He later took Billions of Naira as loan from Nigerian banks. The banks almost collapsed, if not for AMCON that paid the debt to the banks. Now AMCON is after him to pay back the loan he took.

He just can't resign like Sen. Akpabio... Sen. Akpabio is the leader of PDP senators and as such following his defection, he had to drop the post.. He cannot be an APC senator and remain leader of PDP senators.. Sen. Bukola Saraki on the other hand is not the senate majority leader ie he is not the leader of APC senators. He is the senate president in charge of all senators, both the ones in APC, PDP, APGA and any other party there is. As such he cannot just resign.
