ObaIgwe1: This is serious and I know it will have dire consequences in the future of US. But then many of these scientist and researchers are the ones that show least concern in politics and rarely vote. They care little about who is in power as long as they get their research grants. Now that the shit has gotten to their doorstep, I'm sure they will care about elections going forward. That’s one of the consequences of being mindlessly neutral. I’m sure they’ll care now. Like some said earlier, it’ll get to everyone’s doorstep. Some of them that I follow online are already complaining bitterly. And it’s not just about the grants. It’s about scientific words they are no longer allowed to use in their research because it’s termed DEI words. Words like women, female, diverse, bias, disability, black, advocacy, system (and so many more) So for example , if you’re a graduate student studying “the onset of post partum depression in women over 30”. The word “women” in that research will flag your work. You may not receive grants for the study. You simple can’t do any statistical analysis without using the words systemic, bias or diversity. Those are basic statistical principles that you can’t get around. People are talking about how they are going to get creative and rephrase certain words so their work doesn’t get flagged for removal. Like using “people with XX chromosome” instead of female. What about research on diseases that are predominantly found in black communities? How do you get around to rewriting “black” so that your work doesn’t get flagged? You say “melanin rich people”? So much stupidity and bullshit. And dumb black people are supporting this. |

Not to mention how disheartening it is that some of the applause is coming from people who should know better. Who you’d swear under different circumstances that they know better. How coincidental that the organizations he’s picking a fight with are those investigating his businesses. Or those who have fined him in the past. Or those who will have oversight over his projects in the near future. Even if he stops now the kind of irreparable damage he’s done is unquantifiable. My and everyone else’s social security information on a drive in the hands of a barely legal adolescent who can be kidnapped by anyone and made to sing.. the irony is some of those cheering for this actually know this is all BS because they actually have an audit background.

America’s Own goal. Let’s distrust all scientists and medical experts, researchers and professionals. Only the guy who asked us to inject bleach must have the right knowledge. The National Institutes of Health is capping an important kind of funding for medical research at universities, medical schools, research hospitals and other scientific institutions.
In the latest step by the Trump administration affecting scientific research, the NIH says the agency is limiting funding for "indirect costs" to 15% of grants. That's far below what many institutions have been getting to maintain buildings and equipment and pay support staff and other overhead expenses. For example, Harvard receives 68% and Yale gets 67%, according to the NIH.
Morale plummets at the CDC as staff fear job losses The NIH says the new policy, which marks a major change in how the agency funds research, is more in line what private foundations pay.
"Most private foundations that fund research provide substantially lower indirect costs than the federal government, and universities readily accept grants from these foundations," the NIH says in a notification released Friday announcing the change.
"Although cognizant that grant recipients, particularly 'new or inexperienced organizations,' use grant funds to cover indirect costs like overhead...NIH is obligated to carefully steward grant awards to ensure taxpayer dollars are used in ways that benefit the American people and improve their quality of life," the announcement says.
The NIH says the change will apply to both current and future grants, and even suggests the new policy would apply retroactively.
'Unprecedented': White House moves to control science funding worry researchers NIH spent more than $35 billion in 2023 fiscal year on nearly 50,000 grants to more than 300,000 researchers at more than 2,500 universities, medical schools, and other research institutions in the U.S., the agency says. This includes $9 billion for indirect costs.
The new policy, which goes into effect Monday, is being condemned by many researchers.
"This is a surefire way to cripple lifesaving research and innovation," Matt Owens, president of the Council on Government Relations, an association of research universities and academic medical centers, said in a statement. "Reimbursement of facilities and administrative expenditures are part and parcel of the total costs of conducting world class research."
Owens says his organization is "carefully reviewing this policy change as it contradicts current law and policy."
"America's competitors will relish this self-inflicted wound," Owens says. "We urge NIH leaders to rescind this dangerous policy before its harms are felt by Americans."
Those sentiments were echoed by other medical researchers.
"We're all reeling," Dr. George Daley, the dean of the Harvard Medical School, wrote NPR in an email. "This would decimate medical research."
The announcement comes as many researchers are already anxious because of other steps the new administration has taken, including restricting communication and travel by the NIH and other federal health agencies and freezing some research grants. |

I am sure these agencies are the yahoo boys. Such an empty response. See how you pivoted from “he’s just looking at them” to “too much agency is bad”. Y’all really don’t have a line that’s too far for them to cross with you, do you? At first you’ll deny that what they plan to do because you know it’s wrong. Then, when they tell you that is indeed what they plan, you pivot to find a way support them on the plan that you clearly know is bad. So if Bank of America loses your life savings and tells you there’s nothing they can do to compensate you because it’s a risk you took by banking with them, you’d be okay with that? You’d be okay losing your home or children’s tuition because oh well it is what it is. At least we have less agencies. Am I right? You really don’t have to respond. I know you try so hard to twist yourself into weird shapes to defend the indefensible. But This particular agency protects the common man from financial abuse at the hands of mega corporations and banking institutions. It was formed after the big economic recession where people lost everything after the banks went belly up. You would know this if you read the information I posted earlier instead of rushing to respond. This is not one of those agencies where anyone should rejoice if they no longer exist. You’re fixing your mouth to say he’s only looking at them meanwhile he has tweeted himself that he wants to destroy them. He literally typed RIP to them on his tweeter. Is there a line he’ll cross that will eventually become too much for you guys? Or are you going to blindly support him as he steers the country to the grave? The ones before this one I sell them and buy a newer one simply for want of a new style. None of them had one issue. When you say certain types of cars are prone to breaking down, and you own 3 of them in a row. Each one for years at a time, statistically the owner should be running into issues within the first year and even more issues the subsequent years. I can’t speak for BMW as I’ve only ever driven one for a short time while on a contract. but you’re wrong on your Benz information. advanceDNA: So...holocaust is about to happen in America?? From the moment they enter the prison gates, incarcerated people lose the right to refuse to work. This is because the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which protects against slavery and involuntary servitude, explicitly excludes from its reach those held in confinement due to a criminal conviction. The roots of modern prison labor can be found in the ratification of this exception clause at the end of the Civil War, which disproportionately encouraged the criminalization and effective re-enslavement of Black people during the Jim Crow era, with impacts that persist to this day. Today, more than 76 percent of incarcerated workers surveyed by the Bureau of Justice Statistics say that they are required to work or face additional punishment such as solitary confinement, denial of opportunities to reduce their sentence, and loss of family visitation. They have no right to choose what type of work they do and are subject to arbitrary, discriminatory, and punitive decisions by the prison administrators who select their work assignments. U.S. law also explicitly excludes incarcerated workers from the most universally recognized workplace protections. Incarcerated workers are not covered by minimum wage laws or overtime protection, are not afforded the right to unionize, and are denied workplace safety guarantees I said they are going to be kept in concentration camps and used for free forced labor. Just like our prison systems already do. It’s already legally happens in America. The only difference now is the kind of facility they are to be housed in. I only mentioned you to let you know I wasn’t being alarmist like you claimed. Simply someone who pays attention to patterns. About the holocaust, Don’t fast forward. Hopefully not. Black MAGA are 🤡🤡🤡 This is who Trump means when he says there are fine people on both sides. Exalting racists and white nationalists Darren Beattie, a former Donald Trump speechwriter who was fired in 2018 after CNN revealed he spoke at a conference attended by White nationalists, has been elevated to a top job at the State Department, multiple sources familiar with the move told CNN.
After being ousted from the Trump White House, Beattie founded the right-wing media outlet Revolver News. The outlet is known for amplifying false conspiracies about the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, including allegations that federal agencies orchestrated aspects of the attack and controlled extremist groups involved in the attack.
Beattie also has made a series of racially charged comments, writing in one tweet last year, “Competent white men must be in charge if you want things to work. Unfortunately, our entire national ideology is predicated on coddling the feelings of women and minorities , and demoralizing competent white men.” He praised Dr. James Watson, the founder of modern genetics who later suggested Black people were less intelligent than White people, as the “greatest living American scientist.” Beattie repeatedly said Black lawmakers, policymakers, and groups need to “learn” their place and take “a knee to MAGA.”
“‘Shithole countries’ was the high-point of Trumps presidency,” he wrote in 2020 |

Yes forced labor. Do you think they are going to be willingly doing the work? “There’s no crime in building a larger detention center” was how the concentration camps started during the holocaust. Pls don’t be blind to history because it’s repeating itself. First you guys deny it would never happen then when it happens you find ways to justify it. Did you know some red states are attempting to pass legislation that will imprison illegal immigrants for life? Where’s the deportation plan in that? The only plan there is to have them be slaves until they die. Pls wake up and realize this is happening. A Missouri Senate committee heard hours of testimony Monday on illegal immigration legislation that includes life imprisonment for those found guilty and a bounty of $1,000 for reporting people without legal status in the U.S.
Through one of the pieces of legislation, someone who is in the country without legal status who enters Missouri and remains would be guilty of a new felony trespassing charge.
The penalty would be life imprisonment without parole, probation or conditional release except by action of the governor.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is a US government agency that protects consumers from unfair treatment by financial institutions. The CFPB was created in response to the 2008 financial crisis.
Since its creation in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, the bureau has returned more than $17 billion to consumers it determined had been wronged by financial firms.
Whether Facebook and Instagram owner Meta misused financial data obtained from third parties has come under the microscope of the CFPB.
The agency also proposed new rules to oversee digital payment platforms, which would include Apple Pay and Google Pay. Musk's X is working with Visa to launch its own "X Money" payment system, according to the company, which would place the platform's financial services under the CFPB's oversight. So we’re all intentionally blind to Elon specifically targeting agencies that investigate his businesses for wrong doing or agencies that would potentially be responsible for having oversight over his business dealings? All good I guess.

I was right cococandy: Like I said earlier, He already had his cronies building concentration camps for these purposes.
What they are going to do is round up immigrants and put them in concentration camps to use as slave labor for his billionaire friends. That way, when he implements his disastrous 200% tariffs and companies can’t import from China anymore due to cost. They’ll start manufacturing in the USA using slave workers they rounded up from immigrant communities. Of course they can’t pay real USA wages to these workers which is why they were importing from China to start with.
Now they have a free supply of slaves they’ll use under the guise of “detained for deportation”.
Shame on all of you who support this man.
