European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: FC Cologne Vs Arsenal : Europa League (1 - 0) On 23rd November 2017 by cloud9usher: 9:22pm On Nov 23, 2017
Before some blabbermouths spit out gibberish concerning Arsenal, please be informed that this match was USELESS to Arsenal, despite the loss, Arsenal is GUARANTEED top position in the group, even in the last group stage match if Arsenal loses by 999 goals to nothing, Arsenal is still GUARANTEED TOP POSITION IN THE GROUP.

Man Utd's loss and Liverpool's draw of yesterday have implications which dwell on them not toping their group for Man Utd and the possibility of Liverpool even not qualifying.

You didn't comprehend what he said.
what he means is that the online stores will increase the price with additional 70% then slash it by 50%....i.e the initial price will be intact, they will only slash d additional 70%by half.
700÷2=350
1000+350=N1,350.(black Friday price)
N1,000(normal day price)

Do u now understand? oya go n sin no more.
grin HOW FUNNY! Comprehension is really bereft of your reasoning! Let me help you with what he said again:

Youngzedd:
In Nigeria we have ScamFriday

It's funny that many will buy above normal price tomorrow.

Nigeria merchants will increase the price by 70% and slash it by 50%.

Una wehdon, I will only buy softwares abroad tomorrow.
First of all, "merchants" are sellers and not the online stores, and also, on Jumia and Konga, the online store DON'T set price for you, at best they suggest a discount campaign and ask merchants to join, which is ALWAYS optional. I'm talking from first hand information about selling and buying on online platforms. You think the products you see on Jumia and Konga are sold directly by Jumia/Konga? More than 95% are not. They are put up there by merchants like you are I using their platform to sell.

Lastly, go back to his comment and read it slowly, he talked about a direct 70% increment on price and 50% slash, and also, they is no way you increase the price of a product by direct 70% increment but then talk about a 50% slash and then it becomes only on the supposed 70% increment, what type of crude economics is that?

Dude your mathematical competence is pathetically poor!

I understand the point you are trying to make but I can't help but cringe at your mathematics skill and how you could lead young folks astray if they go with your dismal mathematical logic.

Take for instance a product is N1,000. Going by your logic, they increase it by 70% which rises to N1,700 right?

Now slash N1,700 by 50% as according to your logic, you are left with only N850 for the product as opposed to the original price of N1,000 for the product, and going by your logic the seller has LOST! Going by that, its a huge discount for the buyer, buying a product which costs N1,000 for N850.You now see my point?

Think things through before your make a submission, especially concerning mathematics and simple calculations.

Tecno are pathetic manipulators, just buy the Tecno CX or CX Air for 50k less than this Phantom and be rest assured to have a good phone for your money.

Its plain ignorance to spend over 100k for a phone without a second hand value, no OS updates and other camera gimmicks which can't be compared to other flagships of big players. And have Tecno not heard about bezelless phones? Over 100k for a phone with bezel? Oh please!

Christianity EtcRe: Church And The Deception Of The Media - By Leke Beecroft by cloud9usher:
Look here, no one is fighting the church, people are only asking valid questions, and its normal, as long as those heading churches are humans its only normal to keep a check on them, even the Bible said that in the last days there would be a lot of false prophets, so you feel no one should talk about the church or ask questions especially when its clear some have turned the work of God into a business?

This write up of yours is as a result of the tithe issue going on now.

I have some questions about this tithing issue:
-Tithing was a law under Moses law. Are we still under the law of Moses? Tithing was a Jewish Church custom, why do pastors of present only pick tithing and not practising the other numerous Jewish customs as well?

-Tithes were for the Levites, are pastors from the tribe of Levi as well? Are we not the Gentiles?

-Levites were not allowed to have land or property and hence tithes was suppose to be for their up keep, why do pastors of now own property and lands and private jets and still collect tithes?

-When Abraham paid tithe, he did it just once! The Israelites paid tithes once from a years harvest, and then after 3 years, so where in the Bible did our present pastors get it that tithes should be paid monthly?

-The apostles who founded churches across the world back then, why didn't ANY of them including Jesus collect tithes? Back then Jesus himself paid tax to the government when he sent for a coin to be collected from a fish to pay his tax, yet he never collected any tithe, our pastors don't pay tax, yet they collect tithes which Jesus and his disciples never did, why is this so?

-Why do our pastors find it so hard to back up their argument about tithing with biblical scriptures?

Jesus always preached about love and giving to the poor and even rebuked the Jews back then that tithing is a less important thing and they should concentrate on more important things like love.

To me, what I give out is usually higher than even 10% of tithe. So are you telling me that its better I gave out 10% for tithe and expect blessings and not help those I supported financially? A relative asked me for help so she can complete her school fees, a friend who is unemployed asked that I help him with some cash as he is broke, what I spent is even more than tithe. A very hard working lady close to my office who hawks water told me how she needed money to upgrade her services, I gave her some cash and promised to add more when I can. I was coming from work some nights ago and I met a woman whom I have never seen before, she stopped me and asked that I help her with some money so her and her kids can eat that night, I gave her most of the money on me and only remained the money I would need for transportation the next day. Similarly, while passing through a restaurant, a young man walked to me and asked that I buy food for him and his sister, I happily helped out, that is the love God was talking about.

There is no way you can be under any curse as erroneously said if you don't tithe, just make sure you help your fellow brothers/sisters, and do it in love and you would surely prosper! Most of the richest people in the world are not even practicing Christians let alone tithers. Now because of this free money of tithes, lots of fake pastors have come out as weeds to benefit from this.

As for me I prefer giving more than my 10% to my fellow people in need than paying tithe. Just work hard, love God, love your neighbour, give to those in need whenever the opportunity arises, and nothing would stop you from prospering in life, nothing has stopped me, your case can't be different either.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Application For US Federal Employment (DS – 174) Form by cloud9usher: 10:34pm On Oct 25, 2017
Hello everyone,

I filled the form recently when a new position was advertised, I got a reply in the form of an invitation for a test at the US embassy about 3 weeks ago. I even created a thread here on Nairaland concerning that.

I think you might not be filling the form correctly or your skills/competence don't fit the job role. The form needs a lot of time and effort to fill I must say. Applying to the US embassy isn't the regular type of crap Nigerian employers put up.

Hello cloud. You didn't specify the source of your info. You've contributed to this thread just like every well-meaning F.B. hopeful but there is need to make an exemption in your latest post. Using such extreme words as lying to qualify a particular source of information does not bid well to the variety of information we are allowed to source from. Two un-related people hinted the T.S. resuming next year and you, perhaps unconsciously, branded it a lie.

For those who have had medicals(which are in the majority viewing this thread as of now), they were given 6 H.R. numbers they can easily contact for information verification. At this stage, those two(have done medicals) have more credible info than most. Such words, going forward, can hamper the freedom and variety we all are craving for.
Dude, please try to slowly read through my comment before you start trying so hard to bask in the ambience of your supposed wittiness okay? If you do that then you'd be able to comprehend things easier and faster.

Go to my comment and read again, the word in bold is succinct enough as I didn't use complex syntax nor morpheme to pass my message across.

Good day,

I don't have any competent information regarding that at the moment, if anyone tells you that he/she knows exact details of dates concerning training school cutting across all batches that would pass through training school for this recruitment then the person is lying, FBN at the moment is in a lot of makeshift/impromptu decisions concerning recruitment, lots of internal strategic human capital bureaucracy going on, so the best bet is just to sit back and see how things play out.
In case you still don't understand I would say it again: "No one knows EXACT details of dates concerning training school cutting across all batches that would pass through training school for this recruitment..."

I never said those who said training school would be by January 8th 2018 are lying, the best information going around now are speculation, intelligent guesses and futuristic analysis, no one knows the exact date for training school for we regular graduate training intake because there are a lot of human capital uncertainties going on at the moment at FBN, training school might happen in January 2018 as speculated, it might happen before the year 2017 runs out, it might even go beyond January 2018 and hence my affirmation that no one knows the exact date as at present.

Cheers!

I was told that FBN changes the age requirement as a way to reduce the number of successful applicants. How this is done is what I don't know. Maybe by training school or the employment itself.
Even without digging further to authenticate the veracity of what you just said; I beg to differ; because your assertion is utterly counterproductive!

Why would FBN adopt the best means of testing and assessing candidates to assess their level of competence and then drop some along the way ON PURPOSE as a result of an age benchmark which FBN itself set in the first place? Isn't the aim of FBN to recruit the best of the best? And isn't the requisite age bracket suitable for candidates not put into consideration before pegging an age range in the recruitment requirements? huh

The word "counterproductive" means: "tending to hinder or act against the achievement of an aim." That's exactly what you are saying here and to me it doesn't make any sense. huh

Good evening everyone, considering the uncertainty surrounding the resumption of FBN training school for those who have had documentation and medicals,is it advisable for one to pick up a new job even if the offer is nowhere close to likely terms of FBN for GTs while waiting FBN?And we all know resumption for training school whenever it's going to be could likely be urgent meaning less time to officially resign properly. This is URGENT guys.
Please don't let FBN hold you hostage to your career goals, even if that job is paying peanuts; take it to keep yourself busy, earn some cash along the way and some experience as well.

I don't see much of an issue dropping the job if FBN comes calling anytime soon, if FBN comes calling like pretty soon, then it wouldn't be difficult leaving the new job as you just started and if FBN takes a long time before they come calling then its better you look back and feel happy that you didn't waste months waiting for FBN and being idle for nothing. just take the new job because its a win-win situation here.

The first rule of success is to have a target! But keep firing from all angles, one of your shots might be the killer! ... So never be held hostage by just one job offer you are waiting on.

Hello,

From the stated age requirement for this particular recruitment, it reads: "Not more than 27 years old by December 2016"

You stated that your friend was born in 1988, and if you calculate that, as at December 2016, your friend MUST have clocked 28 years, and I'm sorry to say that disqualifies him/her.

I always had stated here how FBN holds WAEC sacrosanct as it is used as the sole document to verify real age.

Good day guys,

I applied for a position at the US embassy Abuja sometime ago and their Human Resources department recently invited me for an "English Language Placement Test."

I know the test would basically be out to test me on grammar, lexis, syntax, etc; for consideration for the job role, but I need have first-hand information about how job processes go at the US embassy. The position I'm being considered for is a mid level position.

I have done some searching online but came up with little competent information, so I brought it here; hoping anyone who has ever had job related tests and interviews at the US embassy or anyone presently working at the US embassy can help.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Don't think so, some things are nt just right. Don't think it will be commercially viable for a real DSTV competitor to be that ridiculously cheap. Premiership broadcast right don't come cheap likewise other premium content on DSTV. Its like somebody promising u a car brand with all d luxuries and goodies in a BMW 7 Series at a price of KIA Picanto. We shouldn't forget so soon the jokers called HITV.

But how I wish it was possible..
Can people like you just shut up if you are not informed enough? Jeez! Ignorance at its peak!

You said: "Don't think it will be commercially viable for a real DSTV competitor to be that ridiculously cheap. Premiership broadcast right don't come cheap..."

I laugh at your ignorance! You think because DSTV are milking Nigerians dry you feel it okay for pay TV to be expensive right? Can you remember how MTN way back were stealing from Nigerians? There was no per second call billing, you call for 5 seconds and you are charged for 1 minute, if you recharge 1K you must use the airtime within a week or else the credit floats, and SIM cards were sold for 25K, etc, what happened when other networks came? Competition changed everything, what is happening now?

Now let me enlighten your parochial mind, premiership broadcast is not expensive! Over here in the south south part of Nigeria, we have been enjoying premiership coverage on BeIn sports for over 3 years now, we watch it on CTL pay TV platform and it cost just N3150 monthly for the full bouquet of all channels.
TSTV has all of the BeIn sports channels meaning you can watch ANY match in ANY league in the world.

In sub sahara Africa, SuperSport, Kwese Sports and Canal+ have the rights to show the EPL and TSTV also has Kwese Sports and Canal+ channels. You can Google about the channels that have EPL rights, it's not only SuperSport.

You all thought watching EPL is expensive because greedy DSTV were milking us dry and that era is over!
