Yes but the money should only be utilized for joint projects.
Both of us put a particular percentage of our monthly income in the joint account each month depending on who earns higher (like tax).

The rest would go to each person's personal account but both of us have to share the responsibilities. So if he is paying school fees, paying the rent and buying school books, I would be responsible for household feeding and utilities (e.g water bills, electricity).

That's how my parents do it and it works.

This is weird! !!, got medical mail July 3rd, my passport was dispatched before stipulated time given for my medicals, got my passport and it was a denial. Purpose of visit, travel history, family times to country n personal asset and financial status was selected, even though I had paid over $7k tuition deposit, added my landed properties and closing personal soa of over 3.9m just for a year PG prog.This is crazy, if they wanna be frustrating Nigerians from schooling in canada, it's high time they made this known!!!

House, i Got My medical mail By july 3rd, started My medical By july 8, My medicals was submitted to CIC By july 15th, but to My surprise My passport Has been dispatched from Ghana Since 13th of july , i have not seen My passport yet though, just Worried what might have happened, did they deny me after telling me to go for medicals,that i Would'nt know.they gave 14days to complete This medicals and My Time Has not even expired, please House, i Need help.

You are not the only one with this issue. Read back a few pages and you will see where a guy complained of same. Try to call VFS let's see whatsup.

My dear , so sorry about the stress. I don't go to banking halls o...I cant deal with the wahala. The last time i did was to pay for upfront at consultant practice becos they don't accept debit card.

For my daughter's medicals I simply did an online transfer (seamless) to IOM's standard chartered account and went with the online payment receipt. I paid 15k because it's only physical exam that is done for kids below 5, but based on the email I got from IOM, its 28k for adults.

I should have done the online transfer but I'm having issues with my online banking. Thanks though.

@Team12, I went to the bank to pay for IOM medicals on Friday and it was a battle. Filled a normal teller and was told by the cashier that there's a customized teller for IOM. Turned out the account number on the customized teller was different from the one IOM sent me. I insisted on using an ordinary teller and filling the details on their website. They even said the money was #26,250 and the cashier refused to collect anything in excess of that. She showed me a circular sent by IOM to the bank issuing the directive. Had to go to their head office.


Did you guys encounter such?

Now I can speak my mind. Its unfair when you guys only come here when you need help. Some of you have been so called silent followers and get your medical calls but you don't tell the house. You will now come back when your medicals don't go smoothly or you have other issues.

The second category are those who come here to tell us they have been called for medicals and after that they disappear. When did you apply? No answer, what route? No answer, oya documents nko, that one is even worse. Meanwhile, it is from this same place you got clues on the documents to package and steps to take. Its really unfair. The information that you have been called for medicals is useless to us if you won't tell us the documents or other relevant info. If you won't tell us what we want to know then pls stuff your good news down your throat cos personally its of no benefit.

OP Banks operate a policy of last in first out when they need to reduce their workforce. You should read your staff handbook. That said, they are private employers who have the right of hire and fire so any lawyer that tells you you can sue them for reinstatement wants to eat your money. The court cannot force a private employer to rehire a staff, however, your payment in lieu of notice which will be part of your severance package must be paid. Where that is not paid, you can then approach a lawyer.
