Politics › Re: Eze Ndi Igbo In Lagos Reacts To Oba Of Lagos Anti-igbo Comment by Classicman47(m): 7:48pm On Apr 08, 2015 |
ayusco85: I think the Igbos should respect their host, and try and do what will bring peace and peaceful co-existence. No one will go to Aba or Onitsha and try to claim relevance or drag rights with the true indigenes of those areas. Lagos belongs to the Yoruba's, like it or not.

Politics › Re: “Every Ethnic Group Safe Under Me” - Ambode Disowns 'Die In The Lagoon" Speech by Classicman47(m): 9:24pm On Apr 06, 2015 |
For a Yoruba traditional leader who occupies a position that is supposed to be spiritual, to have made such a careless statement goes to show the level of hatred the Yorubas have for the Igbo tribe.
What is wrong with these guys? Why do they despise the Igbos this much? Is Igbo the only different tribe in Lagos state? Could it be because the Igbos are hard-working( and successful too, if i may add)? Are the Igbos also responsible for their laziness?
They should be ashamed of themselves!!! If they feel the Igbos are succeeding in their land, why not go to Igboland and work hard and succeed too? Who is stopping them? Shame on these God-forsaken lazy-ass tribe! |

Jk210: Well said Ambode
Oba Akiolu goofed and has been called out. Can we give it a rest already before the whole thing takes a dimension of Igbo vs Yoruba?
It's expected that PDP would milk this for all it's worth but we must not all get carried away. Other politicians and even our First Lady have made similar calls in the past. It only goes to show how uncouth with speech our leaders are.
It also points to the need for us to respect our host communities and not make them feel threathened. We all know that the leverage Igbo's enjoy in Lagos is not up to what other ethnic groups enjoy in the south east. JK started the ethnic politicking by courting the Igbos which was wrong. Igbo's should go out on Saturday and vote whoever they want.
So please enough of all these threads. Oga what leverage are you even talking about? |

No harm meant! I just felt we should get things in perspective, once in a while. The lady in question is obviously better than most. My apologies. Accepted Bro. |

internetpirate: Now, I will interject for the last time, and thereafter leave you to your folly! Essentially, the meaning of a word depends on the context in which it is used; however, words are used to reflect a meaning that is clear to the target audience! Other than that, you'd be rambling. An example is the word "gay"; this word actually meant "to be happy and joyous", but in an urban dictionary, it means to be a homosexual. So, if you say "I am feeling gay today" in 1920, you'd be conveying a pleasant image, but if you say you are feeling gay in 2015, your guess is as good as mine! Words are not just used for their face value or meaning!
In Nigerian urban english, there are some acceptable uses of words, and if that fails, please speak or write pidgin. I for one, believe that we should adopt pidgin as our lingua franca, because we all can speak it, it is rich, very descriptive and has a national spread of meaning.
Usuality is an archaic word, and not in common use. Thou art in motions that beggeth belief! (I hope you know all these are English words, and can be checked up too?) |

internetpirate: Learn to take corrections! Constructive criticisms help develop intelligent people! It's appalling that you went through secondary school and can still say "cousin brother". Like she said, it's "cousin"; if you want to differentiate further, you can say "male cousin". Thanks for taking the correction! well i see ur point but u guys need not go too hard. Nairaland is not as formal as u folks are making it out to be . And most of what we speak daily wether online or offline, is the Nigerian variant of the enlish language anyway, which is just as informal as can be. The minute she says "cousin brother" i think everyone immediately got what she meant because that is what we are used to. U did well by correcting her but there is no need to overflog this. Thanks |

Stop misinforming the public, we aren't kids no more. why do u find it dificult to believe the story?? cuz it didnt happen to u doesnt mean its not happening elsewhere. As for the young man wt the story, I cant even start to judge u cuz dat will only make me hypocritical. Truth is we knw how hard it is to leave a puss.y that u have bcum so used to and dat u can readily get without much of an effort. But for the sake of conscience, try and give her some space. during my final days in school, i met dis babe dat i used to knw. she was happy to see me again after all those yrs. incidentally she happened to be lonely at the time, so naturally it was very easy for us to re connect. fast forward a few days time and we are having intercourse wt reckless abandon...just like d Op said, i used to wonder if she does menstruate at all. it turns out dat she lies, keeps multiple partners and all dat but it was hard to leave her cuz i got carried away by the almost free vagina. Mostly i made love to her without protection. Long story short, in just a matter of weeks, i was treating myself of the dreaded staphyloccocus aureus.
my advice to yu my guy, its really hard to let her go cuz then u'd be letting all dat sexual adventure go to waste. yet its harder to keep her cuz no one wants to be wt a lying cheating partner (cuz even if sex is all there is to the relatnshp, u cant deny the existence of a little emotional attachmnt somtyms). dnt even mention dat u wnt to change her bcuz even u urself knw very well dat u cant. and u knw u cant marry such a person. so basically:
1. U can let her go and set ursef free, OR 2. U can go on wt her but u shld stop involving ursef emotionally wt her. Handle it more like a friend wt benefit kind of thing. One more thing; i knw u may like to skin dive but its wiser to use protection every time. Its cheaper than treating STI's (those kind of gals r nt disease free). Not to mention abortion if she gts pregnant. U'd be fine bro.
peace. |

I am all for couples not washing their dirty linens in public like this. What is the gain? You are only embarrassing yourself and people will not only laugh at her but even more at you. I hope they do not have kids because this is even worse. I don't know if it is grief that made him do this, but this is psychopathic. He should leave her alone and move on with his life. Why such a pathetic video? considering ur position on this matter, apparently u are even worse than the whorish wife in question. prove me wrong! |
