I applied as well. From their Faceboook page they haven't confirmed if a list of successful candidates has be released neither has successful candidates been contacted. They just stated the fact that selection was made on the 21st of September. Lots of people asked questions on the post on Facebook but no reply was given from AU, I presume they haven't concluded yet.

They stated that training for the successful candidates starts in October, they didn't state a date though.

@ Babacele, I can't rule out corruption but I beg to defer from your assertion, I know someone who applied 2 years ago, he didn't know anyone in The African Union, he was just a fresh NYSC graduate who had done basic developmental work during his NYSC days and he got selected, just like that!

Let's take the average of what you intend to pay, which is N40,000 a month. Calculate that, that's like a paltry N285 for one article. Like seriously? N285 for an original content? The masturbation issue has been heavily debated on both religious and health grounds.

On religious grounds there is no clear cut evidence of it being a sin or something. In masturbation to some point sometimes guilt is felt after the act, and so some religious school of thought would relate that to be sinful.

On health grounds, its said to be very beneficial to some extent.

On personal grounds, if you masturbate and you lose your self esteem and all then it means you really need to stop.

But generally, I rarely get the reason for how masturbation makes someone lose self esteem. Having low self confidence or chronic depression is the root cause, which most times is the driving force which leads someone into masturbation and the person masturbates to have an escape. Take for instance, when I'm tired or psychologically stressed, I listen to music, music is my escape and it cools me down and I think right. Same thing here, if you have a root problem of low self esteem or chronic depression and you don't tackle it then you are in for it, when you are at your low it can push you to masturbate, and as the low self esteem and chronic depression issue keeps coming up you would keep masturbating. My point here is that masturbation isn't the root cause of low self esteem. That's why most people who masturbate find it hard to stop, because they don't tackle the low self esteem or depression issue but keep hitting on the masturbation issue alone, as a result the circle continues.

When I was 18, I bought two sticks of cigarettes and sat alone and finished them, I sat back and was disappointed, I was like ... "So this is the rubbish they call cigarettes?, something which just made my breath feel so bad and I literally was just drawing smoke inside my body?" That was the last time I EVER tasted a stick of cigarette.

My decision of taking only 3 cans of beer back then has followed me through life, I NEVER drink more than 3 bottles of beer or more than a bottle of an alcoholic red wine at a time, and I NEVER do more than 2 drinking sessions in a week, sometimes it takes over 5 weeks after the last drinking session before I taste alcohol again.

Now I know you must be wondering why I brought the issue of cigarettes and alcohol here, I did that to explain what I call "self control" and "self consciousness of your actions"

For me and over 90 percent of men who after puberty always try masturbation at some point or the other, masturbation for me back then was something to discover my sexuality, I started having sex around 17 and I knew I was a rookie at it, masturbation for me helped me prolong my sex time and have extra sexual stamina as I discovered sex. I never took it as an addiction, and apart from personal will power I had the internet to help and when I read masturbation could be addictive I took masturbation as a brief education class and I NEVER masturbated more than once a week.

As time passed by, I didn't have need for masturbation any longer, it just faded away on its on, I was still in the University by then and very young still but it just faded away, maybe because I took my relationship(s) as at then with the girl(s) I was dating as more important and had gained all sexual experience I needed.

Now my point is this, there are lots of folks out there who tasted a cigarette like me and got addicted to it and have wrecked their lives and health as a result, dying of cancer of lungs. There are folks out there who tasted alcohol and have totally rendered themselves useless to the society as they became drunkards and some have died as a result of kidney or liver problems associated with chronic drunkards.

Everything boils down to self control! And its because of the self control issue which I would not advise anyone to try masturbation, because I have learnt that most humans lack self control a lot! For me, self control is kind of inborn, because I can easily snap out of an angry mood within seconds all because I can tell myself that the issue isn't worth changing my handsome face all because another human feels he can provoke me to anger.

So since masturbation is addictive and lots of humans lack self control, I think every young man should run away from it. If you are too sexually hyperactive, please get a girlfriend or get married fast!

Lastly, the OP ought to seek medical help concerning his joystick problems, I'm not a doctor and can't really offer much help regards that.
