FreeGlobe:Dude, You are a very funny character. I know the building is on the left side of the express when you are driving to Enugu. I believe it was burnt down by your mentor Ngige in 2006 saga with Chris Ubah. I only asked what the building is being used for because i have not entered they building.Besides, that building IS NOT CLOSE TO AWKA GOVERNMENT HOUSE! That shows that you don't know where the governor lives in Awka. Yet, you claim to be from Anambra! ![]() Show us the pictures you promised to get of Uga or Awka. Chino wanted to meet you for a drink, you kept dodging him! Who knows if you are from Kogi state, masquerading to be from Anambra? Ndi ala.. ![]() |

What building is this in Awka?

QRC pics. pulled from school website.

OdenigboAroli:Some CKC pics from their website.

IGBOSON1:Yes, QRC is on the same Oguta road, just located closer to the Upper Iweka end of the road. The picture of a roundabout with flowers and sprinklers is not Zik's roundabout. That is a roundabout in Uyo, but i posted it to illustrate that Zik's roundabout should have flowers and water fountain. I hope Zik's roundabout eventually looks better than that roundabout i posted .Perhaps what i meant was a roundabout with water fountain around Zik's statue, grass and lots of flowers around like here. Some renovation work is going on at Zik's roundabout. Hopefully, it comes out as a piece of high quality work. I heard Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe was particularly fond of that roundabout and his statue in the center of it when he was alive. Really it's a roundabout at the heart of Onitsha town. I hope they do a good job to transform the roundabout into a notable roundabout worth Zik's statue.... most importantly, NO advertisement sign boards should be erected inside the Zik's roundabout!

Abagworo:Lux Fiat !!! Bro. Which set were you? Those that say DMGS hasn't changed are deliberately being deceptive. OdenigboAroli:Yes, they need more flowers and trees in the compound to make it an even better academic environment. But you know planting flowers and trees had been a big deficiency in Anambra. The funny thing is that if the Principal buys the trees, the students can plant them along the perimeter fence of the school and water it themselves until it grows. But some principals actually aren't better than village mechanics in aesthetics or vision. Perhaps, the principal should use concrete or interlocking stones to tar the entrance into the school Oguta road to make the entrance into the school look decent like CKC. The old boys association has been active in the school's massive renovation. Also, the state government through the church is adding new dormitories. DMGS has and shall remain a shining light!

I was asked today what fun tourist attractions there were in Enugu and all i could say was Shoprite mall. Can someone help me fill this list, i want to convince a relation to visit Enugu before leaving the country. Thank yo in advance for the help. |
The DMGS Zik's roundabout in the picture above is being upgraded. One hopes colorful flowers will be used and water fountain included in the design.

My great DMGS ever rejuvenating itself. Check out Policemen doing acrobatic styles on commercial trucks. ![]() Some things never change lol..

Ilovenigeria:So sorry about your loss. Please take heart. May God give you the strength to go thru this. |
More rural roads bring constructed. WITH GUTTERS ON TWO SIDES!

Has the arms arrived yet? ... I hope Saudi Arabia airlines have stopped using our airports and airspace too. All these insults must stop! |
Apart from not being intellectually sound, Buhari has a terminal disease. Those proposing Buhari may actually just want him to die in office like Yar' adua. Afterall, same people foisted Yar;adua on Nigerians. |
I just feel uncomfortable with the cushion chairs in our train. Even though they are great now, i wonder how long they will last. If you noticed, trains abroad have plastic seats, so that they can be easily cleaned out, even if someone vomits on it. Anyhow, i thank our working President GEJ for providing Nigerians a functional train. Something the others simply failed to do.

Those that dont know about the UN voting, have probably never heard of veto votes possesed by 5 countries in the world.Whether Nigeria voted or not, USA will still veto the nonsense. Does it really matter if we voted? Besides, why should we continue to put other countries interest before Nigeria's? This was exactly how we frustrated business from UK and USA from coming into Nigeria to help develop our economy, in order to fight for South Africans. Today, they are one single group that hate Nigeria so much! Nigeria's interest must be protected first before any one else's. |
pring:Shebi Isreal was helping us to beat Boko Haram? Or was it the Saudis helping us to procure arms? Wetin concern vulture with barber? |
Following the failed attempt of Palestine to be recognized as a sovereign country at the security council of the united nation, the Nigerian Supreme Council On Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has condemned the stand of Nigeria to abstain from voting thereby truncating the effort to resolve the 66 year old crisis. |
investnow2013:That will be okay to site it there.Apart from Oba site, Metalurgical institute also exist in the Onitsha housing area close to Premier breweries. I don't know if you know this; any project beyond the flyover towards Owerri is considered Obosi. Ask people in Awada if they are allowed to write "Onitsha" on their buildings. |
investnow2013:University of Onitsha; will be a great idea. However, it is NOT government that should own it. The government can liase with notable faith based institutions or business groups to float the University. The task will be to find space for it inside Onitsha city. Your previous suggestion to take the army barracks is dead on arrival because the military authorities will resist that move. Thus, the best hope is to secure a piece of land in Onitsha and build at least 10 storey high buildings. Perhaps 3 or 4 of such building may have enough class rooms and office blocks to enable the university run a meaningful number of courses. Many Unviversities Nigerians ruch to in Ghana are all housed in a single high rise building! The other alternative would be to change the name as University of Oba, and site it there or call it the University of Nsugbe, so that it can be sited there. |

cuteboy2:As long as it is not the blood of his children or his own, it is the equivalence of the blood of a goat or sheep....and truly those supporting him almost behave like those animals. |
Anambra cultural festival Happy New Year!

OdenigboAroli:Exactly Bro. You took it out of my mouth! It the same Vonabottel aka olodoowoh or All4naija just frustrated that all his evil plans to derail the thread came to naught. As a policy, i don't respond to those silly characters. Whenever you view this thread, even at midnight you will see him viewing without commenting. One can only imagine their frustration that the people they call villagers, and that were finished in Nigerian politics have quietly been achieving so much. ![]() |
To Politics: Labaran maku is the Nasarawa State APGA gubernatorial candidate!!! I hope he is given support to win. I heard he is really popular amongst his people, that is why the incumbents want him denied the slot. History is about to repeat itself when a supposedly Igbo party NPP won Plateau state governorship with Solomon Lar! APGA shall eventually become very popular and the party to beat in SE,SS and north central zones
