I loosened the wipers and plastic panel under the windscreen and can see this puddle.
It seems the drain there is blocked, causing a puddle to stand which might be causing the water to get into the passenger compartment?

valarinz: Immo box is inside the car, under the dash below the steering wheel I've seen the immobilizer box and there's water on it. |

Okay I've opened the roof water passage (going from sunroof to sidewall (loosened that panel with the handle) and they aren't blocked, or blocked anymore, I blew air through to be sure on both sides. I forgot to test with water before doing it but the water I pour on the roof now drains to the ground. Could it be coming in through windscreen? valarinz: Get a panel beater to clear your roof water passage, it's most likely blocked by debris, reason why water enters your car via the frame.
What i think you should do now is get the immobilizer box out and blow it dry, then fix the water leakage and hope no permanent damage has already occurred to the immobilizer |

Culture › Re: About The Surnames Of Rivers State Indigenes by cluewebhost(m): 10:18am On Sep 05, 2020 |
MrOjay1: I've noticed the for a long time now that many Rivers state indigenes bear westernized surnames like Blankson, Douglas, Perricosta, Souza, Graham, Peterson, McColumbus, etc.
I have seen indigenes of Rivers who bear the above listed surnames alongside other ones too numerous to mention. Was there any kind of foreign culture influx in Rivers State that influenced these surnames?? Or have they just been bearing these kind of surnames right from inception?
I need opinions on this. Missionaries and traders first landed here and locals would usually take their names as a sign of friendship (I wonder why Europeans didn't take the names of the locals). You'd notice the same in some Lagos names too. |

Yes o, I actually delayed my trip because of it. I was meant to leave early the next morning but took the car to plaza in the morning but by then everything had cleared and they scanned and said no codes stored. It was almost at Benin when rain started I noticed the water dripping down (and this morning too). I removed the battery terminals since morning pending any solution. valarinz: Most likely, you have water in your immobilizer box, located directly below your steering wheel.
You shouldn't have left Lagos with that anomaly, now it's going to be more expensive to bring you a solution |
Car Talk › Where To Buy Genuine ATF Dexron VI/JWS 3309/volvo 116540 In Port Harcourt by cluewebhost(op): 9:10am On Sep 05, 2020 |
I need to get Genuine ATF (Dexron 6) matching JWS 3309 or Volvo 116540 specifications.
I've been to most of the filling stations around me and they only have Dexron 3.
I've been to Ikokwu parts market this morning, seen a few, but can't really trust any because I know a lot of times different stuff gets poured into original containers.
I need a recommendation for a seller/distributor who stocks above.
I need it today. |

Second Issue, After the car was first washed in Lagos I parked it and locked, when I came down the rear and brake lights along with one of the headlamps was stuck on, when I tried driving it I'd a lot of error messages come up which cleared by the next morning. Driving from Lagos it started raining heavily halfway through the journey and I noticed water dripping on my feet. When I parked both front footwells were completely soaked. It's raining this morning and now both back lights and the brake lights are on, This means water is getting into the car somehow and it's touching something it shouldn't. I've disconnected to battery to avoid any issue/drain. Google says something about sunroof drains which I would check today too but who has experienced something like this? How was it solved? cluewebhost: So I finally drove my xc90 3.2l home yesterday (story behind it is for another day).
Big thanks to Valarinz for connecting me to the technician that got it down to Lagos and got everything back in working order.
Now my issue (I'm not used to Auto transmissions so forgive the descriptions ).
Driving from Ogun to Ladipo with the car, it moved smoothly.
On getting to Lagos, I decided to change all fluids (didn't find service manual) and was told I should just top up the transmission fluid (I can't remember the name of the fluid used but 5l in a white gallon and black/orange label I think I remember German something written on it, it cost 12k).
Driving from Lagos to Port Harcourt I started noticing hard shifting, like while driving once in a while it lurches and makes a loud "gbim"sound when shifting, then for a few km it's okay then after a while it does the same thing again.
Has anyone else experienced this?
How was it solved?

Midoda: Anything German i am fine.provided it is the recommended weight The issue then should be the mixing, I'm just seeing in the manual that different transmission fluids shouldn't be mixed. I'd have it drained and refilled with 7l of the recommended (jws 3309) oil this weekend and report any findings. |

MASTAkiLLAh: you should have first of all asked Valarinz to recommend ATF for your transmission before doing anything. He’s very easy and ready to interact/give advice as I’ve also called him a couple of times. You might have to drain out whatever you put in that transmission... “Might” I know, he was really helpful in getting the car from where it was to where it is now but I don't enjoy bothering people all the time. I told them to use the same transmission oil he uses and they brought that one. I'm thinking either what was inside should have been drained first or the quantity isn't enough but need confirmation as I'm just a few days in owning the car. |

ostechno: I have a question about vps or dedicated server Hosting I'm new to it. If I'm to run a software on a VP or dedicated server. Do I need my data to run the software. I mean the software requires internet connection to work, can I run the software virtually even without my data or when my computer is not working? The vps is like a second computer on another network. Once you login remotely to your vps and set it up, as long as you don't turn it off whatever software you put on it would run 24/7 without your data. The only time you'd use data is the little to login and monitor. What sort of software do you plan on running? It might be better to get a Windows vps with rdp access if it is a Windows software so the interface would be familiar since you're new to it |

I've one that refused to start.
When you turn the key the ignition comes up but it doesn't crank.
I pulled the fuses and now it I hear a spinning sound when I turn the key but it doesn't crank/the engine doesn't turn so I believe the starter is the issue. |
