PoliticsRe: Aregbesola Is Islamising Osun- CAN by cKaiser: 7:25pm On Oct 09, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: We'r talking about private Christian schools. The govt did not build the schools, neither is it paying the salaries of the staff. It is immoral to try to forcefully restructure christians schools that do not belong to the govt. Why cant the govt build its own schools and do whatever it wants with them?
Can you give us an example of this private Christian School that the govt isnt paying their staff but has taken over in Osun.

Obviously you are out of your depths and dont know what you talk about

These schools in question are missionary schools that have been taken over by govt since the 70's or early 80's

Yet you come here to spew trash

Its like someone saying St Finbarrs, CMS, Baptist College Obanikoro are not govt schools while Govt still pays the salaries of the staff
PoliticsRe: Aregbesola Is Islamising Osun- CAN by cKaiser: 7:00pm On Oct 09, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Those guys are shameless hypocrites. They all conveniently turned a blind eye to where it was stated that the state govt is trying destroy the structure of the Christian schools. Why is the state govt invading the Christian schools? The govt is to set the standards and monitor the private schools for compliance. Standards has nothing to do with trying to convert only girls schools to mixed schools forcefully. That has nothing to do with standards. If the govt is desirous of having mixed public schools, it should go ahead and build more public schools. Aregbe should leave the christian schools alone. He should take his Ifa subject and other indolatrous subjects elsewhere
^^ The girl only school, Is it not the govt paying the salary of the teachers there?

Or these Christian schools who is paying the salary of the staff and maintaining the structure

solomon111: only three states can survive without federal allocation?
Wrong.
Virtually all the states in the SE/SS who are either oil-producing or an agricultural powerhouse like ebonyi will thrive very well without federal allocation.
States that will not survive fiscal federalism are in the SW and the north.
Yet almost all SW states have more IGR and more GDP that the SE

Andre Uweh: Mr Aregbesola has a very good idea here. But it should not be introduced in secondary schools but in the universities in Osun state just like philosophy is introduced in secondary schools but in universities.
The state should lay more emphasis on those areas Tomakint earlier highlighted in this thread.
Can you explain to us why CRK and IRK should be taught in primary and secondary school but not IFA

Why not just tell the other states to expunged CRK and IRK from the curriculum too since Science should be more beneficial to pupils than learning about Bible and Koran

I have always opined that Ibos and Hausas are not any different in religious intolerance.

Just like An Hausa would attack anyone who practises anything other than Islam, An Ibo would attack anyone who doesnt practise Christianity

They deserve each other thats why they are always at each others neck like Slave and master

In Yorubaland all religions are welcome, In all families you have Christians, Moslems and Traditional worshippers
PoliticsRe: Who Is Most Achieved Politician In Nigeria History? by cKaiser: 6:35am On Oct 07, 2013
Preceedo: you are a yoruban. Choi, yoruba people are always sentimental. They believe whatever is not yoruba is not up to standard.

I choose Herbert Macaulay. Withou him. No political parties. No agggressive nationalism. And consequently no independence for Nigeria.

He laid the foundation for other politicians like ZIK, Ahmadu Bello, Awolowo built on.

Anybody to correct me?
You said he is sentimental because he chose Awolowo yet you ended up choosing Macaulay another Yoruba man

kaeto: the old lies your fathers tell still selling. No ethnic or religious sentiment yet the Igbos were denied an international airport, employment in government parastatals and ministries, no federal presence in the East of the south, oppression and supression by the use of the army and police, no Igbo man was qualified to head the army or police but now we are beating the best of you in open, free and fair competitions, oil wells shared among hausas and yorubas, only 1 Igbo minister (jim nwobodo-minister of sports) in abacha's regime, not even a functional airport, i see. The JONATHAN administration has come to stay- love or hate it, the guy has favoured the Igbos- hug transformer. Only a foolish Igbo man will believe what you wrote there, and be kind to come to your senses as this post will be your guide. It's tribalism only when perpetrated by Jonathan, God help you people.

PoliticsRe: National Confab: ACF Tackles Ohanaeze On Equal Representation by cKaiser: 7:58pm On Oct 04, 2013
Well detailed thought process

Our agenda for the confab --Afenifere

The Pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, also said that it is in the process of consulting with other regions to reach a consensus before the national conference commences.

Afenifere National Publicity Secretary, Mr Yinka Odumakin told Vanguard on telephone that it also intends to agitate for true federalism, parliamentary system of government and state police among others at the conference.

His words: "Processes will start across our region and we will collaborate with other regions that think like us so that we can harmonise our positions and ensure that this once in a life time opportunity, we do not miss it to give this country a good constitution. So consultations have started.

"Our agenda is very clear. We believe through this conference, we should save Nigeria from crash-landing and give Nigeria a soft-landing. We can forge an agenda for us to live in peace and harmony and our own response to the issue is that all delegates to the conference must first answer the question: Do we still want to live together as a people? If the answer is yes, then on what terms?

"For us in Afenifere, ours should be on the basis of federalism and once we agree that Nigeria should be a true Federal Republic of Nigeria, then the next thing to do is to draft a constitution that will spell out whether we want to continue to live together in harmony. As we speak now, all universities in Nigeria are under lock and key. If we have the six existing structures as regions and they manage the universities in their regions, there is no way ASUU will go on strike in the six regions at the same time."

Speaking further, the Afenifere spokesman said: "Under Obasanjo, we spent $16 billion on power and there is no light throughout Nigeria. If that $16 billion had been distributed throughout the six regions and each region had gone into different power projects, all the six could not have failed at the same time. This is what we mean by regionalism. Let everybody develop at their own pace and within their areas, let the federal be lean and the regions be strong. We also believe in Afenifere that this federal structure is too costly, it promotes a lot of corruption, we should go parliamentary. For us, federalism, parliamentary, state police, devolution of powers and derivation principles are the key issues that we believe that the national conference must address so that this country can regain its lost glory."
