It wud be hard for most of them to show up. When they consistently throw away games from winning positions talkless about when scores are level. Most will wait till d end of d game, that wud decide if they shud show up or not.

Nothing new in what Cesc fabregas has said. . . .
But. . . He should also remember that it's the same youth system that has propelled him to being a superstar known all around the world. . . .and most importantly, he cannot exonerate himself from the failure.
Critics would point to his silly backheel in the CL which led to Barca scoring against us at the NOu camp and his DAFT act of putting up his hand and Chamakhs own to block a freekick(Arsenal vs Spurs)which led to a penalty against us.
Sign of immaturity at crucial moments, if you ask me

BTW . . . . . Can Mourinho give us Adebayor for just 90 minutes this evening OR at least let him come and sit at a vantage point where the entire Spuds team can see him? . . .That will be enough to get us 3 points at the Shitt heart lane tonight wink grin grin
You are always in denial huh

Your captain has practically come out to say he is frustrated at being in a club where making money at the expense of winning trophies is the main Mission of the club.

It simply means that, players shud be dedicated to a club whose primary mission is making money and sacrifice their (players) want for individual medals.

You now point to individual mistakes he has made on the pitch to also blame him for the skewed mission of the club.
So because he is your captain, he shud not make any mistakes. Infact you now say he is showing signs of immaturity. The same Cesc that has been praised to high heavens about how he has handled situations in the past.

Why dont you put the blame where its suppose to be, Wenger and the Board simples!!!!

The guy wants to win trophies while playing and his coach is telling the whole world that they are satisfied with the way the club is making money, does that not betray the honours that these players would like to win, with a club like Arsenal.

He is encouraging himself when he quoted Puyol as saying he(puyol)had not won anything at 26. Cesc wants to win more trophies and thats what would make him a complete successful footballer, not one to be known to play good sexy football for a club that was only interested in making money.

If he had left for barca last season, he would have been sure of a medal by now, not here where the club hierachy would be happy that they qualified for champs league.

Mr_TA:
We dont really need any favours, its still in our hands we just need to get our form back.
Yes its in our hands, But we cannot just keep dropping points against teams like Newcastle at a time like this.

The way Arsenal have refused to take advantage at most times we had messed up is what am talking about.

Imagine if Arsenal had won against sunderland, newcastle, Spuds, Liverpool, These are games they should have wrapped up.

What kind of favours do you need from GAYYners? and why do you need it
We messed up by not going 9points clear.

I need the gaynners to continue making droppings points at times like this when they are supposed to take advantage.

Its what they have been doing all season. grin it now looks like a favour, cause Man U has not been all that this season.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by codedguy1(m): 10:00pm On Apr 19, 2011
This is getting risky o. Now we need arsenal to us a favour against the spuds.
Chelsea is also lurking. We still have to play chelsea and arsenal. 9points clear wuda been some comfortable cushing.

I agree in one respect. . . .they both make the most idiotically obvious dives and then roll around like they were just shot with a TEC 9 sub machine gun. cheesy cheesy

@ HNIC

I think i understand how u feel when there is a rumour about your best player leaving and how sensitive it can be to you. grin grin

its akin to when CR7 was leaving UNITED grin grin

Or do you want to deny that Eboue has not been your best player at Arsenal tongue tongue

It seems the log in HNIC's eyes barely allows him to see specs in the most unusual places. The beauty of the wall at wembley might just be enuff reason that will make Arsenal lose the title this season. Thats why he needs to make sure that anyone that damages it must be brought to book.

You shud join the police SWAT force that specializes in protecting the walls at Wembley. tongue grin

Manure will DEFINITELY fumble. Its not like they won't drop as much as 6 points in the remaining of this run-in, but we won't take advantage. We just won't.

I am still feeling like we won the UCL yesterday!
I say it again, it took Fergie donkey years to discover the UCL formula and since then, we've not looked back.
United is just a different team at the UCL.

I think i loved their composure and complete concentration for most part of the match!
The moment it was lost led to a goal. . . .so u can see its effect.

I also appreciate the fact that Rio was brave enough to play thru pains and the work rate of Giggs and Park.
We can also attribute our fortune to the having the luck of having key players fit for the game.
We are soo good that our highest scorer was on the bench for this game.

Fergie na master strategist!!!

But guys, would the game have been tougher or the result different had Drogba started?
To be honest, i think we were up for it yesterday and my brother kept on telling me during the game when it seemed like chelsea was beginning to get a hang of it that if chelsea scored, that MAN U will score again and thats exactly what happened.

We were so comfortable in the game especially when we had scored the first goal.

DD definitely brought something and might have made the game a little tougher if he had started, but i think from what i saw yesterday we would have still won. The chelsea players were just not in the mood. it was as if they knew it was all over b4 they entered the pitch coupled with the fact that they lost at home, Torres continued his form, DD was on the bench, Lampard looked tired, malouda was clueless and this was OT.

Our players had already seen victory and were ready to die on that pitch. Its like they would have asked themselves "how did we lose" if for whatever eason we threw the match away yesterday.

Schalke should do inter and i hope we dont become complacent cos its schalke we will meet. They are quite a decent side. But nothing dey happen sha.

@ presido, they have finally realised that it is not by mouth and posts on nairaland that will help them. Let arsenal win this game now u will start to hear all sorts of permutations and bunkumeries about how they WILL win the league. The only problem is that they can end up 3rd or even 4th.

Not this season. . . maybe in the past
Whoever thought:
Wolves will be the one to end Manure's unbeaten run
Everton would be 1-3 down  on the dot of 90minutes and end the match 3-3 against Manure
Chelsea would lose 0-1 to L'pool at SB
Blackpool will beat L'pool home and away
Arsenal could be leading 4-0 at the hour mark and finish the match 4-4 against N'castle
Berbatov would be the league's highest scorer even though his as* is more familiar with the bench grin
With 7/8 matches to go, the team on the verge of qualifying for Europe could still be relegated. shocked

Crazy season and could still be crazier with a few games to go lipsrsealed
You keep writing poems that are neither here nor there.

tell me, which season do we not see surprises like the ones you mentioned above.

It usually always happens and it will happen next season, so your point nor make sense my guy.

At the end of the seasons all the surprises will mean nothing to the team that wins the league.

Say what you wanna say.
7 points gap with a game in hand and 8 matches to go CAN still be overturned.
The EPL has been unpredictable this season.
If Arsenal were the ones leading with 7 points and Man U or chelsea were chasing then you can say there wud still be a chance. It has happened b4 and everyone would rather bet that Arsenal cannot, i repeat, cannot win all their remaining games as against other teams doing so.

Lets be fair here, its true that Arsenal still has a mathematical chance of winning, but we also know how epileptic your team is.

Why dont you beat the spuds first(ur game in hand), before u start having, anything that even resembles hope. grin

As man U fans, we are not celebrating that we have won yet, but are very very pleased with our position, our players coming back from injuries and general improvement on our team play.

The onus is on you to catch us if you can tongue tongue

Your bias against Wenger becomes even more apparent as time progresses. So you care more about Wenger going elsewhere to prove to you that he is positive/goal oriented? cheesy

Why is it convenient to blame the board? Who decides the club's policy? Who decides the direction in which the club should go? Who can hire or fire the manager?

You question whether Arsene wants to win or not - if the club does not want to win, will Arsene force the club to do that? If Arsene isn't backed up with funds to get the players he feels are necessary (e.g. rumours of a failed bid for Reina) to move the club forward, will Arsene manufacture the players?

I am not exculpating Arsene from the situation, but only a blind man will fail to see that this stems from the entire philosophy of Arsenal FC since the move to the Emirates - is the current board only content to continue reducing the debt while remaining pseudo-competitive by remaining in the top 4 till a buyer comes around to make them rich for life?

Are they timid conservative types who won't take risks and will simply keep AW because he's one of the few (if not the only one) that could keep the club ticking over on a shoestring transfer budget?

What exactly is their vision beyond 'maintaining our values and doing things the 'Arsenal way'?'  huh

Arsene is the fall guy for everything at the club - if ticket prices are high, blame Wenger. If the club doesn't sign players, blame Wenger. If the club is more interested in paying down debt than winning, blame Wenger.

Very soon the crowding at Highbury & islington and Arsenal train stations after the game will be Wenger's fault. grin grin
I think there is something fundamentally wrong with both the Board and AW if the bolded is even considered.

What is AWs own philosophy as the coach of a supposedly big club in europe. how do we measure a club as being one of the top clubs in europe?

Trophies, money, players, fans etc what is the most important thing in the life of a club that keeps them ticking.

If a club continuously wants to be at the top level of the best league in the world without given serious priority to winning trophies because of their philosophy. Then it should be very well spelt out to the fans, so that they dont expect to win but congratulate the team whenever they qualify for CL.

It seems fans want trophies, but the club is content with just being amongst the top clubs.

Truth be told, 6 years of being trophyless is not acceptable for a club like Arsenal.
