Why does Nigeria make it so hard to register and company

Because we are a third world country and things have to be made hard so we can remain as third worlders

NAIJA'S WOULD NEVER STOP TO AMAE ONE, MUST WE ALWAYS SHOW OUR IGNORANCE ABOUT THINGS BEFORE WE THINK OF IT , WE ALWAYS LIKE TO DO ALL OURSELF, QUESTION IS Y ARE U ON THIS SITE Y NOT EQUALLY FLOAT UR OWN SITE BE UR OWN DOCTOR, ENGINEER, ARCHITECT ETChuhhuh

Omololu, that was a nice defence of the pastor, but its just possible that he run into the same issues as with the first wife. what would you advice him to do then, remarry a third time. Its also possible that in the next 5 years, something will come up again that will necessitate a 3rd wife.God help us oooo.
For a very long time now,,,I ve not commented on NL.I ve been priviledged to always check on NL everyday,,I ve also checked on this thread since the OP started it,,I ve read other peoples post as well. Howver, I refused to comment until this one.
Mr Omololu,, your position and thinking on this issue is wrong.Just like many bigots who ve said one thing or the other on this issue. The truth is that people should not dabble into issues that they have little or no knowledge about. Why do you think the reason for Ighodalo's divorce was his fault? Have you ever thought if the said marriage was contracted under God? was he a Christian whe he married to the said wife?
I ve always told people that I do not have regards for any Nigerian Pastors except for Tunde Bakare and Kumuyi. The same people who re now criticising Ighodalo,,were they not in his wedding ceremony? Was Pastor Adeboye not present in his wedding? Why was he allowed to continue as a pastor for 2yrs after his wedding? Why the sudden change that he should resign from being a pastor at RCCG?
The bottomline here is that RCCG is one organisation that is fast becoming some thing worst than celestial church,,,Study your Bible very well, Ighodalo hasn't done anything wrong scripturally. If you need help go study 1st Corinthians 15,,,and am sure you won't get it until I explain it to you.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

i really dont buy the doctrines of the RCCG but then if all the Pastors that be including the G.O and the elders, taking that Pastor Ituah was very popular within the fold attending his wedding eat, drank, wined and danced with the bride and groom, i find it rather ridiculous that the same peeps 2 years after were complaining, who amongst them can spend 1 year in full honesty to God without a woman in their life and not full around not to mention 10yrs, come to think of it the said 1st wife had moved on has kids so he should die an "unfulfilled man"

i had always wished he moved on, well setting up his own church i cant delibrate on, who says the "VIP" that attended could not have come cause of the wife, peeps 4get she's an event planner and they came to wish her n her hubby well, solidarity.

i said i wasn't gonna comment on this topic, because some Nigerians are just religious fanatics!
but much as being said by Tudor and the other posters about this topic!

having the opportunity to have lived in two foreign countries,i can categorically say that the way we perceive and practice christianity in 9ja is totally different,

my 'white' pastor has just one car and earns a wage paid by the church board (despite my church being one of the biggest church in that of the country). he is so approachable and open minded, he does not have bodyguards or chuch urchins following him around the place!

we seem to miss the point alot in Nigeria, show respect to 'men' of God, thatz fine!, but the fact is,are these so called men of God serving him?
thatz a question i can't answer for them!,

but,if the bible, says that we should live jesus lived, then these men of God should have a rethink!,
we should remove this veil from our eyes, and see what's happening around,
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

my broda pls tell them, i dont think they understand, tudor i believe has no grouse with GOD neither will GOD her have any with her, she merely has a disdain for our so-called men of God and their insatiable accumulation of earthly possessions, my God a gulf Stream IV @ N4B+ may God have mercy(ies), how many of the missionaries that brought us d teachings own a car we young folks will look at twice none i'd say, but today naija pastors have all the works on machines not just cars.

i ve gone thru several posts by tudor and co amongst whom i might be included and cant see any post demeaning GOD or his person, what they/we complained about is the rot in God's name, which so far no contrary post have been able to prove othrwise.

i guess no one said they cant be rich, super rich or even crazy wealthy, but how do/are their lieutenants fairing compared to even their kids who attend schools abroad, own designer shops and condo's abroad, that is the grouse that they/we need clarifications on, simple.

imagine a teenager at age 15yrs spending and bragging about how much $$$$$ he gets as allowancehuh?

lets sentiments aside, call a spade a spade they are not worthy of emulation, not to mention fellowership

@ tudor, '
snt it Ironic that these theiving bastards like Oyedepo, Adeboye and chris are all in one way beneficiaries of the work and selfless service of the early missonaries? Be it the free schools, free or cheap healthcare and so on?

all of our early schools and hospitals were founded by missionaries and they in no way had nothing close to the resources we find in churches today. Over 100 years later we still see the good works of the early missionaries no matter which part of the country you go to the schools and clinics still stand. The foundations they set still hold strong in most rural communities today.

100 friggn years and the fruits are still visible. You ask these numskulls to show you the societal welfare schemes of these mega-churches today you'll be lucky to get an address but if you ask for branches aka tithe collection depots then they'll begin rapping out locations like eminem.

It just goes to show you what people can achieve with the right attitude and selfless service towards humanity. Isnt that what christ taught?

The fools we have as 'men of god' these days just prefer to amass wealth and send idiotoc goons like tkb to come declare ''christianity is not for
destitutes''.  shame

This have always been the pain of many a Nigerian, who fortunately lived and grew up in the 70/80's. we have saint finbars, gregory, Methodists boys/girl, igbobi, baptist academy, anglican, catholic boys/girls schools [all of these were set up and funded by churches, didnt collected a dime from students] and so many i cant remember rite now, where many of us here and even our parents attend courtesy of those missionaries of years then,

which do we have now, the most expensive schools in naija today are church owned how many members of these churches can afford to attend these schools, atleast as bad as the police, army, navy airforce, civil service are they still admit there children and even dependent of their staffs into their schools without muchado, can we say the same of these modern day churches set-ups nooooooooooooooo, asked a young pastor friend sometime ago if he could afford to send his child to the school owned by the same church he  pastors and he laughed and say for where, nobody says pastors should be poor, but their members should also share in the supossed grace that they are benefiting from, its a pity naija's are so gullible a race.

@ Poster all in support of u;

Excuses, excuses, excuses. It is amusing reading the word 'superstitious' as if a belief in the efficacy of prayer is not superstitious. What a pity, all those 'prayer-hours' in churches and mosques all over the land wasted on a regular hours.
Prayers do not work - as for having faith - pastors pray everyday for Nigeria to become a decent place for its citizens to live. It has not happened yet. I assume that those pastors do not have faith.
Get real and get out there and do something positive.

hhhhmmm, its a real pity that a human being not just a naija man is posting this trash here, agreed you entitled to your opinion, that same way you should not despise others for their own belief, if you say and believe that pray does not work the Almighty God shall permanently NEVER allow it to work in any circumstances in your ignorant life, AMEN BY 1TRILLION TIMES.

the issue here are there pricing ok or not and 4 most comments here, hotel pricing in naija is critically on the high, fuel or no fuel.
TravelRe: Are Nigerian Hotels And Guest Houses Over-priced? by cliveland: 2:29pm On Jun 25, 2010
By far the most convincing of the most text here is by naijamama below.

I've stayed in some "no name" hotels and penzions in Europe whose architecture, decor, environment, services, etc will make the Abuja Hilton look like an Ajegunle shanty and whose room rates are like 10% of an average VI hotel. I think that it is the forces of demand and supply - for those who understand basic economics - that is at play rather than diesel and water. If diesel and water are so expensive to account for the high cost of Nija hotels then millions of ordinary Nigerians who provide these same services in their homes and offices all year round cannot afford them.

Recently I attended a conference and stayed in sea-side Resort (managed by Continental) in East Africa. The rates are far cheaper than some run-off the mill VI shanty hotels and yet they're fully booked. Another striking observation was that their guests were 99.9% foreigners mainly Westerners on holiday unlike in Nija where 95% of the guests are local looters and thieves. Another striking difference was that thro out my week long stay, the number of vehicles in the car parks were less than 5 at any given time. You'll be lucky if u ever find a parking space at Abuja Hilton or Sheraton where the thieves spend their loots and park all their cars.

It all boils down to supply and demand. Perhaps there are fewer hotels to meet an increasing demand. And what worries me the most is the poor architecture, design and decor of Nija hotels especiallly in Abuja. Those shanties cannot be allowed to stand in a society where there're building regulations. And yet they charge so much for so little. Diesel my foot.

we dont hotels/motels, what we have are just some hungry hustlers using govt as the cheap excuse for everything that does not work around us. b4 they went into the same business they knew what were lacking so cant complan later, like the above poster said its just cause those who patronise them are thieves who didnt earn the monies they pay there.

I must commend the poster for her compassion for a fellow Nigerian. I do not know about people in Canada, but as someone on a work visa here in the US, I was told I needed a transit visa to join a BA flight to Naija with my family last year.
I would have paid for the visa as I would have been reimbursed the cost by my company but for the fact that I know that there are other airlines whose countries do not require paying for transit visas for US visa holders/ or people whose final destinations are in the US.
The lesson in this story is for all of us to always ask before buying tickets for international travels. Like the saying goes, he who asks does not get lost.
It’s sad to hear about the lady’s story and this goes to show that it is not worth the stress that Nigerians go through just to have “citizen” children. The woman is away from loved ones and people who will pamper and care for her during pregnancy and after delivery. This is a time that she is in a vulnerable state emotionally and needs all the help she can get.
For someone whose husband is “doing well”, I do not understand why she will have to go through this stress to be in Canada in her state. If she cannot attend school as she has planned at the moment, her best bet would be to be with her husband in Naija, that is if he cannot be with her in Canada

i must commend the above poster and also i think Vcjustice, most times peeps buy and even sign critical documents without reading through small literature thoroughly am a Solicitor, i ve seen a lot, really the volcanic ash disrupted flights around euro n d best bet is something must have prompted the way the immigration guys reacted though am not taking sides, but u never can tell, most expecially as she had been denied visa once, all peeps ask qtns b4 u buy anything more importantly when u about leaving naija remembering that we got no responsible representaion outside our shores.

Sorry my sister at least the pregnancy was well catered for n its still there. The original poster should be also be commended for her kindheartedness.

as the supposed generation next, we should be sincere sometime with our desires, who can guarantee that the Igbos will ever get the chance to produce d next president if IBB gets in, huh??

the only way we can assure ourselves of tomorrow, i would never mind voting anyother northern/igbo/yoruba or tiv man/woman as president as long as some good will come of it.

naija is like 150-200m people, assuming we have like 75m northerners are they/we saying IBB is only one there, look at the way RIMI was killed to make way, we "youths" if we know the meaning of tomorrow should help protect it else there will be nothing to live for.

how many of us will have to travel out, go on exile, seek asylum, marry white woman for pally, haba.

to the so-called igbo campaingers, the southern naija is made up of several distinct personalities, namely, [yorubas, assuming they had their shot] igbos, ibibios, efiks, ijaws, deltans/edos, interestingly the igbos have just 4 states within this mix of 16 states is any1 sure that the igbos will definately get past eachother before they actually contend with others from the same zone? 4 against 12? not a maths person but sure that a hard call.

whilst i believe d most of "us" here on this platform were barely infants [if we/some even born] during and after the biafran/naija civil war, it saddens me that most of us only tell history to suit us, than research honestly about the real actors in the so-called battle field, for the record an akwa ibom man led the stupid fight after against naija army [General Phillip Effiong] till date am yet to be reminded of "any" igbo senior biafran army officer. moreso, the battalion was filed with so many south-south personnel, not Supposed Igbo Men, they all traitors and would ever remain so. while the "Ojukwu" was away at Ivory Coast enjoying his time/life

i have learnt to not get involve in petty issues of national discuss as these, but sometimes dis so called igbos noise makers will not let u be.

my only wish was that naija had allowed them to cede likewise other ethnic groups also stand alone i wonder what would have been the so-called igboman today.

like what we have of Great Britain today.

back to supposed original post, everyman is entitled to his/her choice, ojukwu inclusive, but, some people should lead by example atleast for posterity sake.

@ poster,

its a pity i still have a friend as urs that i broke up with, cos in her/my own case tried lying but i caught her, i club, party and get around a lot incidentally i dont smoke and still have lots of control over me, most likely she's a nympho and at the age she/u claim she is[half d babes in our higher institutions are, i hope i'll not be crucified for that ascertion].

it might take a much longer time to effectively change her perceptions to life, , easy money, sugardaddies, guys, boose, sex, etc. my "friend" even went for 3 months councelling at Redeemed camp for trouble young girls somewhere in Epe, she came back and went into it again, scares me sometimes even as a guy, i ve probably done shit stuffs, but i just thank God i didnt sink into it. the issue here, is simple, if you truly want her stick to her if shes honest about moving on start with changing her phone number thats her 1st link to her past, then after take each day as it comes but then u'll also have to be very strong, she get past it, it a phase in life except she's "caused" love is the most stupid feeling in the world but yet still the most wonderful!!!

my "friend" is gradually after almost 2years of shouting, swearing and threats that i'll never see her again adjusting with the real world.

BE STRONG !!!
