Yessss!
RisenPhoenix1:
Cravings exist. I'm craving pepper soup right now. I'm not going to wake my wife up at 3am to go into the night and find pepper soup ingredients for me. See the difference?

What makes pregnant women's cravings uncontrollable by implication is precisely the obligation they attach to it; sending their husbands out at weird hours for their cravings. One in the op claimed she felt she could die if she didn't satisfy her cravings. I'm sure she told her husband that, forcing him out to get her the stuff she craves. The implication that the craving must be satisfied is always there, hence my describing it as uncontrollable.
RisenPhoenix1:
Yessss!
No. Nope. Sorry you can’t slither your way away from your primary intention on this thread.
You came in attempting to shyte on monogamy because according to you it’s giving pregnant women expectations of attention. Not you thinking it’s cool to father multiple children with different women at the same time and not have time for the women because you’re too smart to be scammed. How cool of you. It’s a self own if you don’t know.

1) I called you out for assuming it’s about manipulating men then you switched to your “uncontrollable” defense and then you compared pregnancy to a simple bloat from over-eating undecided in an attempt to diminish one of the most important things humans are capable of because your gender is the one who can’t do it. Mtchew

2) who ever told you pregnancy cravings are uncontrollable? Or you chose that word thinking it will give you something to win the argument you created in your mind. “Oh if they are controllable then we don’t need to indulge them”. Why wouldn’t a woman indulge her cravings if she can? And if her partner can help her with it, why not? Which brings me to

3) and who told you all pregnant women make their SO satisfy all their cravings? Even most of the women in the OP’s story took care of their needs themselves.
How many of them sent someone out in the middle of the night? How many do you know in real life that sent people out in the middle of the night?
You took one or two stories you heard and your own personal experience and decided you were going to use it in your campaign against monogamy.
Unfortunately for you, I’m not here for that nonsense today.

You can continue as usual but don’t dare diminish pregnancy or the impacts of it on the woman because you want to make one of your ill-thought out connections between monogamy and the problems of the world.

No one is stopping you from piling on the wives. Just stop disturbing us with your fantasies and get on with it already. Or maybe you can’t and that’s why the topic won’t get a rest from you. Not our problem.

The word RisenPhoenix1 is looking for. Right there. At the bolded.
He’s the one who termed the cravings uncontrollable. No woman told him her cravings were uncontrollable.
Nor that they all send their partners scurrying into the night to find them things to eat at all times of the day.

OP’s supposed rendition of funny instances didn’t state the women termed their cravings uncontrollable.

He’s using that phrase as a cop out because he knows denying they exist (which is his primary position) will only end up making him look like the smart a** that he is concerning this particular topic.

killed? Who said they were killed?

And I do leave you to your willful ignorance.

Lol grin,

Dear Coco, there are certain monikers, discussions, back & forth arguments you shouldn't bother getting involved with.
Because it will be a waste of precious time, a brain drain cos of the profoundly opinionated, unintelligent, toxic and zero value comments/posts such monikers put out.

I jump and pass a lot of that these days and don't bother arguing with internet strangers wey get ITK plus oversabi for body and are unable to engage without animosity or an antagonistic attitude.

I enjoyed reading your comments though, the maturity with which you flawlessly put jackasses in their place without insults or vile speech, is a badass move I need to learn. Respect!!!

Don't you just hate it when people try to play a fast one on you?
There is no physiological, anatomical or biochemical explanation for the pregnancy cravings that women supposedly get
Just off the top of my head.(feel free to actually read up on this topic if your ego will let you).
Reasons why some women may get cravings during pregnancy.

1) The placenta. The placenta is the chief cause of chemical imbalance in a woman’s body during pregnancy. It secretes several hormones that help to support and keep the pregnancy viable. One of the major side effects is change in taste buds. This change can cause cravings for things different than what normally constitutes her regular diet. A tiny bit of what the placenta does. A tee at tiny bit. Read more on it.

2) Nausea. Can cause cravings for sour/salty & spicy substances. In a bid to get rid of sick taste in the mouth caused by vomiting.

3) Nutritional deficiencies. (Major cause of cravings). The growing fetus will take what it needs to grow and thrive, inevitably leaving the woman with less to nourish herself. Common deficiency is iron, vitamin Bs and D complexes amongst others. Women find themselves craving dirt, loving the smell of earth, eating clay and things that they normally wouldn’t. But are often rich in minerals and vitamins. Many women don’t know why they crave the things they do, but the brain knows what they body is lacking and drives a sense of desirability towards those things in other to feed itself. It’s honestly not about you SIR. The amazing human body in its glory knows how to direct its resources in a bid to sustain itself with or without our minds approval.

Personally, I believe in science. I love science. As long as there is no satisfactory scientific explanation; and there currently is not; I'm taking any such stories with a big pinch of salt; in fact, a big bag of salt.
If you love science that much, reading a little about things you know nothing about wouldn’t be that difficult.

They probably assessed correctly that educating women in any manly profession would have been wasteful and unnecessary.

Exactly where and when did this take place anyway?
I’m not about to spoon feed you information that is easily accessible. Not when you’re not actually interested in learning. Just looking to argue.
Family › Re: Christianity Is Anti Modern-feminism And Red Pill by cococandy(f): 1:45pm On Feb 02, 2021
RisenPhoenix1:
See? Even history was written by the men.

Women haven't made anything significant apart from recurrent generations of children; and that is more due to biology than to any outstanding mental skills.
For the exact reason I stated. That father kept their daughters away from learning. Women who did at that time did so at great personal risk and in secret.
It’s not something for men to brag about .
You shouldn’t. It’s a shameful indictment on your gender.
Family › Re: Christianity Is Anti Modern-feminism And Red Pill by cococandy(f): 7:25am On Feb 02, 2021
And you learned this from history that was written by men of course. cool
And conveniently forgot when parents (fathers) prohibited their female children from higher education. Even punished them for it. But blame women for it. Go off.

And in-spite of those obstacles, women made strides far more than expected from them. But that doesn’t fit your narrative .
RisenPhoenix1:
Not my convo, but want to correct a misconception. Women's achievements on earth are essentially insignificant; whether before or after feminism. There are of course, a few outliers who broke grounds, but in the vast overwhelming main, this earth was made by men...again, both before feminism and after it. The only achievement feminism has to show is the corruption of morals and the destruction of family values. Feminism has introduced no new scientific discovery, technological achievement or solved any economic issue. Men do that.

RisenPhoenix1:
You mean they can indulge their cravings without making a scene? How nice. Then why don't single wives of doting monogamists do that as well? It all comes back to attention seeking whichever way you twist it.
I’ll remind the next pregnant wife of the nearest “doting” monogamist I know to check with you before they do something about their own cravings . That way you’ll stop assuming that they don’t.

Now that you brought that up, it is also ironic that unwed mothers never seem to need parenteral nutrition.
how would you know that? Do you treat women with hyperemesis gravidarum? If no one amongst your family or friends had it and had to be hospitalized or required to check in weekly for parenteral nutritional support, is there a reason on earth why you would know whether unwed mothers get it or not?
You think married mothers are self-inducing continuous nausea and vomiting to the point of developing severe malnutrition or even esophageal varices for your (male) attention? The self conceit.

The first thing you hear of their pregnancy is finding a baby dumped in the hostel toilet. No, I haven't met them all. But if you say you've heard of a teenage unwed mother waking her father up at 3 am to buy suya for her uncontrollable cravings, I'll believe you.
You think it appropriate to compare a scared child to a grown woman living in her own home freely without fear that her parents will disown her for being pregnant?
While one may suffer in silence, the other has no reason to.

RisenPhoenix1:
Abegi. Nine months this and nine months that. Holding it like a sword over someone's head. Pregnancy can't pass the bloated feeling you get when you eat 4 wraps of fufu, then your friend buys N10k suya and you have to help in finishing that too.

Please explain logically why women who have no expectation of attention, or who do not want to attract attention to their pregnancy, never get cravings, or at worst; control them very effectively.
@ bold. I know right? Seeing as you have a perfectly valid personal experience to draw from.

You want me to “logically” explain to you why women who want to hide their pregnancies never get cravings or manage to control them. Because you & I have met all of them and know for a fact that they didn’t find a way to indulge in their cravings, haven’t we? That’s how we know they never did. undecided

If you are ignorant about something, ask like someone who actually wants to learn. Don’t be cocky in your ignorance. It’s irritating. Asking me to “logically” explain something to you when your question is devoid of basic logic.

And no not all pregnant women get cravings. Some don’t have appetites for anything and even have to be supported on parenteral nutrition. For those who do/did, you don’t get to tell them how it felt.
Family › Re: 8 Nigerian Women On Their Funniest Pregnancy Moments by cococandy(f): 5:42am On Feb 02, 2021
RisenPhoenix1:
I just can't get past the fact that only pregnant wives of doting monogamists have these 'uncontrollable' cravings. Millions of co wives, as well as teenage and unwed mothers; carry their pregnancies to full term (the unwed mothers even evade detection long enough to dump them in hostel toilets) without anyone hearing about any cravings or early morning sicknesses. Makes me believe that they are either faked to get favours/attention, or actually controllable, but exaggerated; again to get favours/attention.

It is all about psychological manipulation of the poor long-suffering husband.
Wow. Nine long months of something you have no understanding how it feels; but it must be about getting to manipulate you.

The self conceit.

PatriotExact:
First, if you think that this gay thing is natural, you are gradually having your mind twarted.

This gay thing is as a result of extensively exposing yourself to unnatural environment.

Just try this: watch gay porn for a week and see if you won't start thinking that you are naturally gay.

It's a depraved state that one goes into upon unnatural exposure.

I love ur spirit and strong voice against rape but you have to sensitize ur fellow ladies to avoid putting on provocative or indecent wears that would trigger rape. Some of them wear clothes that bring out their curves & boobs. Talk to them. Everyone has a role to play to reduce this ugly trend to the barest minimum.
I’m sure this 12 old mentally challenged kid triggered men like you to rape her.

Perhaps, I could argue that a woman of that age should have a strong sense of self, and that is a good thing. A good man should not be afraid or bothered that his wife has fully matured, for what is the point of life without growth, introspection, retrospection and the ability to match forward into the future with assurance?

As a man, be good to your wife, be a good father, husband and friend, and you have nothing to worry about. Women are people, and people do grow, which is what life is all about. When one recognises this and has dealt with their demons, dealing and managing others own becomes easy. Be good.
