What is giving me hope now is that HCP said they did not hold AC last week, therefore we are in the 5th week. There is hope for the chill pillers. Thank God smiley... I will sleep well this week grin grin I have hope for the invite finally
I hate to be a kill joy and burst your bubble but you are wrong!

The AC process started the week of Monday - 12th June 2017. The email HCP sent us reads thus:

"Further to our earlier e-mail, the next phase of the recruitment process for the FirstBank 2017 GT Programme is set to begin. The process is scheduled to run in batches over the next six weeks; the first batch of candidates has been invited for this week."

That email was sent on Monday - 12th June 2017, the first batch had their AC that week signalling the first week of AC, and HCP stated AC would run for six weeks, from that week to this week removing last week makes it six weeks, so according to HCP's statement this week is the final 6th week of AC.

Except they wanna extend it or something. To be on the safe side please disturb HCP phone lines to schedule you, its better to be on the safe side o!

Information reaching me is that they are 5000 participants and only me and 499 more will scale through to the next stage grin. So if u have done ur AC na to dey pray oh and if you haven't na to work hard o. All the best to we all. Also the zoning thing still applies sha.
From VERY authentic sources, there are roughly 2500 participants in this AC stage, and of course quite some number will not turn up for AC for various reasons; those who got better jobs, those too busy in their present jobs, those who have left the country, those who financial constraints would stop them from making the Lagos trip, those who would miss because of clashing schedules, etc.

As regards your assurance of being shortlisted for the next stage, I'm with you on that one by God gracegrin While passing by the hostel area of First Academy during my Assessment, I had already futuristically picked my bed spot in my head from the rooms I saw while walking pass below grin

Ah! Sir, I was among the first peeps that applied this year. Faster than my shadow I must say. I made lots of error from this feedback. I used my NYSC discharge certificate as the recommendation letter and my peace corps deployment letter as my second recommendation letter. Please is it advisable to reapply? Or should I just hand it over to God? My motivation letter by the grace of God is OK.

God bless you.
I'm not an authority here but I don't think double applications go well with a recruitment process.

A recommendation letter is just like a "praise singing" letter from a present or past employer, or an institution with which you have had dealings with related to volunteering or developmental work. The letter explains why you are best suited for the position you are applying for, I'm sorry to say but stuff like NYSC certificate or Peace Corps deployment letter are NOT recommendation letters are they don't serve such a purpose. The NYSC and Peace Corp documents can be shown to prove you have had some related volunteering work experience but they don't do much in selling you as the best candidate for the job.

You mentioned God, nothing is impossible with him, although your document submissions are clearly not appropriate, God can still change things to your favour, dependent on your faith though.

What was the omission
Last year's application, we were given sections by section to give details of how best we are suited for the job role, my "motivation section" was literally empty and that's what got me denied for selection, I got this info from the feedback they sent to me.

Bros plz can u give us more hint on this info.... What type of recommendation letter did u use?
A well written and detailed recommendation explaining why I'm being recommended for the AU-YUC. I got it from the company were I used to work, they do rural campaign awareness for their youth empowerment programs and training, its not an NGO though, it a company but they source for youths to train. There are plenty other ways you can get a recommendation letter, even from a church. I can go on and on.

Also, its not just getting a recommendation letter, let the recommendation sell you off well to the Africa Union.

Then also, make sure your cover letter is top notch, make sure you take this section very very seriously if you want to be shortlisted.

AU-YVC is an experience to have I must say, I can remember those I met last year and 2 years ago who had the experience and its something to look forward to, and best of all is that this "job" opens doors to other bigger opportunities, most of them I know who came back are out of the country for bigger opportunities which AU-YVC platform made them take advantage of, places like Europe, America.

All the best to you all.

This year is my AU YVC year no doubt!

I applied last year, I wasn't selected but was given a feedback from them of how my application was 90% okay except the little omission which made my application not to be selected, this is one area Nigerian recruiters need to upgrade to, giving recruitment feedback. It would help candidates a lot.

Now with the feedback I got last year, my application this year is 100% on point by Gods grace.

For those who applied last year, you'd agree that the application process is a little different, but easier and if you'd find it quite of a free low kind of thing when you import last years' application insights.

AU YVC program is a very transparent process, and I commend them a lot for their professionalism over the years I have followed them.

I can't wait for August 15th 2017 for that congratulatory success mail.

Let the count down begin! 24 days to go!!! grin

Medicals and documentation in October? Dat means training school will be next year. Please how sure r u of the information
Like I said, from what I was told, medicals should be from October or if its early it would be September, and someone else collaborated this claim as well on this thread earlier when they asked HCP. Medicals and documentation doesn't take time, so training school could still start in November.

From the last FBN GTP, it was about a year after the announcement of the programme before they were called for medicals/documentation. And its takes just a month after medicals/documentation to be invited for training school.

And from the last recruitment, invitation for medicals/documentation were in batches, the programme was announced in May 2013, after aptitude test and AC, some got invited for medicals/documentation by february 24th 2014, others by March 10th 2014, others August 2014 and others October 2014. And then some more were still invited as far ahead as March 2015, two years after the announcement of the programme.

Let's just watch and see how this years recruitment would go.

Then some others attack her that she speaks too much English and all, is it a crime now to have a good command of English and a rich vocabulary?

Just concentrate on your other jobs or hustles as we await the call from First bank.

pls someone from Kaduna state and his based in Lagos, wrote is exam and ac in lagos.which zone will he be included?is it southwest or northwest.
From what I was told, the zoning refers to the geopolitical zone you come from(i.e your state of origin) and not exactly where you are resident.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by cloud9usher:
Most of what people who had their AC on 15th Saturday July said are all true and I don't really see much need to add, but if there is anything you wanna ask me then please do and I'd explain with all details necessary. Just quote me and ask anything you need clarifications on and I would duly attend to your request.

Also very important, my same source from First bank(a management staff) who told me about the inclusion of First bank service executives into the AC for those hoping to be converted to core staff also gave me some revealing information yesterday. He said the final list of those who would be called for medicals/documentation would also have to do with zoning and not just only on performance from the AC. I will explain further.

He said First bank won't only employ people from a particular geo-political zone because that won't be good for business, you need people from all over the federation and also need to have some significant number of people from a particular region being willing to go work in that region after training school, it would be easier for someone from Borno to agree to be posted to Borno branch after training school than it would be for a Lagosian to accept such posting and perform at his/her best in such an environment. Apart from language fluency, environmental awareness and familiarity would make the Borno candidate have more motivation to perform at his/her best there as opposed to a Lagosian.

Take for instance the cut off mark from AC to be qualified for training school is 70% assessment rating, and 90% of people who scored this percentage are from the South South zone, don't take it that First bank would invite all those South South geo-political zone candidates for training school because they represent 90% of candidates who passed AC stage, they would take just the top scoring candidates from that zone and also take other zones to make it even, so someone who scored 79% in AC might be dropped because of his/zone and someone who scored 70% would be selected because of his/zone. He even said sometimes a zone with low scoring candidates would have its benchmark reduced to fit in candidates from the zone. But of course, the percentage of selected candidates would be higher for zones with higher candidates as compared to other zones with lesser candidates.

So South West might take like 30% selection, South South 15%, South East 20%, North Central 13%, North West 17%, and North East 5%.

In a nutshell, to be safe, make sure you score high in your zone as regards your assessment centre rating, and of course zones with high level of competition would have more difficulty because of the competition, so he said just passing the cut off mark required for AC is not a guarantee for training school.

RomanceRe: Share Your BREAK-UP Experience Here For Others To Learn by cloud9usher:
I have read this thread from page 1-15 and I have had a filled day.

I hope guys are learning from all this, especially the popular trick girls now use: "I'm a virgin, so no sex"

You can check my profile and see the topic I wrote about issue.

Well, to my story, I haven't really had break ups while dating though, because I know how to systematically make things slow down and favourably for me is the fact that either distance, education, job, etc usually came between me and my girls and I would just slow things down with them, it won't be as if we really broke up but it would be clear we both can do things with serious people in our lives, and then there's that possibility that in the future if we still are ready we would hook up. Till date I'm still close with about 5 of my ex girlfriends.

But there is one girl whom gave me some heartache which molded me into the man I'm today.

While in University I met this lovely girl, my friends thought she was too good to be true and I can't get her, but I did! We got along well for like a year, but at the tail end I started noticing things about her which I suspected she was having something with another guy.

I uncovered some things like messages and her whereabouts but she always denied. I did my investigation and knew she was with an older dude, I just finished Uni and she was in 200, I understood she wanted to get married as she was a first child and around 24 years at then, and the guy around her was kind of comfortable, but this girl would always deny everything, that she still wants us together, I just wanted her to tell me the truth but she didn't and because I loved her deeply I kept enjoying while it last.

One day the dude picked my call and wanted to get all insultive, I calmed his hot head and he had some sense and said he knew about me too and that the girl told him I'm her ex but I don't wanna let her go. Can you see how girls could be so cunning? huh

I talked to the guy like a man and he had some sense and told me we all should meet to settle everything, even a day before we met I asked her about everything and she swore that there is nothing like that. So I met the dude and his guys and he brought this babe as well to the place, she was shocked I came, she didn't know smart guys were on her trail, that's how everything went down and her and she was exposed.

The dude thanked me like mad, because this was the same girl he was about to go for her traditional marriage in 2 weeks having seen her parents and all, and the icing on the cake was that the girl was a few weeks pregnant! This is the same girl who had sex with me like 2 weeks ago before the whole meeting as well, meaning between I and the guy she can't be so sure who really is the father of the child, fear women o! That's how men father kids who are not theirs.

The dude called off everything and that she must abort the pregnancy because he can't be sure the baby is his, I got to know about this through the lady though, because after the meeting I left and never contacted her because in the meeting she was forming that I'm her ex who doesn't wanna let her go so after the meeting I got up and left and never contacted her again.

The dude didn't marry this girl and she still aborted the pregnancy, she is 29 now and not still married, girls think they can eat their cake and have it. How sad! Like they always do, she still came back to me later on after the whole mess but we what I felt for her was gone.

I laugh at how guys fall for the "I'm a virgin, no sex" trick a lot, 90% of girls who use that trick are either not virgins or don't really like you that much but wanna keep you around and milk you dry financially and never let you taste intimacy with them as they don't see you as worth having it, and the goal of the trick is that you would get tired of waiting and would leave on your own.

After that episode with that girl, I got mature emotionally in handling ladies. There are good girls out there no doubt, but the majority are big scams and lying leeches! Fear women!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by cloud9usher:
I talked with a FBN management staff today, and he told me that FBN service executives were also included in the assessment centre stage, that means more competition from guys who are already in the system, so those of you yet to conduct your assessment, give in your very best because competition is high.

Someone was saying here about 2 pages back that he/she saw a lot of old looking faces conducting assessment and he/she was surprised, the age FBN stated in this years GTP was not to be more than 27 years as at December 2016 but he/she saw peeps more mature than this age range I presume, and now I understand why, this is because FBN included service executives to participate in this state as well.

Its not like anything fishy would happen though, service executives won't be given an upper hand or preferential treatment, they would be assessed like every other candidate, its just FBN's way of converting qualified service executives into core staff.

This shouldn't dampen anyone's spirit please, because as for me, by God's grace I will be in the next set of FBN training school graduates no doubt!

Calculate all the goals he has scored from 2014 to date and you'd see Kane, Ibrahimovic, Aguero, etc have not scored more than him. And you are talking about Ibra being highest goal scorer in League 1 as well, Lacazette was highest goal scorer as well 2 seasons ago in Ligue 1.

Define your relationship from the beginning so you won't have problem later. It's that simple.

If you want sex then look for a lady that wants sex. There are millions of them out there.
Dude you better think before you talk, this has nothing to do about "always complaining" as you put it.

How some of you reason is funny! grin
RomanceThe New Trend Of: "I'm A Virgin; No Sex Please" by cloud9usher(op):
Guys that are new to the game never learn and I feel so sad when guys keep messing up concerning this.

I laugh at guys who fall for this successful trick girls are using on guys, the "I'm a virgin; no sex" nonsense.

Let me give you the rational behind this trick. A girl knows if she tells you she doesn't want sex but has had sex before you might not wanna agree to it as you'd say someone else has had her so why can't she allow you as well.

So they come up with the "I'm a virgin; no sex" lie and this is perfect because the foundation of the lie is the virginity issue which she claims to hold on to and why she doesn't wanna have sex, and the only way you can know if its true is she letting you sleep with her which she can't because it would end her virgin status, so you as the guy is totally blindfolded here in abilities and the ball is in her court.

And of late girls do this for guys they are not really that crazy about or like that much, guys whom they just wanna run dry financially, because they won't give you sex and would keep milking you dry, its a win-win situation for them because you must keep spending on them or end the relationship by yourself, and they won't lose, and if you stay for long they know you'd get tired someday and leave as well, so can you see how this trick always favours them? Its a win-win situation for them. And most of these girls who say "no sex; I'm a virgin" are 90% NOT virgins, these type are usually so adamant never to change their stand because they know the day you sleep with them you'd discover their lies, so they keep milking you till you get tired and leave by your own accord.

You think with the high rise of girls now having the stand of "no sex" in a relationship means our churches are now working at their best which has made girls repent that much? Hell no! They just discovered a perfect way to have all the attention and care from guys but not lose in the end. These girls are not having this no sex stand on pure and sincere religious grounds but on sly and deceptive grounds.

Sly women are so cunning to know that a man whom you refuse intimacy would be more serious and eager to please you and care for all her needs, hoping he can convince her to change her mind on the "no sex" stand along the line but you'd keep at it till you get tired and she gains even if you leave.

Except that girl is less than 16 years, the possibility of her being a virgin is less 3%, so do the maths and tell me why lots of girls are now using the "No sex; I'm a virgin" trick? Lots of them are using it because their friends have told them the high success rate using it on guys who don't their onions in the game!

And the worst thing you'd do as a guy is fall in love with such a girl, I always tell my crew that the word "love" is so dynamic, the bitch you think you love so much now, you'd be shocked how you would love another woman more than her once you condition your mind to do so, get wise and stop being taken for granted by these leeches called girls.

Guys need to know the terrain they are threading on now. We guys call girls "fish brain" but don't know that even a fool can be smartly evil in deception when he/she sees a motivation. Girls have evolved and I laugh at the guys who fall for their gimmicks.

Get wiser guys!

The same way Theiry Henry was warming the Bench for David Trezeguet for French team back then, what later happened? Does it mean Henry being benched for Trezeguet back then meant Trezeguet became a better player than Henry? Henry went on to became the greatest French striker of all time!

Giroud is playing ahead of Lacazette because Giroud plays for Arsenal, there is no way you play first team football for Arsenal and don't make French first team, go and check your facts.

U don turn am to insult? Are you a teenager? Can't you have a decent conversation without any form of insult whatsoever? There are leagues and there are players. A league doesn't make a player. Players with their clubs make up a league. A Ronaldo, Suarez or Messi in French Ligue 1 can score as many as 50 goals per season. Some players are good enough to perform equally well in all the leagues. Mahrez wasn't even that spectacular in French Ligue 1, yet he made it big in England. My point is, using Lacazette's success in Ligue 1 as metric to shame other strikers that are plying their trades in bigger leagues is B. S. Most of the French players that Wenger signed in recent years were outright flops.
You type like a 6 year old and not even up to a teenager whom you referred me to.

I said you need to borrow some common sense because it seems you lack one!

First of all you back then you said French league is a mediocre league as compared to how Lacazette isn't much of a player because he scored goals in such a "mediocre" league, now you said above: "A league doesn't make a player." So if a league doesn't make a player why did you say the hogwash you said earlier? Please are you not contradicting yourself? huh

Lastly, I just gave you vivid examples of how the past 3 EPL players of the season all come from the French league, doesn't common sense tell you that Lacazette stands a good chance to shine in the EPL? Its no mistake he has been banging in goals more than ANY other player who came from France, no other player who came from France has scored as much as he, so you are telling me that the most prolific scorer to shine in France other than every other player who ever played there isn't top of his game? I laugh! grin

Tell me ANY player who has been more prolific than Lacazette in France.

All those stats were made while playing in a mediocre French Ligue 1. Morata/Lukaku would have equally scored as much goals in such a league. It's no biggy. Giroud was a star back then in the same league, same as Gomis. The fact still remains that Lacazette is more of a box striker/penalty taker. I love him, but Morata is more rounded than he is. Morata scored almost in every game he started for Madrid last season, even with the limited opportunities he was offered.
Same "mediocre" French league from which came all the last three best EPL players of the season right? Hazard, Mahrez and Kante respectively.

Go and borrow some common sense please!
