northwest and North East are betting on their divide and conquer tactics to divide the south on restructuring. or better still, try to confuse the issue by introducing all sorts of useless ideas to make the process daunting and distract Nigerians.
I think Nigerians should allow them to play their usual tricks, but just don't fall for them.

Southern leaders must begin to coordinate on how to frustrate the 2019 elections in their area unless restructuring is starts now.

DocHMD:
The problem I have with these 'restructure' proponents is that it has no clearly defined term. It can be interpreted in any way. It could mean 'confederacy', 'resource control', 'regionalism' or even more 'fascist unitarism' (the one we operate now is 'pseudo-unitarism' as the states still have some level of power of autonomy.

I daresay that even Seccession or separation can be interpreted as 'restructure'.

What kind of restructure are you proposing? Can your restructure stop desert states in the hot arid north from having more LGA than in the southern savanah?
Can your restructure stop the same parasitic arid north from lording it over the rest like the contraption is a personal estate of Dan fodio?

Can your restructure stop the hausa/fulani cows from grazing on farms and trespassing on personal properties?

Can your restructure stop Nigeriens and Chadians from having more rights than Southerners in the army and police?

Can your restructure achieve 100% resource control like its done in the US?

Can your restructure stop the hausa and fulani from filling the Army, Navy, Airforce, DSS and other parastatal with their people?

In 1963, Nigeria became a Republic called "Federal Republic of Nigeria" based on the 1963 Federal constitution written by our founding fathers as a way to manager our unity in diversity. Chief Obafemi Awolowo correctly predicted that for our unity to become strong and advantageous for national development, out diversity must be acknowledged and respected.

In less than 5 years, Regions were making quantum progress building Universities as University of Ile Ife (OAU), ABU, UNN. They were building industries, skyscrapers (Cocoa House), funded universal free education from elementary school to university level in the West. The regions built world class hotels, airports etc. The amazing thing is that they built all these within 3-5 years before they became abolished.

Today, so called states cannot pay salaries talk more of build high quality universities as OAU, skyscrapers or Hotels like Hotel Presidential in PH. Even when they dare to build anything tangible at all, it takes about 8-12 years to build a mediocre structure . Look at Lagos light rail or PH monorail. Regional governments would have completed those projects in 12-24 months.

We must go back to the 1963 constitution agreed by our founding fathers as the basis for our unity.

Following the blunt refusal of the North West and North East zones to restructure and make Nigeria a more equitable country and their audacious action to completely block the issue through the Nigerian Senate and House of Representatives. It is indeed great to learn that the leaders of southern Nigeria and the middle belt are seriously considering boycott of the 2019 elections unless Nigeria is restructured.

I would personally ask the southern leaders to avoid the state governors and politicians who would kick against this action for their personal gain. The peoples of southern Nigeria are prepared to boycott the 2019 elections unless the country is restructured.

The northwest & northeast should choose between missing the chance to produce a president in 2019 or restructuring the country with proper devolution of powers to the states and regions.

I suspect the next move of the north west & northeast would be to ask their boys in the army to stage a military coup. In that event, it is even better because it exposes the sham and injustices in the country to the entire world.

May God bless Nigeria.

Please,
abookis that will come here pretending to be Yoruba or Igbo to call people names, please stay away!!!

Only Southern Nigerians and middle belt are invited to discuss these issues of fairness and justice in Nigeria.

Truly,
Nnamdi Kanu has played his role. Whether he is arrested, killed or exiled, there is no way to suddenly remove the thousands of youths demanding freedom to live decently and govern themselves in Biafra.

That is why i fear it may infact be too late for restructuring as being planned with states instead of geo-political sub-regions.

The name Biafra will never leave again. I think the only way to life with Biafra is either a confederation of nations within Nigeria or naming a federating region as Biafra.

Dude, Don't be silly!
Can a governor legally sign away a whopping N1.7 billion naira of the people's money?

If you work as MD in your father's company and went to a lawyer or "Consultant" who says i will take 30% of your father's wealth for my money and you agree. Should he now take 30% of your father's wealth without a written consent from him as the owner of the company agreeing to such hefty cum fraudulent payout? Why wasn't your father consulted before the deal was struck if this were a straightforward deal? Why didn't the "Consultant" name a stipulated or even estimated amount in which they needed to take 30% instead on criminally avoiding any mention of the funds? if it were N100 naira they were seeking, would they settle for 30% of the amount without mentioning that they will be paid xxxx amount after they had received their N30 naira? Does your father's money belong to you because you work for him?

For such hefty fee as 30% of an entire state's resources to be taken, the State House of Assembly MUST ratify such agreement that borders on hefty theft of billions of naira of the people's money.
PoliticsOzubulu Shooting: Were The Gunmen Fulani? by cjrane(op): 7:43pm On Aug 07, 2017
A lot of speculations and conjectures have trailed the Ozubulu church massacre.

One which caught my attention was the lingering dispute with Fulani herdsmen who invaded the community.

I have learned that members of the community believe the assailant was dressed in a long black shirt with a face cap. The shirt was so long it resembled the typical Fulani babariga attire.

I am aware the Police is desperately trying to cover the truth of this attack. Therefore, i'm appealing to nairalanders who have special information to expose it here so that it cannot be covered by the authorities.

Thank you in advance for your contributions.

Aiteo emerges Nigeria’s leading oil & gas company with record 90kpod output in 1 year

The company is confident that its significant gas resources at OML 29 will transform the country’s oil rich Niger Delta region into a power generation hub of repute before long

LAGOS, Nigeria, March 10, 2017/APO/ — Integrated energy group Aiteo (http://AiteoGroup.com) has announced a peak production of 90kpod just one year after its acquisition of sub-Sharan Africa’s reputedly largest onshore oil bloc OML 29.

Aiteo acquired OML 29 in September, 2015 when oil major Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) fully exited the facility. At the time of the divestment, average production was 23Kbpod. But Aiteo, one of the frontline sponsors of the justconcluded 16th Oil and Gas (NOG) Conference held in the country’s capital Abuja, says it has tripled this figure leveraging the diversity and skills of its work force and bona fides as a dynamic international energy conglomerate.

Aiteo’s ambitious five-year objectives include tackling the power challenges in Nigeria head-on through its legacy investments in the gas-to-power value chain

Its CEO and Vice Chairman Benedict Peters said the company grew production from 23kbbl/d upon takeover of operations to a peak of 90Kbbl/d in one year. He also highlighted several existing and developing projects that could potentially grow Aiteo’s asset production to over 150 kbopd and 200mmscf/d. He said: “Our outlook is bright with 3 producing oil fields and viable crude exports via Bonny terminal. We also have contingent resources to appraise and prospective ones to explore in the medium-to-long term, including full 3D coverage and 2P NNS reserves at 1.6bn bbl. Put simply, we have a clear vision for the future with the experience and assets crucial to providing oil and gas consistently on a regional and global scale.”

Aiteo’s ambitious five-year objectives include tackling the power challenges in Nigeria head-on through its legacy investments in the gas-to-power value chain. “This is a testament to our commitment to the transformation of the entire oil & gas value chain into a world-class landscape,” Peters added.

The company’s main subsidiary Aiteo Eastern E&P is also a major infrastructure provider for Nigeria’s oil industry as the operator of the 97km Nembe Creek Trunk Line, an industry-wide evacuation pipeline for produced fluids covering much of the country’s Eastern Delta region.

Aiteo’s Group Managing Director Mr. Chike Onyejekwe said: “Our growth drivers remain strong leadership, high commitment and motivation, technical and commercial excellence and superior asset base. In the next five years, our operations will continue to be guided by these qualities as we leverage our capabilities comparable to oil majors elsewhere in the world. Indeed, the future is Aiteo.”

In the interim, Aiteo says it is developing a pipeline of power generation projects across Nigeria. The company is confident that its significant gas resources at OML 29 will transform the country’s oil rich Niger Delta region into a power generation hub of repute before long.
