I don’t think the poster means doing it behind his back.

But I could be wrong
Plead:
This doesn’t sound right... how can you go behind your husband’s back and do this without his consent?

If the husband did something that will affect both of them without her input or consent would she be happy?

This doesn’t make sense.

There was a comment on this forum years ago about lawyers making jest of a man who fought for alimony. Lawyers in that case o. A few weeks ago Adele’s ex came under fire. Mary J Blige’s husband was vilified. The list is endless. Such men are regarded as less than men. At worst, women are regarded as not deserving alimony. Nobody shames women. Even when McKenzie Bezos divorces her husband, the only complaint was that she didn’t deserve to receive as much as she got not that she wasn’t deserving of some change. The story is completely different for men. Not that men aren’t barred from receiving alimony, though.
well I think that’s wrong. That’s my own opinion. I can’t speak for the others.

How many men get child support?
women primarily care for the kids. Makes sense that way. Few men do get child support in my neck of the woods. When they are the primary care givers. Which isn’t often.

I haven’t seen women shamed for child support except in instances where they do not want to share custody
hmm

Yet richer women are notorious for alimony-shaming men who feel deserving of alimony upon divorce.
known by who? Women also get alimony shamed but either way it’s wrong simple and short. You know that and I know that . Never mind your statistics.

Heck even women get shamed for child support. A Child that was made by both of them. Yet women are shamed for wanting support to raise the kids.
IMO, everybody should get whatever they built themselves or a share of what was truly jointly built/acquired. After all, divorce rape is a thing
as usually is while married. Few cases may be exempt

I dont get why you are so apprehensive abou this, who doesn't want a secured future?. You could have a marriage contract protecting what ever assets either of you own before the marriage, incase the marriage doesn't work out. But whatever is built during the marriage must belong to both of you . We still have cultures that manipulate and abuse widows& their children ,so it is always wise to make sure their are protected by the law incase of your untimely death.
That’s the part they are apprehensive about. The possibility that what’s acquired during the marriage might be called a jointly owned asset.

The will to ignore whatever she contributed to the family as inconsequential is strong.

And that’s why Nigerian wives would be wise to make sure their properties are documented very well with them as owners or part owners made clear.

Not building in the name of marriage and have a system that doesn’t recognize your contributions give you pittance in the event of a dissolution.

nana228:
Please i genuinely need to know, how does court marriage favour a woman except the man plans on marrying another wife before properly divorcing her in Nigeria?

Honestly i don't see the big deal, is it not the same court that tells men with 5 children to pay 5,000/month for three children as upkeep? I have never seen where the court shared the couples assets and liabilities 50/50 like other countries.

Is there something i don't know? What about making her sign a prenuptial agreement if you are worried about anything?
Family › Re: What To Do When A Woman Insist On Court Marriage by cococandy(f): 4:52am On Apr 28, 2020
It’s a requirement for any legal proceedings that might occur in the course of your marriage in future.
Let’s say you guys are married and 15 years into your marriage, you or her decide you’re not good for each other anymore? What protection does she have if that decision will be cause for her to lose her home or property without compensation?
What if you die before her? What protects her home and property from grabbing outsiders if she can’t prove she’s part owner?

You don’t have to go to a court/registry for the wedding. Many churches now require a court clearance before they wed the couple. You can sign the papers in the register with witnesses and take it to church with you on your wedding day. Then the priest and your parents/witnesses will sign their part.
If you’re not enamored with the idea of a court ceremony, this would be the way to go.

Now the question to you is “why don’t you want to do it?”

I was masturbating every day of my life so my life came to a standstill. I was going about telling people I was a virgin but I was a chronic masturbator! I would masturbate anywhere, anyhow. I would finish praying now and as soon as I finish I would still masturbate. I even masturbated inside a church building, whiles service was still going on. It is a strong and powerful addiction.

So when people are sharing their struggles with me I understand what they mean I was there for 20 whole years. When the desire comes upon you it is so strong that you don’t have any other choice than to go ahead and do it. So I kept masturbating and masturbating and my life kept going downhill.
Any type of addiction will make you life go downhill.
It’s not spiritual in the sense that there are lurking unseen beings responsible for it. It’s a real mental health issue and I’m happy for this writer if he indeed overcame this addiction and progressed with his life.

You have to reach orgasm for the semen to comes out so the semen that drops on the ground is the entirety of you. That is why it is called a seed. It contains your DNA your emotional and physiological components of a man is in that fluid. That is what you are pouring out.
Not every sperm cell is destined to become a human being. The earth will go up in flames if that ever happens. Doubt that’s God’s plan. Even if you ejaculate in your lawfully and religiously wedded wife, only one or few cells are used in making the baby/babies. The rest go down the drain in the shower.
Demons can’t find those?
What about men who have spontaneous ejaculation in their sleep without masturbation, what happens to that? The demons don’t like that specimen because the man didn’t masturbate to release it?

Dunno what to tell you.

Oh what about women who masturbate but don’t necessarily pour out their fluid while masturbating? How do the demons get their seed?

So many questions
Family › Re: How I Overcame Spiritual Wife After Many Years Of Torments. by cococandy(f): 2:54am On Apr 28, 2020
You know the semen is not like urine that you pour on the ground. The semen has to go through a process before it comes out. That process is a spiritual journey
No sir it’s a biological journey. Spirits are not involved in this.

When ejaculation occurs, sperm is forcefully expelled from the tail of the epididymis into the deferent duct. Sperm then travels through the deferent duct through up the spermatic cord into the pelvic cavity, over the ureter to the prostate behind the bladder. Here, the vas deferens joins with the seminal vesicle to form the ejaculatory duct, which passes through the prostate and empties into the urethra.

Those that practice yoga, I meant exercising your body, those who do raga yoga are told to picture pyramid in their minds surrounded by fire and the endpoint they get controlled by a serpent demon who controls their brain. Those who get into radical yoga always get possed by demons and.

Animal, you are not Yoruba man. Name one brothel in Lagos that the Igbo ladies did not dominate?

The Ayilara market and Empire in 1990s were renowned for prostitution in Lagos because of Igbo girls. There were few Calabar, Edo and Yoruba ladies there. The Ayilara was in Surulere and the unchecked influx of Igbos into Lagos in 80s and 90s came handy as many Igbo whores were brought to Lagos for prostitution.

Go to Ijora Badia Lagos, Igbo prostitutes dominated the area from 1980s to 90s. They even had a powerful Igbo king inside Ijora Badia market and he was later killed by some Yoruba criminals who he kowtowed with.

Go to Koch Street in Idi Oro, the Igbo prostitutes led the packs. It could have been possible for Yoruba prostitutes to dominate Igbo Eastern region because the prostitutes love to operate outside their domains. But as far Lagos, I would always choose Igbo ladies as the leaders of prostitution in Yorubaland.

I’m a Yorubaman and I have bleeped prostitutes all my life in Lagos, only one time in Lone Beach California now a Kuramo Beach that I bumped on a Yoruba prostitute.

Under the Logemo house in Onipanu, there used to be a bar, I have bleeped more than 10 prostitutes there for 2k nairas way back in 2001 and 2002, they were usually Igbos and could not even mumble words in Yoruba

Before you get to palm grove on the right, there was a bar there in 90s where all the prostitutes had their mini rooms, I bleeped for 500 nairas for short time and I was barely 18 year old, the Igbo girls gave me so much confidence that I don’t even toast anymore.

I’m not saying this to berate those Igbo prostitutes but as the testament to their handiwork to spread prostitution like a wide fire in Lagos.

To have an Igbo man here canonizing them as saints and other tribes’ women as prostitutes cares the bejeebers out of me.

You are right.
Reference:
It is not about individuals. We should think about others. If I considered myself alone I can assure you I don't mind the lockdown extending till a vaccine is established next year because part of my business is essential on the one hand and another significant part is domiciled overseas and hopefully these will soon be back. I go to work four times a week for just a few hours each day.

But ones society is ones society and we should all be concerned right now about the big picture concerning this pandemic viz about our capacity to handle it.

One of the big mistakes we have made and continue to make from the get go and up until yesterday's meeting by Mr. President and the Minister of Health and Head NCDC is that the pandemic is a health issue alone. It is absolutely not.

It is far more than that for the simple reason that the vast majority affected by a pandemic ARE NOT SICK AND WILL NOT BE SICK AT THE END. So dealing with this group in helping to stem the pandemic IS NOT A HEALTH ISSUE but a general governance issue.

That is why when you see the tip of the spear in most other nations you see the involvement of other experts interfacing with goverment and not just disease control experts calling all the shots.

I’d hate to be so attached to something so badly that I can’t set it aside for my own good. That’s what religion is doing to our country.

Now the citizens are awakening and asking the questions. Previously they thought 'lockdown' was a plan. Today the goverment says it is seeking test kits so they want us to wait until they find the kits....even if it takes them ten years to find. Is this not a receipe for disaster.
Even the so called organized countries don’t have much of a plan. This one weak everybody.

Right. If she’s not in any imminent danger of any kind, let her have a plan before she leaves.
Unpleasant doesn’t last forever but if she leaves without a plan and a means of achieving, she will be very vulnerable and thus more likely to get hurt.
Family › Re: Why Talking Bad About Your Husband Could Ruin Your Marriage by cococandy(f): 2:23am On Apr 27, 2020
I’d say the rule of thumb is that if you have to talk negatively about your spouse to anyone, let it be an issue you’ve tried to resolve behind closed doors without success.

And if you do open up about it, make sure you see it to the end. Don’t drag people into your affairs only to go back to accepting the behavior you were complaining about. Thus making the third party helpers look bad. It also makes you look unserious to both your spouse and anyone else you might have involved in your issues.

1. There must be something wrong for a sane husband to go insane. For every action, there is equal and opposite reaction. It is to decipher if it is an action or reaction and deal accordingly. The wife might analyse, give him time to change and even separate as a message to the husband.

2. It is not necessarily the wife's 'fault'. It can be a new stuff he picked up to 'belong' or whatever.

3. Of course, the men are responsible for their actions, reactions and would deal with the consequences. Just how I think XYZ saying they cheated because their spouse did is crap.

For all it's worth, I was responding to this after I responded to Mr. 'Sir' before I switched to mobile on my other moniker and the thread degenerated. undecided
