Myluv1: NFF Writes Obiano On Release Of Land For FIFA Project
Onjewu Dickson — Jan 8, 2015
The Nigerian Football Federation has called on governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State to clear all administrative bottlenecks impeding the commencement of work at the FIFA Goal project sited in the state.
In a letter entitled “Re-Award of FIFA Goal project to Anambra State”, signed by Musa Amadu, Secretary General of the body, the NFF said the project would uplift the lives of the youths in the state.
It stated that the world football governing body had been putting pressure on them to forward the necessary document to clear the cost for the commencement of the $2million project which Anambra was lucky to benefit from.
“Construction works has started on the site in Bauchi while Lagos has also provided land space. FIFA has continued to put pressure on the NFF to provide documents for land space in Anambra (Complete with Certificate of Occupancy made in favour of the NFF) in order that construction work can start.
“It is our knowledge that former governor Peter Obi signed the C of O on March 12, 2014, in view of the above, we are requesting Your Excellency to indicate a date and time convenient for you, during which the leadership of the NFF can receive the document to the land space already set aside.”
They should forward land in Awka for the project if the Ogbunike site had been lost, with the condition that if work does not start within 2 years, the land is forfeited back to the state government .
Shebi, after rigging, they will form parallel government. If una like tell Shekau to kill everyone,It won't do you any good. We have rejected ex-military dictators lusting for power through every foul means.
backtosender: pls watch this nollywood movie i no that the movie industry which is the 3rd lardgest in the world is control by igbos both in producing and marketing i am happy most nollywood movies are being produced in the east which will help showcase it to the world beyond, look at how beautiful igboland is,people cannot believe is the same people that start with N20 struggle few yrs ago pls just look at the magnificent houses and beautiful environment in Enugu and tell me if alaigbo is nt the most beautiful land in africa.........igbos are special breed i believe it
Enugu has really nice places and even nicer place than in the movie. But The Kokoma movie was shot in Asaba. See the blue color of the Keke and Taxis and the peculiar Asaba streetlights
biafrandream: If you followed this thread over the years, you would have realized that Spydder covers the rich and the poor in his publications. Besides, he is not the chief executive officer of Enugu State, and so there's little he can do to help the poor ones in the city. I hope you do not expect him to go and dig out all the dirt in Enugu to appear peasant-friendly, as that would run contrary to the objective of this thread. Don't forget that every city in the world has it's share of poor people. Thanks for remembering the hard-up families. Happy New Year.
Nigerians often have the wrong notion that building infrastructure such as roads, schools, agricultural mechanization or attracting investment isn't helping the poor unless you dash bags of rice and beans.
The Chinese proverb " give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day, teach him how to fish, he'll eat forever" has taught that poverty alleviation is not about dashing rice and beans to the poor.
Gov. Chime has no rival in poverty alleviation by providing taxis on hire purchase, keke napep, building smooth roads to ensure transportation is safe, cheap and profitable to the taxi drivers. Many investment has been attracted to the state including Innoson factory. Providing security for people to secure their business places and shops. All these help people to find employment to pull themselves out of poverty, not just giving them rice and beans.
Only in Nigeria will a presidential candidate present this as certificate, what happened to the original copy? He can't get the war college to give him another copy?
And why did he go with Shekau?
Wow! So Buhari went to the same war college as Shekau? No wonder they believe in killing civilians instead of fighting soldiers
hopilo: From my research, the US Army college runs a Faculty programs were the award, MSC in various fields. They also have a military courses for international military affiliates which they call International Fellows which a training certificate of completion is given for trained officers in various divisions like Infantry (IN), artillery (ARTY) Amoury (ARMY), Strategy and training (S&T) and others. My curiosity made me check the alumni for the 1980 set and register of the dead alumni. I can't see any name that tally with the names on the plague both on the faculty list and the International fellow list. Could it be that this plague which is not a certificate but an equivalent of a matriculation or graduation list is fake? or any serious employer can accept a graduation list in place of my certificate? compare the list below for names with 80 after their names to the list on the plague if any name correspond.
They think this is the past where people can just lie about anything and think it is not verifiable.
I am sure an e-rat here in NL used his laptop to design that so called plaque to deceive people. Not knowing Nigerians now research and verify every information . lol.
I thought i was the only one that noticed the mocking of Christianity by Buhari. He calls for total sharia of Nigeria when he was a maximum ruler and calls on christian votes when it becomes obvious he cannot win on Muslim votes alone.
levelszik: we will never harm hoodlums with arms lest they use the ammunitions against us one day.that was how boko haram insurgency started in the north and also how militancy started in the south south. Don't ever make the mistake of appeasing the gods with a god,it has never worked anywhere in the world.you would just end up implementing what you are trying to prevent.nuff said.
Exactly and to the point. If you arm hoodlums to hunt hoodlums, they will turn around and hunt you with the same guns you bought them.
I read that Habitat for humanity Onitsha city recommendation and found they had recommended several flyovers along the Onitsha-Awka express. Even the oraifite road flyover where a pedestrian bridge is being built. I wish they spent that money to build a small 2 lane bridge there. The two lane bridge connecting MCC road to Oraifite street would have still served the function of a pedestrian bridge as people can still cross the expressway on foot using the bridge.
OdenigboAroli: Haha...Ide nnaa, wetuo obi...You should visit here more often because I think thats why you are being mistaken. Cjrane is one of the most intelligent contributor on this thread and even Enugu thread. He is a patriotic Igbo and I believe you 'd like him if you study his contributions.
ACM10: Taa kpuchie onu! Onyu nsi dika gi. How can you ofeke call oke nwa Inwele Ogidi onye Wawa. To add insult to the injury, u used the term "clannish" on me. Afurum na gi bu nwatakiri mutara isu oyibo ofuu. If not for the sake of "Igbo bu ofu", I for send ogwugwu Ogidi to cut you to size. Fie isaa na anya.
Oga mi, Sorry o! I have been reading you in the Enugu post, thus i assumed you were bitter why Enugu pics should be used in Anambra thread, which i found silly. Sorry for my wrong assumption. I see Igboland as one state and all these 5 states as local governments. So i support the entire Igbo state.
Sorry again, no disrepect meant. We are here for the good of Anambra state. Nnaa nawa for you about that learning Igbo thing. Odika I choro i gu edemede m n'igbo?
gratiaeo: Who need university degree when you can walk into court and swear affidavit
Jokes aside,
I am in the process of swearing an affidavit that i have PhD from Havard University. There is a job i want to get and that is their requirement.
BTW, I think Buhari went to University of Ibadan secondary school. I remember seeing a lanky guy like him then. He dropped out on JSS 2 and joined the army to do a coup. I can swear that affidavit that he was my classmate if he will reward me handsomely when we grab Nigerian treasury
FreeGlobe: when will you lots get tired of this your this person is from Anambra and this person is not from Anambra childish nonsense? Its getting stale and only displays your very low mentality. Do think I will ever argue that with any one on the internet? You set of peter obi sycophants will swear Ngige is not from Anambra too anyways if it weren't obvious. The funny thing is you are not even from Anambra because I read that from you some time ago. Fyi, that building is close to Government House. Not Governors lodge in Amawbia. I have more important things to do than meeting anyone. I still stand by my previous comment.
OdenigboAroli: I was 20yrs old when I joined Massob in Lagos and the hope-filled speech we were fed with gave us so much hope and faith, but not too long after I joined them did I start understanding that the group has no foundation ,future nor any means of actualizing their dream. It was just a rag-tag band of confused dreamers. Basically,it is a waste of time and their mission was not very defined ; They were giving people (mostly the poor) hopes of actualizing Biafra and building a paradise on earth. Now,this people are nursing this belief while they get killed and brutalized by the Nigerian police and army. Uwazuruike should be hanged. Obi had to get tough on them because they were beginning to form parallel government and extort money from unsuspecting locals in Onicha. In order for Anambra to build a thriving economic with great infrastructure, security of life property and investment massob needed to be crushed and buried. And thats exactly what Obi did and I applaud him for that.
I used to similarly hope on MASSOB to be a sort of military wing of our struggles inside Nigeria. for instance if a politician in APC insults the Igbo nation, MASSOB will declare such politicians banned from Igboland. But when they started counter productive actions and even stopping the 2006 census in Onitsha, Abakaliki and Umuahia instead of making sure everyone was counted, even when it was obvious other parts of Nigeria were counting their chickens and cows as humans, i lost every hope of the organization being of any strategic importance to the Igbo struggle. How hard is it for MASSOB to reason that federal allocation was based on the census? So it is better to give other parts of Nigeria what should duely belong to Igboland? Those phools are beyond pardon.
Abagworo: Lol. Stop joining the band wagon. I am a very responsible Igbo man to the core and highly pro-Igbo. The problem with Chino stems from the fact that I dislike and condemn Peter Obi for mainly killing Massob members just to appease non-Igbos.
Me join someone's wagon blindly? Think again! I am Igbo and i don't particularly like Massob because they don't believe in planned strategic actions. Everything is always adhoc. They wake up one morning and suddenly decide to do something funny. Therefore many times they perform actions which are counter productive to their goal or even childish in most cases. Like taking the Enugu radio station to broadcast they have formed republic of Biafra . Then come out of the radio station to be handcuffed and driven to Abuja because they have no plans whatsoever to defend what they declared. Such nuisances should be cleared.
You should stop setting up our boys. You have recently recruited B2Mario to join in your hate. Just leave Igbos alone. Stop scattering us by pitching us against eachother just to further APC agenda of breaking Igbo solidarity and unity.
Abagworo: You are wrong. I have never instigated anything at any time. If you think I did show me where. I treat every State same.
I would have posted your exact words right now and showed you the link. But, i just found out it was among the pages lost after the NL data loss.
You and Berem following Chino's constant posting of foul pictures he said he'd got from Owerri trip, declared that All of us should leave your thread. Besides, you guys started communicating only with each other ignoring those that failed to leave, like me. I eventually left the place disgusted at you people's shortsightedness. I don't need to recall all these because you guys doing the posting know what you said.
Wow! I always wondered what that building was. Thank you so much Centje!
The next viable thing would be to dualize that road up to trans-Ekulo where it joins the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.Perhaps also dualize the section from Abakpa to the expressway too.
You are right! Spyder's new estate is also along that road! That road has become a new axis of development in Enugu. A dual carriage way will accelerate development as traffic jams into the place will reduce.
Abagworo: On that same Enugu thread I once used Owerri median as a reference to that same Chime Avenue and got attacked and some even started claiming I was insinuating Owerri is better than Enugu. I guess if I had used Kigali, Sao Tome or Mogadishu it wouldnt have mattered to those people.
Abagworo, Your antecedents are well known in NL. First you are an Ikwere guy, then you instigated a war between Anambrans and Imo people luring Chino into your trap to post unprintable things about Ndi Imo. Therefore, your posts are full of suspicion because you are always up to something mischievous. In the Enugu thread, you have severally mentioned that Enugu is ugly and less developed compared to Owerri. Recently in Imo thread, you said only Owerri had street lights unlike Enugu. These statements were designed to cause war between Enugu and Imo people. Luckily there were no Chinos from Enugu State to take your bait.
For me, i am neither from Anambra nor Enugu. I simply have the best interest of Igboland at heart. My track record both in this thread or Enugu thread proves that. I could also have been active in Imo thread helping to proffer solutions, but in the height of your fights with Chino, you declared people should leave your thread. I have left that thread because you opened it. Unless you invite me back to it. If someone else had an Imo thread, i would have been very active there too. So bro, i no be you. I don't measure d.cks amongst Igbo states, i am simply concerned and completely committed towards the development of the SE.
centje: Very fine. I used phone to snap it, so I didn't really capture the beauty.
Bro, Thanks for your wonderful support of this thread. We owe it to you, slimthug and of course Oga Spyder for sustaining and constantly refreshing this thread. Thank you guys so very much for your wonderful effort
Where is the NCC zonal headquarters located in Enugu?
Enugu is finally living up to her destiny as the Premier planned city in Nigeria. Apart from Abuja, no other Nigerian city was planned from the scratch except Enugu. Every other place including Lagos developed out of existing unplanned towns or villages when those places were named "Capital".
ACM10: Why are u posting Enugu pics on Anambra thread? Why?
Bro, Enugu and Anambra are my homes. I will do whatever i deem right to support them. I know you are an Enugu guy and feel exasperated that i used the roundabout in Enugu as an example in Anambra thread. Similarly, i have used roundabouts and medians from Lagos, Nairobi and Kigali as examples to illustrate on how to make Chime avenue median can be made a sight to behold. Why didn't you complain then? Bro, see my pics on this page and you didn't say anything? https://www.nairaland.com/979128/enugu-pride-east/282#27608190
Look, I don't like myopic individuals of poor character. You should drop this clannish attitude. Igbo bu ofu!..and we need each other as Nigeria spoils for violence soon.
