Misterdhee1:
I am not a fan of any EPL team, but boss, Lacazette is not any better than Morata. Lacazette is more of a box striker. Even as a barca fan, i respect Morata's ability in the No 9 position. I can't say the same for Lukaku tho.
Please talk based on facts, since 2014 to date, Lacazette has scored more goals that Benzema, Giroud, Martial and Griezeman as compared individually, meaning he is the most prolific French striker since 2014 to date!

So what ability are you talking about Morata having which Lacazette doesn't? Lacazette is faster, he is stronger, Lacazette is a better dribbler and has almost double figures above Morata in conversion rate, so please tell me the facts that make you claim Morata is better. And lest I forget, Lacazette has scored tonnes of goals more than Morata can dream of scoring!
SportsRe: Arsenal Signs Alexandre Lacazette For Record Fee (Photos) by cloud9usher:
ITS OFFICIAL!!!!!

https://www.arsenal.com/news/alexandre-lacazette-agrees-join-arsenal

Even without champions league we got him!
Best Ligue 1 player 2 seasons ago;
Top League 1 goal scorer 2 seasons ago;
2nd top goal scorer in Ligue 1 last season;
And best French goal scorer in amount of goals scored in the last 3 years

All that and we got him at a fair price. I laugh at Chelsea, Man Utd begging to pay 80 million pounds upwards for the likes of Morata and Lukaku who are not even at his level yet! grin

Since 2014 to date, Lacazette has scored more goals that Benzema, Giroud, Martial and Griezeman as compared individually, meaning he is the most prolific French striker!

Same thing for Aguero, Kane and Ibrahimovic, Lacazette has scored more goals than all of them from 2014 season to date, go and check!

And for those that would say he is from the French league which doesn't produce good players, please be reminded that the last 3 EPL players of the season all came from the French league, namely: Hazard, Mahrez and Kante.

Next season prepare to hear this from commentator Peter Drury: "Alex Iwobi outruns Kante and sends a pass to Alex Chamberlain who dribbles Willian and passes it to Alexis, Alexis then sends a through ball to Alex Lacazette who smashes it in the net beyond the reach of Courtois, and its 3-0 at half time again to Arsenal just like they trashed Chelsea last season in the same style" grin grin grin

ADEWUMIMichael your analysis is so wrong!

You stated that HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) has Maximum Download Speed of 0.9 MB/s, take a look at my download speed while using my "small" Blackberry Bold 6, you can see speeds reaching 1.7MB/s when I was downloading on HSPA (3G) mode. The EDGE mode showing in the photo is after I switched from HSPA (3G) to EDGE and screen shoot my download page.

I wrote my first WASSCE and I didn't make physics and maths but the DOB is very correct. When I resat, they made a mistake in my DOB. If I use the first one that has less than 5 credits but correct DOB, are u sure I will b considered?
I think the benchmark for most firms is that you have 5 credits not for more than two sittings, so you can present the two WAEC results but everything would depend on the age on the two results, if the first result has a more older DOB than the second result then I'd be normal to understand its really a mistake, you'd just need to also provide a formal evidence to show you have written to WAEC for the correction, but if in the second result your DOB is less older than the first result then it would be suspected you got another result just to reduce your age or used the situation of re-siting for the subjects you didn't pass to reduce your age from your original age in the first result.

Hey Guys!! I decided to Check the thread for 2013 Recruitment Exercise ...

https://www.nairaland.com/1291773/first-bank-graduate-trainee-recruitment/78

I understand successful Applicants will have to Submit these Credentials for Documentation,

1.Birth certificate/age declaration from local ,state or federal hospitals only.no private hospitals
2.SSCE cert with date of birth on it.
3.Bsc cert/notification of result wit registra signature on it
4.NYSC cert.

Also 1) NYSC discharge/exemption.
2) Government marriage certificate for married ladies.
3) Sworn declaration of name for those that have changed their names
.

My Question is Will NECO Certificate Still be accepted Since There is No Date of Birth On it...
(Btw, I have a Waec Cert. Just that there is error on the DOB on it, and i didn't make all compulsory subjects)
From what I know about bank recruitment and being in the system I can tell you that banks DON'T PLAY WITH WAEC!

Even if you have 9 F9's in WAEC they wanna see, even if its NECO result you used to gain admission in school they still wanna see your WAEC result, and I'm not talking about external WAEC, WASSCE and SSCE is what banks honour, i.e June/July regular SS3 WAEC/NECO.

And do you know why banks don't play with WAEC result? Because that's the only tool they use to check mate those you play pranks with their date of birth, and that's what banks use to know a candidates real age. NECO doesn't have it date of birth. They care about WAEC because, by the time most of us were registering for WAEC/NECO in SS3 we never had motives of faking our real ages like we do later in life, so that's why banks don't mess around with WAEC just to verify your age, birth certificates and declaration of age are just mere documents which they collect, its that WAEC that's their focal point.

Sometimes candidates wanna be smart and come up with the usual story of "WAEC made a mistake on my date of birth on my WAEC certificate", you would need to provide evidence like a letter which you sent to WAEC where you stated this and applied for correction and this has to be long ago and not during the process of that particular job application, they would check the date for your application to WAEC for change. And even when you provide such evidence, your chances of getting the job is very slim, that's when you would see people who were not called for documentation earlier would be called just to replace people who have WAEC date of birth issues, you'd have to be the very 5% top of the best of the best candidates to be considered for recruitment with evidence of your earlier complaint to WAEC for date of birth correction, I'm speaking from direct experience concerning this and I know a whole lot about it.

now you stopped the face book rant. that is your own post, you have learnt and don't want to admit it. Why have you stopped your Mark's rant. Angel investors are strangers in most cases.... key point should be, let your instinct guide you. Have you learnt something different now??
What is this dude still saying? So in every of my post I should mention Mark Zukerberg case? I already made my point concerning the Facebook suit and if you don't wanna see my point you can shut up and go your way.

majekdom2:
Oga, you are the ignorant one here, you cannot patent an idea... u just repeated that at the second bolded. Mark wasn't the brain behind the idea i.e socialising and networking over the internet. he only had a better process and mode of execution and that's what matters Hi5 existed before facebook, myspace too. It was all similar idea. There is whatsapp, we chat, viber... similar idea but different business models. Yahoo existed before google, where are they today?? There is nothing as a unique idea in 2017. Only unique processes and business models.... you got that!! No one is advising sharing ideas to just anyone, you came impulsive with your post.
You write like a child and hence your comprehension is like that of a child as well, for the umpteenth time I will tell you again that I never told you that you can patent an idea, you can patent a process, method or product which starts as an idea first. And such ideas you can't give out your idea to a stranger.

majekdom2:
go read and learn. Loads of ignorant peeps that aren't ever ready to learn. You cannot patent an idea, you can only patent a PRODUCT. There is a wide difference between an idea and product. Having an idea does not equal success. Your idea is promising only to yourself, it may look like rubbish to the next person. When your idea has gone to the product stage and probably generating customers, you can talk about not disclosing info. Why do you think the same mark's friend lost.
Comprehension is your problem, did I tell you that you need to patent an idea? I only told you that patents exist because people wanna protect their idea which starts firstly as an idea and then becomes a process, method or product which always originally starts as an idea. The example I gave you about Mark Zukerberg is a perfect example of why you don't share a promising business idea to just anybody.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Will Invest In Your Idea...2-5million. High Priority.. by cloud9usher: 6:31pm On Jun 24, 2017
majekdom2:
@ first bolded, an idea is only promising if there are paying customers. If there are none, it's as useless as the next piece of trash. This is 2017, someone is thinking of your idea somewhere.
@ second bolded, likes of hi5, myspace, netlog e.t.c came on before, same and after facebook. Where are they today?? You can have a good idea but a bad model and execution process thus your business will not scale. At the time of billgates microsoft, there were other brands. If you have the opportunity to meet investors, they will ask you how many people you have told about your idea that week, if you tell them none they will see you as a loser. Change your mentality. No one can steal your idea because your passion can't be stolen.. thats what matters most.
You are so ignorant of a lot of things, why do you think patents exist? They exist to safeguard ideas which you have that no one else has, why do you think classmates of Mark Zukerberg sued him over Facebook saying the idea of Facebook had their input as well and he doesn't deserve to call it his very own and claim full ownership, you can google more about that.

No one discloses a promising business idea to a random stranger through an email, only an ignorant fellow would do that.

Ezenwata is a transport company in Lagos that has his park (just like many others) in Maza Maza. DIRECTION: Board a bus at Maza Maza bus stop to Orile. It's hundred (#100) Naira. Stop at Orile bus stop and ask any bike man to take you to Rex Hotel at 43 Coker Street. This may cost additional #100 or #50 depending on the person. Remember: you can go to First Academy first in order to be certain that you are not misled. Orile bus stop to First is #100. I hope this will help you.
Thanks a lot for the valuable information.

Hey future colleague. I arrived Lagos this morning from PH via Ezenwata. Right now, I'm in Rex hotel, 43 Comer Street, Orile. The distance to First Academy is five minutes or less on bike. A room without A/C ranges from 3000 to 5000. A room with A/C ranges from 4000 to ... depending on the size.
You are far too kind, thanks a lot. But please pardon my being a little bit confused here, is "Ezenwata" a park in Lagos or a transport company? And please give me a description of your route from the park you dropped at Lagos to how you arrived at Rex hotel at Orile, that would help a lot. I would be coming from Uyo. Thanks a lot.

Quick tip: Please download the taxify app it would make your trips cheaper rather than using random cabs. Also the Mtn Data service at the airport is poor. So make provision for using another network to order a cab. Glo provides WiFi at the airport the cheapest data they can offer is N200 about 500MB. Taxify charged me N1250 which considering the distance I don't think I could get better. There is this hotel called Emota Paradise Hotel at Olufemi Samson Street, Ilesamaja, the Standard rooms are N5000 and it isn't far from the venue, though I don't think it's a trekking distance. There is Vintage Suites too on Ojuelegba Suruelere 15 Akinhanmi street the Standard rooms go for N7500. The bus park at Jibowu is also around these area so is First Academy.
Good luck to all writing today myself included.
Thanks for the heads up. Please can we get directions on how to get to the hotel location if someone enters Lagos newly via road and not airport, what route do we follow to get to any of these hotels? And please if you have contact details of any of these hotels it would still be well appreciated. Thanks a lot.

These processes are pretty for formality sake. No one is really expected to fail them except they don swear for you.
grin "formality sake" you say? Its like you don't know what a management trainee recruitment is all about, assessment center is meant to sieve out the very best from the best, even basic contract jobs go through aptitude test and then interviews which are never mere formalities as people are still dropped, but I would wanna fantasize in your assertion though, knowing for sure admission into training school is 100% grin

Someone said a HCP resource person told him that just 12% of us that wrote the aptitude test qualified for AC and First Bank has capacity to employ all of us, First Bank Nigeria you guys should just invite all of us to training school na smiley We promise to be all good in training school okay? grin

In my mind I have been doing some rough maths of how many we are, let's say because there was a criteria of 27 years limit(as at Dec 2016) and the fact that some people who don't like bank jobs; let's say 70,000 people applied, then 7,000 were invited for aptitude test, 6,000 wrote the test and 1,000 missed the test. 12% of 6,000 is 720 who are invited for AC.

How many branches including head office does FBN have? Roughly 700 new management trainees fresh from training school can easily be absorbed nationwide can't it? Invite all of us 12% that passed aptitude test to training school jor! grin

*only fantasising o!* grin

What if this dude is some random guy looking for promising business ideas and just wanna steal your idea and use it?

You send your well thought out business to a random email and never hear from him or he tells you that yours wasn't good enough and goes on and makes use of it, how would you know?

Business ideas are not something to just give to any random guy on the internet, the likes of Mark Zukerburg or Bill Gates would be nobodies today if they didn't guard their ideas.

For all I care this dude could just seat back and expect emails and pick any idea he likes and not contact you guys, what a free and effortless way to gain from the brain work of others.

From my findings about hotels within the AC venue, they are quite on the high side for the average job seeker, but for those who have assessment tomorrow and already in Lagos or on your way you guys can book a hotel using Jumia Travel which is currently offering a 50% discount on all hotels. So for a hotel that charges like N15,000 you'd just pay N7,500 and Jumia would pay the rest. No need for worries as I have been using Jumia Travel hotel booking service for my travels for over 6 months now and its totally hassle free.

The 50% off code is- EIDNG50. Just input that code when confirming your booking.

It expires soon though, just hours from now. Good luck to everyone travelling or already in Lagos awaiting tomorrow's assessment.

That line doesn't even make any sense.

Its people prerogative to reveal or not reveal what they earn to the general public, except under oath.

Enough with the comparison to developed countries already, even there people don't reveal their salaries.

If you want to know what first bank pays, go and do your research, you obviously don't read because I had posted the information here a few pages back.

Keep up with your slight its of no consequence to me. Have a good day yourself.
So the line: "If everybody in the world happen to reason like you, trekking will still be the fastest means of transportation" doesn't make sense to you? grin I'm not surprised that line doesn't make sense to you, I'm not surprised at all! Jeez!

You claim developed countries don't reveal their salaries, I laugh! Go to job portals in the US or UK and check, even the job adverts state the exact salaries, so what are you saying please? huh

All this talk about something that if you properly research you will find the information you are looking for.The guy Ay you say is using a "crude and condescending" behavior doesnt even work with the bank and probably doesn't have the information you seek.
If you wanna tell everyone your salary its your personal prerogative, some other people may not be so disposed as alot of people think its a personal information for obvious reasons someone has stated.
The people on this thread don't work for First bank but are rather seeking the employment, so its only normal that most of them don't know that the remuneration is, if you really do want to know what first bank pays go and do your research and stop wasting your time typing Shit here.
Look here, if basic and elementary comprehension is your problem you need to go back to primary school and brush it up.

My disgust at the elusive manner at which we handle salary issues was a general outlook at the entire issue and you can read where I kept on stating- "we Nigerians," I wasn't directing anything directly to the AY guy. And you claim facts about salaries are online if you research, dude or miss, those are basically assumptions and usual guesswork.

Its annoying that in my country salary is a guesswork when developed countries have gone past that stage, and yet we want to develop.

If everybody in the world happen to reason like you, trekking will still be the fastest means of transportation. And you said I'm typing poo, its you who should stop wasting his/her time typing the drivel you typed. Have a great weekend okay?

Hello guys

To those asking if I am in FBN... I think I have answered that already in my initial post.

How much FBN pays for new entry. Salary is not static and could change any moment. Let's worry about salary after you have passed the AC.

For directions. Your best way in is through Costain. From Costain take Keke going to Eric Moore. Drop at FirstBank. Tell the Keke Man. It's very popular.

Good luck to the First batch. Wishing you success.
Why is it that in Nigeria we make it so much of an issue just to state salary? huh

This is a faceless forum and no one knows you so why do people still find it hard to state exact salary which would help others in making decisions?

I still find it hard why we Nigerians act this crude and conservative even when there is no need to be, the way Nigerians hide salaries even on faceless forums you'd think there is something more special to it. If its a face to face thing I'd understand because some people don't want you to know their financial status - be it small or big, and hence get very protective over it, that still is not worth it to me though.

Ay4sho, you have been helpful but please stop using this condescending and crude demeanour Nigerians and Nigerian employers are used to of saying salary can be known after you are employed already, we need to stop this. What type of country is this? huh Something as professional as salary is made to look like a behind doors secret sexual activity
that only a selected few should know.

In saner countries, salaries are even stated on the job advert. I don't blame Nigerians though, it because of the high unemployment that make them treat people this way, and its because of it that many job seekers under value themselves as well.

Whenever you ask a Nigerian about the salary of a firm, they would either lie, or give one excuse of why its supposedly not defined, you'd start hearing complex explanations of how its this and that, is it that hard to state that- "As for mine, I was paid N180,000 as an entry level staff after training school", is that so hard to state?

Mind you, those who wanna get an exact picture of salaries of a specific organisation are not "greedy" and wanting to talk more about money first before the job but some of them want to compare salary structure to enable them compare other job offers to decide which to go for.

I sign off here, those that want to continue mystifying salaries you guys can carry on, but as for me I will never, even where I work at the moment I state it, and when I get this First Bank offer of employment I would equally state it to help others.
RomanceRe: Why You Should Never Tolerate A Cheating Partner by cloud9usher: 6:36am On Jun 15, 2017
I agree, here are my reasons why its not really worth it forgiving a woman who cheats:

Before a woman allows a man sleep with her, the below two reasons are responsible:

1- She is cheap and promiscuous, a lady who is naturally a prostitute doesn't need any reason to sleep with any man whom she want to sleep with.

2- She has developed some level of emotional attachment to the man she allowed to sleep with her, a lady whom has high standards and is not a prostitute must have developed some level of feelings for you before she allows you sleep with her, be it by accident or on purpose.

That said, you can see that from these two reasons, when you find a woman cheating you better let her go, because she is either a prostitute (which you should thank your God for exposing her real self to you) or she has already developed feelings for the other guy, don't ever fight for a woman when she developed feelings for a new guy, your actions would only annoy her further, a woman's mindset is wired in a way that she would feel more intoxicated by the new feelings she is feeling from the new guy and your actions would be seen as some sort of disturbance.

JarusHub when you said: "See past Mock ACs we organized" I thought we would see a thread having Nairalanders attest to the success of your mock ACs but what you posted are just mere links to where you previously posted your adverts for mock ACs on those particular recruitment threads.

In regards the argument about 'have' and 'has' in the HCP email, I think HCP is correct.

Even Microsoft Word flagged "The first batch of candidates has been invited for this week" as correct and "The first batch of candidates have been invited for this week" as incorrect grammar. You can find the photo attached. Sometimes in English, because it sounds better doesn't make it grammatically correct.

Sorzy1 thanks for the correction, you are on point, and to Mush, thanks for your input as well but I think HCP were right, I think they definitely typed this out on Microsoft Word first and it didn't flag it as incorrect grammar and they went with it.

And to you Niyinficient, I laugh at your parochial mentality, carry on! You really have a lot to learn grin
