He believes and prays that God will one day send his heavenly politicians to take over the affairs of the Nigeria.

Ordinary Nigerians suffering from your ineffective governance are also praying for YOU- President and Vice President, to lead the country well.
In short, if you do the right things, it will be an answered prayer for many Nigerians

Properties › Re: Two-storey Accident And Emergency Building In FMC Umuahia Collapses (VIDEO) by Cmanforall: 3:44pm On May 20, 2021
Metrix147:
A two-storey modern Accident and Emergency building under construction at Federal Medical Centre, FMC Umuahia Abia State has collapsed, ABN TV reports.

The building ABN TV gathered collapsed at about 1am on Thursday.

Our correspondent learnt that no human casualty was recorded.

Speaking with newsmen on the development Thursday, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi expressed gratitude to God that no life was lost at the incident.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkJHGPZyQO8
He however expressed sadness that at a time when there is a growing economic crisis in the country, such a loss is incurred, maintaining that lean available resources does not accommodate for waste of resources.

According to Prof. Onyebuchi, the contractor handling the modern Accident and Emergency building has not executed similar project in the hospital before.

The project awarded in 2019 was at the plastering stage when the unfortunate incident happened.

He said he is not in a position to give information on the cause of the building collapse, adding that the consultant and the contractor will make available such information subsequently.

The affected area has since been cordoned off.

"I have a mixed feeling to it. I thank God no life was lost. We have scarce resources in the country at the moment. We should be having value for money.

"So if anything like this has happened, I feel sad that the scarce resources that we have is going this way.

"We are looking at it. It just happened. We are going to have several meetings on this and find out what has gone wrong so that we can prevent that from happening again. We have learnt a lesson from that.

"The building is still under construction and has not been handed over to us. So it's still with the people handling it. Assuming it was handed over to us, then the patients and staff are there, then it collapses and kill people. I thank God no life was lost. We will see and get to the bottom of what has happened" he said.

The contractor and supervisor were yet to arrive the scene of the building collapse as at the moment of this report.

If this had been completed,
Accident and Emergency building collapsing on patients that are there for emergency?
Oh No!
The contractor should answer to this. Is he using substandard products or cutting corners to maximise gains?

I hope no life was lost

The full weight of the law should be followed. NONSENSE!

If Nigerians can carry themselves high and know they are 'better' than these Lebanese who usually parade themselves as Whites with help of the government and politicians.

I recall one Syrian that admired my Nike footwear, after other Nigerians showed interest in it.
He was doubtful and wanted to satisfy his curiosity (I was on low-key). He asked to see it and thereafter he said it's 'Nigerian fake'. I just smiled. That Nike was straight from Nike shop abroad.

I don see anybody credible enough to win any election in Anambra using APC as a platform.
It seems it's because the Federal ruling party must field in a candidate for the gubernatorial elections.
Otherwise, the candidatures of Soludo and Maduka provide the necessary competition towards a better Anambra state. Other candidates can cut down their expenses by supporting either of the two.

Nwakali is a very talented midfielder who's sadly having a retrogression in his young footballing career... Maybe he made some wrong choices regarding the clubs he chose to play for, but I will advise him to first of all get a good club that would help him revamp his dying career and strive to be that creative midfielder we appreciated at the U-17 world cup 2015 before switching allegiance.

I prefer him more than the dancing dreadlock artist called Iwobi and I would love to see him represent us in various competition.

No, you don't get it.

It's better you have your country no matter how small than considering using same European-instilled structure that created Nigeria to create a South-South country. Moreover, look at the map, and tell me how Edo state is more South-South than Abia State geographically.
The population of Iceland for instance is about 350,000, so small nations can be formed

All I have to say is that the tribes/people that comprise the Niger Delta( SS actually) ' must watch their back and never allow the " We the SE/SE " to take advantage of them, rule over them, or rule over them within or without Nigeria lest they are swallowed up along with their God-given natural resources and wealth. No one has the right to decide for them, tell them what they are or not- it's insulting and downgrading to say to them that who is, what's SS, some part of their lands belongs to certain people which is a common saying and provocative words among ibo group of people especially here on NL.

Those people have every right to live and be who they choose to be...with, and not be looked down on as if they are some sort of weakening or people without origin.

I stand with the people of SS . cool
I rest my case.

Edited. cool
By the way, Ibos are just like the SS people comprising of various tribes, below is confirmed

https://www.nairaland.com/6539762/all-tribes-southeast-nigeria

Thanks.
Those are called Geopolitical zones for a reason. This creation has made , for example, an Ikwere man to see an Igbo man more of an enemy because the latter does not belong to South-South, despite both being neighbours. Because of the 'South-South' created by some people in power (and not the forefathers of the different ethnic groups) to probably create discord with the Igbos; thus, Binni man is considered more as a brother to same Ikwere man just because they are in the virtual entrapment of the so called Geopolitical zone.
Should Nigeria divide with NigerDelta having their country, from the look of things the emerging country will be as present Nigeria. There will be much power tussle and the unification in language will pose a challenge.
In developed countries, for example Germany, there are regions that still have their dialects different from Deutsch. For example, the Bavaria core indigenes speak differently, but that doesn't take away German as their official language. What will be the official language for the South-South?
However, if Nigerians division will bring peace without bloodshed, then so be it, irrespective of the number of pieces it splits.

If truly insecurity is the reason.

Where is Falseprophet?
What do you see?

Today, all regions in Nigeria now understand how the census figures are manipulated. There was one man, chairman of National Population Commission, that tried to expose this and he was sacked! (I can't remember under whose regime). Who remembers?

If you do census today, the figure will be more than 400million. Southern states must have learnt how to shoot up figures by now, not only the north.
Bayelsa will not have less than 6million. Borno will have more than 15million (despite the insurgencies).
Will Boko Haram members be counted?

All Nigerien (Niger Republic) living close to Katsina will cross over to be counted.

I hope whenever next census is done, it will be credible.

sad Good day Nairalanders

I came here to report a very big problem that should be addressed by the school authority or the state Government.
School resumption is slated for 10th May for returning students and I just went to my portal now to pay my fees . What I saw was far from shocking as the school has added ridiculous fees to milk the student community dry embarassed angry
What is portal access feehuh
Sports feehuh
I can't get my hand on all the screenshot but this is bad for struggling students.
My total school fees is now 90k
This is unacceptable cry
But 90k for a University education is okay and cheap.

The thing that should be encouraged if University fees are high, say above 350k, is scholarships.
However, fees for technical and other practical tertiary education should be lower
