There are potholes and really dirty places in the UK and US too. Same as there are really clean places without potholes in Nigeria. Newman20: Chai How I wish I could find 14 million at one of my people's place. I go just take am leave this country .
Abeg if the police aren't using the money they should give it to me .
MODIFIED: For those telling me to stay in Nigeria I would like to say that it's not only the money that matters but also the place where it is spent. For example why would I stay in Nigeria with all our bad roads and traffic and be satisfied with the fact that I have 14 million. When I can just go to US or UK where the roads are good, the environment is clean and I'll still be much richer than the average person. After all 14 million dollars is not small money.
Ponder that |

Your child would resent you for a long time for this.
Keeping it won't force you to give the same or even celebrate when it's your turn if you don't want to.
Teach your children to be confident and comfortable in the midst of plenty not intimidated because you sound really intimidated |

Jennito: 08089473940. Add me up.
I want a volvo but peeps keeps discouraging me. I like the xc90 but friends are shouting about fuel maintenence and affordability and availability of its spare parts. I want to be educated about the car and I hope to buy one before end of September, God willing. The same people that were discouraging me before I got mine want to buy the same car now. The parts (apart from body parts -- do comprehensive insurance) are cheap and available (can always be waybilled by night bus from Lagos if not in your area), If you buy a good one you'd only do routine maintenance for a long time (use recommended fluids) I don't pay attention to fuel when I drive so no idea but I don't buy much more than when I use a 4cyl car, Car is built like a tank and really solid, Buy the one with the 3.2l engine, it has a lot less complaints online and co. If your friends never used the car before trying to put it down their opinions don't matter. |

Is it possible water can come in through the cover of the immo box?
The other drainage issues have been resolved but it rained heavily last night and the alarm went off, radio started playing, etc.
There is water on the CEM again.
I called a volvo person this morning and he has no idea were else it can be coming from too. |

AshipaEk0: what do you need the engine serial for?
use your VIN for registration and whatever it is you are trying to do
Unless you are ready to pull out your engine you are on a long thing, its stamped on the engine block underneath and also on a sticker under the timing belt cover
Oga calm down.
Have you checked the fuses? open the fuse box beside the steering wheel and look at the fuses if they are still ok
no dey too screwdriver and spanner happy o. - Ah, I'd use the VIN jare. I was asking because I've had a car where I used the VIN as engine number and I kept being delayed by our "friends" on interstate trips when using it. - I've checked all the fuses and they're okay, there's a 25a fuse by the door and 5a fuse under the dashboard that controls it, I checked them even replaced to be double sure but no difference. |

Okay problem 2 (or 3?)
xc90 3.2l
The passenger power seat controls and 12v socket on the dash no longer work.
They worked perfectly before.
Googling tells me that there is a relay inside the immobilizer box that needs to be replaced (no courage to go there)
Anyone experienced this before?
Also where is the Engine serial number located in the 3.2l? |

Blockage solved That drain under the windscreen was blocked totally with mud, allowing water to sit which was getting into the screws over the Immo box without gaskets. I've unblocked one and drying out the Immo box, Unblocking the other then I'd pour the 2nd bucket of water to see if water still gets in the footwell. I didn't find the gaskets so I kazeemized them using the rubber from some old suspension parts and my drill Seems I'd have to go get who'd take off my mats and clean out all the water under |
Car Talk › Re: Thread For Volvo Car Owners/lovers by cluewebhost(m): 12:26pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
This is turning to DIY Saturday So I've loosened the wiper motor and that black plastic cover over the Immo box, 2 of the screws are without the rubber gasket. I'm suspecting the water in on the immobilizer box might be as a result of these missing gaskets. I'd go to the parts market now if I can find them. Then look for who can unclog those drainage holes I found under the windscreen I feel when water collects there it rises and pours into that big air intake (or so) and floods the passenger compartment from there.
