Uyi213: Hi guys, I've been on this trend and every info has been helpful. Now I have my own problem. I drive a 2004 accord commonly called EOD
The car is great and never gives me problem but the issue is, each has time I switch my AC on, my rpm goes down and the engine becomes sluggish which makes the car to jack as if it's going to go off on me. And it often times goes off which I have to restart the car. And it’s happens in traffic all d time
I decided it's probably because my engine power was low so I told my mechanic to beef up the engine power. Lo and behold, same problem. As soon as I try to move, the rpm goes down. It runs fine when I'm on a good speed tho but the problem is when I'm in traffic and I have to be slow. Everything shakes and I always end up turning of the AC
Please guys, what could be the problem. I've met with so many kazeems over this issue and all they tell me is either change plugs or fuel pump.
I've done all that before.
No changes.
I'll really appreciate any solution or advice. Thanks
Update on this Spent a whole day with the panelbeater and after the front seats, mats and trims were removed, still no resolution (at least got the chance to take out the CEM and clean the corrosion on it with isopropyl alcohol and dry which has cleared all the errors and gotten everything that stopped working back functioning)
That weekend, I took the driver side A pillar trim out again, then went to a vulcanizer to have them pump air down the exit grommet
Its rained heavily about 4 times since then, not a drop of water in the car, Still observing though, would take it to a car wash too and check if the pressure wash brings up anything but so far it appears issue is fixed
For anyone suffering the same thing
cluewebhost: Is it possible water can come in through the cover of the immo box?
The other drainage issues have been resolved but it rained heavily last night and the alarm went off, radio started playing, etc.
There is water on the CEM again.
I called a volvo person this morning and he has no idea were else it can be coming from too.
What's the cost of a replacement motor on one of these?
dru23: We at dru23 present to you 1 OF 3 2007 Hyundai Veracruz ...
The Veracruz was built as a luxury suv to compete with likes of the Rx350 and Toyota Highlander .. This was built for luxury comfort without shelling out big bucks .. So if you are in the market for suv ,look no further...
This is a better Suv than Xc90 , Ford edge etc. The only competition this vechicle has is an Rx350 .. Lovely vechicle.. It is in good shape and high ground clearance is high enough to navigate bad roads either in the east or Lagos bad road.. The tires alone are worth over 300k naira.. It comes with all terrain tires ,prefect for off-road trips and normal road ......
Our asking price is 3m naira .So come on down and take a look.... I was so impressed with Suv , I had to buy it three of them.. Keep in mind this is a clean title....
GreaterFuture: What are the differences between these very similar Vehicle types From the same Manufacturer? Car Gurus
The Tundra carries a smoother, less fussed style, even while crowned by a huge chrome grille, perhaps contributing to its weight of 2560kg, 600kg heavier than the Hilux.
The Tundra is almost six metres long and two metres wide, sits 1930mm high and has 264mm ground clearance. The Hilux is just more than five metres long and 1860mm high with 210mm of clearance; it’s also narrower in the body at 1835mm.
All this translates to a bigger cargo tray for the Tundra with a 1.69m long by 1.68m wide bed (1.27m between the wheel arches) which has a damped tailgate that opens and closes with a soft touch. The Hilux tub is 1.52m long and 1.5m wide. Its tailgate opens, drops and shuts with a bang the Hilux is rated to carry 835kg, well ahead of the Tundra’s 705kg but it wins points back with a towing capacity of 4000kg, compared to the Japanese-built Hilux’s 2500kg tow load. A 5.7 litre petrol V8 with a slick six-speed auto is always going to beat a four-cylinder diesel with five-speed auto in delivering road speed. The three-litre Hilux motor is smooth enough, an honest worker on the highway or through the bush. The Tundra’s engine, as found in the Lexus LX570, is a top performer for a commercial vehicle, running sweet at about 1800rpm for an effortless 100km/h with plenty left to overtake and the auto box is slicker than the one found in the SR5.
Neither motor is troubled finding decent torque on dirt or tar, there’s just an extra 200Nm of it from the V8, which means it’s easier to keep up with, or clear of, the traffic.
