uniquechukwuma: HOLD BUHARI RESPONSIBLE IF NAIRA DEPRECIATES AGAINST DOLLARS – RENO OMOKRI CHARGES NIGERIANS
Former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Electronic Media, Reno Omokri, has called on Nigerians to hold President Muhammadu Buhari responsible if the naira suddenly starts depreciating.
The former Presidential aide noted that while Buhari was on his medical vacation in London, the naira appreciated from ₦520 to $1 to ₦455 to $1 under the leadership of the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
In a post on his Facebook page, the United States, US-based Pastor noted that should the naira depreciate, then Buhari is the problem.
He wrote: During President Muhammadu Buhari's absence, the Naira appreciated from ₦520 to $1 to ₦455 to $1 under Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo. Now that President Buhari is back, if the Naira suddenly starts to depreciate, then there can only be one conclusion: The problem is PMB himself. As Sir Walter Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes$ said 'when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth!'

Factfinder1: The former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode took to his social media page some weeks ago to reveal that there was more to the T.B. Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN’s collapse.
The former Minister who in his tweet pointed that there was an aircraft hovering over the building claimed that the aircraft had a thing to do with the church building collapse.
He further noted that he was going to reveal more as time goes by.
The revelation comes after the former minister had last year made shocking claims that some major plane crash in the country were the handiwork and master plan of some Nigerian leaders who needed blood to perform rituals.
Recall that the former Aviation minister had on his social media page written: “There are strong speculations that Prophet T.B. Joshua’s church was brought down by a remote-control device and not a faulty foundation.”
The Former aviation minister’s stand however comes shockingly in contrast to the legal case filed agaisnt the religious body by the Lagos state government.
Femi Fani Kayde in his revelations also made to reveal that the helicopter crash which resulted in the death of Kaduna Governor, Patrick Yakowa and Nigeria’s former national security advisor, Gen Azazi, in 2012 was a planned attack as he claimed the helicopter was “brought down by a similar device and by the same people.”
Femi Fani Kayode added: “They were inspired, sponsored and encouraged by certain forces from outside government.
“The objective was to weaken Jonathan and ultimately to get him out of power.”
Bringing the matter in relation to current happenings, the politician noted that the attack o Apostle Suleman was also an orchestrated attempt to drag the cleric’s name in the mud by the same group responsible for the previous attacks.

mokoshalb: Seventy-two hours after the communal clash in Ile -Ife, the last batch of Hausas residing in Sabo where the crisis took place have reportedly left the town.
This is in spite of the appeal from the Osun State Government and the Oni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Traders in the area have also been counting their losses after the mayhem as commercial activities still remain grounded.
The relocation of the Hausas is as a result of the bloody clash which left seven persons dead with several others injured in the ancient city of the state in Southwest Nigeria. Barely 24 hours after the incident, Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, imposed a two-day curfew in Ile Ife.
Spokesman for the Governor, Mr Semiu Okanlawon, said the decision was “compelled by the breach of the peace in the area which has led to avoidable destruction of lives and property”. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Aminu Koji, who confirmed the casualty figure to reporters, explained that the clash was caused by an altercation between a Yoruba woman and a Hausa man on Tuesday.
He said the situation was consequently brought under control on the directive of Oba Ogunwusi.
The DCP said the incident left many homeless while goods worth millions of Naira were destroyed.

morereb10: No mater what you think of him, he will always speak his mind in everything concerning Nigeria especially for the fact that he is not within reach to the DSS. Former Goodluck Jonathan's presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has asserted that Nigerians are against Muhammadu Buhari’s return to his position as President because the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo has “out-shined him.”
Buhari is currently on medical vacation in London, United Kingdom, UK which is indefinite for now because no date has been set for his return and following his departure, Nigerians had continued to commend the performance of the acting President for performance.
In a tweet on Reno's social media handle@renoomokri, the former Presidential aide wrote:
“Osinbajo has so outshined PMB that I honestly dont know if Nigerians will want to go back to PMB’s type of governance when he comes back!”
This is coming at the heels of commendation from the All Progressives Congress, APC, attributing Federal Government’s recent achievements in spite of President’s absence, to Osinbajo’s commitment and loyalty.
In a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, he said Osinbajo’s wisdom, vigour and innovativeness had been essential to the numerous achievements recorded by this administration. “At 60, Prof. Osinbajo has recorded several landmark achievements as a man of God and a man of the law,” it said.
The ruling party commended Buhari for the vision and wisdom in choosing Osinbajo as his running mate.

He has been attributing his leadership successes to Pres. Buhari so people don't create problems between both of them.
That's what he ought to do as the VP. He was far better than the Ghost VP we had under Jonathan and I have forgotten the VP under Yar'adua. He is wiser than Atiku too. Very correct analysis. |

DonLo: Shetima has shown gratitude and the tendency of being loyal. Bola Tinubu is indeed a man we should be grateful to because had it not be for his political wisdom, PDP would most likely be in power. One thing that separates him from the typical Nigerian politician is his ability to spot talents, supports them yet giving them the freedom to perform while keeping a distance without undue Godfatherism influence. Before the election, he was by far the most powerful person in APC whose influence won Buhari the primaries despite a more structured and funded campaign from Atiku. He is definitely the leader of the Yoruba, a position that should automatically have gone to Obasanjo having been a three time head of state. This further shows that leadership is not by position but your influence. Despite having last occupied an elective position 10 years ago, he still commands so much respect even more than the most recent head of state. Many would do anything to wane his power in APC, because a less powerful Tinubu the better for many. Call him anything, he remains a detribalise Nigerian, The Jagaban of Borgu. I strongly concur!!!! |

mykelmeezy: - Niger Delta militants under the aegis of Joint Revolutionary Council (JRC) say that Osinbajo's tour of some Niger Delta states would not have been successful without the contributions of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan
- The JRC said Jonathan’s earlier visit to Gbaramatu kingdom made the atmosphere conducive for Osinbajo’s arrive
- The group praised Jonathan for his statesman-like act and intelligence in handling affairs of the region
Jonathan made Osinbajo’s tour of Niger Delta a success by visiting Gbaramatu Kingdom in December 2016, says Niger Delta militants
A group of Niger Delta militants have said that the successful tour of some states in the region by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo was made possible by moves made earlier by former president Goodluck Jonathan.
According to the group called Joint Revolutionary Council (JRC), Jonathan’s earlier visit to Gbaramatu kingdom made the atmosphere conducive for Osinbajo’s arrive.
The Guardian reports that in a statement released by the JRC spokesperson Cynthia Whyte, the group said: “In the past few months, Osinbajo had said the right words and a good number of people in the Niger Delta have expressed satisfaction with his utterances. We will continue to watch with cautious optimism. We however, wonder: Where were all these intellect and wisdom when his principal was in the saddle?
Osinbajo (right) speaking with Rivers governor Nyesom Wike during a stop over at Port Harcourt Airport on his Niger Delta tour that has been widely applauded.
“It is important that we commend former president Jonathan for watering the ground before the trip by VP/AP Osinbajo. It was Goodluck Jonathan who made Osinbajo’s trip a success.”
The militants also claimed that Jonathan action of visiting Gbaramatu kingdom in December 2016 and his utterances created the right atmosphere for the warm reception Osinbajo got in the region.
The statement added: “In the past few months, he had said the right words and a good number of people in the Niger Delta have expressed satisfaction with his utterances. We will continue to watch with cautious optimism. We however, wonder: Where were all these intellect and wisdom when his principal was in the saddle?
“It is important that we commend former president Jonathan for watering the ground before the trip by VP/AP Osinbajo. It was Goodluck Jonathan who made Osinbajo’s trip a success.
“It is truly difficult to understand why a Goodluck Jonathan, whose tenure had been so vilified, wants to work for the success of the same people who have continued to try so hard to denigrate him. The Niger Delta may be angry with Goodluck Jonathan, but that same zone may erupt in violence because of Jonathan.”
Meanwhile, in another move to save his party, former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday, February 28, met with governors elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over the leadership crisis rocking the opposition.
According to reports, governors that attended the meeting included Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa); Ibrahim Dankwabo (Gombe); Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta); Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia); Dave Umahi (Ebonyi); Benedict Ayade (Cross River); Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom); Darius Ishaku (Taraba); Ayo Fayose (Ekiti); and the Deputy Governor of Rivers state, Ipalibo Banigo.
