The effing white wedding. I should have only done the traditional marriage and gone to court after. We could have bought a house with the money we spent on that white wedding. 2 Likes |

Nigerians will say she was pregnant and will start saying rubbish about knowing a woman who was pregnant for 6 years. If the woman wasn't past menopause, she probably would have gotten pregnant at some point and people will say she was pregnant for 6 years. 1 Like |

I had a 50mm x 45mm hemorraghic cyst once and it resolved by itself after 2 menstrual cycles. They usually don't operate unless it gets really big as it could lead to ovarian torsion. 1 Like |

I hope Canada conducts their investigations. I despise refugee claimants that tarnish the name of Nigeria just to get residency. Selfish people that dont care about others. I will soon start a blog that will poke holes into your ridiculous and baseless gender mutilation, police harrassment and threatened murder by juju claims. You guys keep painting us as this backward country full of savages. Even worse are those that falsely claim to be LGTBQ and in the process shut the door for genuine LGBTQ people. Shame on you. 3 Likes |
Family / Re: Married Women, Do You Still Give Guys Your Contact? Why? by CoCoLav(f): 1:51pm On Nov 26, 2019 |
So you shouldn't network because you are married? Not every man wants to toast you or has sinister intentions. Walking around with the mentality that every man wants to toast you means you won't go far in life. Besides, not every man is heterosexual. Some people may actually want your number because they want to connect. When asked for my number, I give it out depending on where we meet..at a conference, school etc. If the calls become inappropriate, you have the option of blocking the number and moving on. Its childish for someone to ask for your number and your first response as a mature and professional woman is "sorry I'm married". Did he ask you to marry him? 11 Likes 2 Shares |

ajebuter: Not everyone that follows her patronizes her. I for one follow her out of curiosity and intrigue. She creates sensational content on her page which I enjoy watching. Same way many people follow bellanaijaweddings and yet it's not like they are planning a wedding. Instragram is all about sensationalism. 9 Likes |

Travel / Re: New Desperate Measure Nigerians Formulate To Seek Assylum In Europe, US, Canada by CoCoLav(f): 7:48pm On Jun 24, 2019 |
There are so many LGBTQ people living safely in Nigeria. The worst that will happen is that some people who don't agree with your lifestyle will avoid you while others will preach to you and keep inviting you to their churches. Parents will also ask their kids to stay away from you but to claim that nigerians will go as far as burning down your house, chasing you on the street to harm or kill you is just not true. Your parents might refuse to talk to you but that also happens in other developed countries. I just dont like the way Nigerians are being portrayed as violent people. Some go as far as saying that the Nigerian police has a manhunt ongoing for them due to their sexuality which is really not true. I have always suspected that the statement made by Opedolapo asking homosexuals to leave nigeria had a hidden agenda to support asylum seekers. I can't imagine how many people must have successfully claimed asylum just by presenting that statement by Opedolapo backed by fabricated newspaper clippings. There are so many laws in Nigeria that are not enforced, the homosexuality law is one of them. If it was enforced, Bobrisky would have long been arrested. Look at the number of followers she has and the number of positive encouraging comments on her page. How can you then say Nigerians will kill you because you are gay or a lesbian? |

kennykentipsy: Do you have an LMIA? Do you have an LMIA No.? Did your employer apply for an LMIA on your behalf? Did you fill some forms and submit to ESDC before getting your job? If you answered no to any of these questions, then you should answer no. |

dmydee: From a registered church...yes. I should have added that anecdote. We need to differentiate between churches (e.g Catholic church) that have legal backing and the one-man church on your street corner that conducted your marriage. A marriage certificate from Assemblies of God church for instance, will not be accepted by CIC. The only church I know that has legal backing is the catholic church and I dont know of anyone personally who has gotten PPR by only submitting a church issued marriage certificate but I can give you instances of people who have been refused on this issue. Even in Canada, the church will marry you but the official marriage certificate is issued by the government. |

bbpin: I realize that this advice would have served you better before you submitted but I would still go ahead and say this. Its important that you click on the ? icon when uploading your documents to understand exactly what you are required to submit. This would go a long way in forestalling issues like this. A Church marriage certificate is not valid as proof of marriage for EE. You need one from the Court. Your relationship with your spouse for the purpose of EE is best described as common law or cohabitation which is what you should have selected and shown proof that you have been living together. At this point, I'm not sure what would sway the VO in your favor as any document you receive now would bear a future date. Firstly, ask for an extension to produce the required documents with a compelling reason (30 days).Procedural fairness requires that you be granted the extension. Secondly, try to get the marriage certificate produced quickly. Unfortunately, greasing palms may be the quickest way to do this. After you get it, submit the certificate with a letter of explanation explaining that the marriage had just been registered. The chances of this working are 50/50 because you applied on a certain date as being married. As far as the law is concerned, you were not married as at the time you put in your application. Your marriage became legally recognized as at the date it was registered. Just pray your VO is nice as they have a lot of discretion in issues like this. 7 Likes 1 Share |

There's something shady about BC's marking scheme for IELTS written in Nigeria, and I wish people would boycott them or call them out on it. My sister had 9 9 8.5 in LRS and 7 in Writing. How does someone who had a near perfect score in other components score so in writing? I believe these scores are not a true reflection of the applicant's abilities. It has become a money-grab for BC and its shameful that a supposedly reputable organization will bring itself so low as to focus primarily on profit making. 17 Likes |

oluwabishop: The phrase "sufficient proof" is quite vague. Which documents did you submit to prove relationship? IRCC has a list of documents that can be used to prove relationship. If you submitted documents on that list and you were still refused, I would request for a reconsideration. 1 Like |
