grin

When Amosun took his stooge and took pictures with Buhari in Aso rock, his dumb supporters cheered them up, saying lines like "Baba is a loving father" and all rubbish

Instead of expelling Amosun and Okorocha, they allowed their candidates to identify with APC provided that they choose Buhari is their presidential candidate. This is the end result

One thing is certain. APC can never win the gubernatorial elections in Imo and Ogun. They should just count that one as another loss, coupled with Rivers and the rest

Everyone cannot be pleased in life. Expelling Rochas and Amosun was the solution from the beginning
Imo APC candidate is barely working against Rochas. People in the state know where his alliance is. Rochas even said it, 'Hope Uzodinma is not contesting to be the governor. He's only here to bring me down...'

Nigeria does not have a GM as of present but there arr national players like Daniel Anwuli, Femi Balogun, Bomo Kighigha and a few others who have good chances of becoming GM''s. Chess players in Nigeria are mostly in lagos, port Harcourt, Abuja, Ibadan, Bayelsa and Delta.
They should advertise the tournaments well. Some good chess players don't know when these games commence, only to read about it and the winners when it's over. More efforts should be made towards its publicity.
Nice one.

That is close to unachievable in Nigeria which is attributable to the fact that here in west africa,chess as a game and a sport is not taken seriously.Majority of people dislike or are just indifferent about chess on the ground that the game is difficult to learn or it is boring which is ridiculous.
You may not know if there is Nigerian GM.

They should advertise the tournament very well. Most of the players in there are probably living in a particular region of the country.

That should even make you more scared when you realise that its just about 10 candidates, at most, from each state that will make it into any of the countries. That's about 2.5% of the figure you came up with.

My two cents
For a Northerner, the chances will be higher .

Nigerian lady was left distraught after losing her masters admission and scholarship due to the ongoing nationwide ASUU strike.

The lady identified as, Nwede Chiamaka Stella Maris took to her Facebook to narrate how she lost her foreign masters admission and scholarship because she was not able to submit my complete transcript and reference letters. She wrote;

Sad Saturday
I lost my master admission from university of cape town south Africa scholarship for final years student from South African women in science and engineering (SAWISE)
I lose the scholarship and admission because I was not able to submit my complete transcript and reference letters.( one of my wicked lecturer I mention his name as referee disappointed me,even thou I told him before submitting it ).
ASUU,NANS and FG continue
So painful
After my struggle
After my wonderful essay
After gaining admission to best university in African
After gaining best scholarship from SAWISE
Master that suppose to start in November or December
All of them is now a waste
My village people
Not angry much cos I just apply for it to try my luck for the first time
.

Gist from Gistmore - http://gistmore.com/lady-cries-out-after-losing-masters-admission-due-to-ASUU-strike
I understand how painful this can be. Although ASUU have a role to play, but the lecturer that refused giving you the reference letter is the 'heartless one'. For crying out loud, what is there in giving reference to a student. Some of those references are just for formality sake. Some Nigerian lecturers take it as a very big deal, but there are exceptions. A friend contacted his lecturer voa facebook to ask for reference, amd this Prof agreed and did it (despite the guy was not close to him during his student days). All lecturers, captain of industries should emulate this. I won't deny my students references whenever asked.

Of course you can use your undergraduate project but it must be published in a journal or presented in a conference. You can't put in your unpublished undergraduate project in the portal because you would be required to present same during interviews.

There may be more than one Directors that can become a Perm Sec, then comes an element of politics to pick one from that ministry. So when, say 3 of the qualified persons are from a region, it becomes impossible to impose a junior as a Perm Sec., unless you retire the seniors or something

Anyway, there must be a trigger, probably electrical or from the kitchen. Guys should also be careful with Electric iron (left ON) especially when in a hurry for work or something.

That is to ensure trolleys are returned or one forfeits the money for the workers/others. Big stores also use this method. Not bad!

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday in Maiduguri, Borno state used the opportunity of the COAS Annual Conference to address Nigerian soldiers at the battlefields to further boost their morale.

PoliticsNGR gathered that he later visited the hospital where injured soldiers are being treated.

He commended them for their bravery while commiserating with the families of the fallen heroes. Photos below;

CastedGist:
Actor Aremu Afolayan, has apologized to President Buhari, few days after he blasted airport officials and the government in a now viral video.

He had specifically accused the airport officials of demanding money from him before his “family members” could see him, just as he berated President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, and Ethiopian Airlines for the frustrating travel procedure.

Reacting to the viral video, FAAN released a public statement notifying everyone that access to the terminal is free.

“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) hereby notifies all passengers and other airport users that access to the terminal building is free. All passengers and airport users are therefore advised not to give money to any ‘airport official’ to gain access into the terminal.”

Well, the actor has also now taken to social media to apologize to the authorities involved after everything was resolved by top authorities both home and abroad. He wrote;
