@ Johnpaul,

You sound very confident and i wont blame you as a Barca fan.

But be careful, if we get our selection right and get the right mentality to execute that game we can win it.

We have played 3 times in recent memory, 1loss,1draw and1 win. so be careful.

Barca are arguably the best team in the world now, but they can still be beaten. You should not expect us to try to play the style of game that we know suits you. we will be dead. so we will employ whatever legal strategy to win the game. Thats the way we play, study the opposition and fashion out a way of upseting them.

ONE UNITED!

Our affair ends when ECL starts
Atleast you admit the affair for now.

debosky:
My friend sharrap there. You're making noise about Chicharito and Suarez as if they was the only strikers signed into the EPL this season. How well have Dzeko and Balotelli done? How well has Torres done despite donkey years in the EPL?

Someone who hasn’t delivered anywhere except scoring frequently for the reserves is the one y’all are making noise about?

Even the much maligned Bendtner did immensely better during his loan deals - what is JET’s excuse? Why on earth should a player do badly on loan yet get thrown into the Arsenal first team? Was Jack bad at Bolton before getting a spot? Was Djourou bad at the Brummies before getting a spot? Was Woij bad at the Bees before getting a spot? Was Song rubbish on loan before being brought back?

But no - some irrational bunkum spewing folk here just have the hots for JET, despite his appalling lack of performances anywhere else except in the reserves.

Note - I am NOT condemning JET, but he damn well start performing (not just for reserves) before expecting to walk into the Arsenal first team squad, potential or no potential.

Quote from a blog
The relationship between Arsenal fan and Arsenal fan is strained. If you don’t want Wenger out you’re a know-nothing. If you want him gone you’re a fool for ignoring all the great work he’s done in the past. If you step back and assess our problems, you’re making excuses. If you call for serious change you’re a poo-stirring reactionary. It’s very hard these days to find the middle ground.
This can be traumatising Indeed!!!

They felt Ronaldo leaving meant MAN UNITED was finished. Well if winning the league and getting to the finals of the CL is being finished, i likey.
We will have to hope that whoever we play in the midfield against barca comes to the party with there A game. Thats all i ask 4. We have seen players who play badly in one game only to step it up in anoda.
Congrats to my fellow MANCS, 19th title. Wembley here come.

@Coogar
We lost on Sunday and I am showing up on Wednesday.
You are having a laugh.
Did we lose the EPL on sunday?
No we didn't. . . .We had lost it a long time again and my friend I was on this thread then.I was here running commentary when we held 4-4 by Newcastle, was here when we lost all the previous matches this season.
So what's the difference in losing on Sunday. . . .at least you find peeps on this thread win, draw or lose, can't say same for u guys(Ipswich etc grin)
It's still the Arsenal and can't quit me love affair with the Red and White
Trust a gayyner like HNIC to shift the goal post of the arguement to favour him and still goof.

When exactly did you lose the league grin grin As if when you beat UNITED you did not think there was still hope, praying that atleast chelseaa would help you guys out.

Guess what? Chelsea was snuffed out grin grin

You are now talking about your being here during the newcastle debacle and other games you lost.

@tkb417

You were right, experience and know how won over in the end but next season still dey o. The legs are getting even more tired (VDS retiring, Giggs, Scholes and Rio one year older) and I still don't see top notch quality coming in though I'll make an exception for Hernandez, I hope he experiences a 2nd season syndrome next season.

what a dork!!!!

I believe overall we have a better squad as things stand now, as Manure's better performers are ageing without much quality coming through the ranks, things can still change in the transfer window though

IMO There are 2 major things w need to do to neutalise Barca, which are choke them in the middle with fighters and then use the wings effectively.

To hurt Barca, you have to have the ball and this is one of the hardest things to do when playing this team, but they have been beaten and i think if we have the right mentality and employed a formidable strategy we have the personnel to do the job.

There are arguements for and against Giggs starting this game and it now depends on which Giggs shows up. Personaly i would not start Giggs, let those seemingly young guys slug it out with barca, then we can bring in expeience depending on how the games go.

I would not start, Giggs, berba, and scholes.

Another rubbish.
While Rooney was out of sorts,United lost only one game, the Carling Cup defeat to West Ham (which he didn't play in).How is that fumbling, compared to home losses to West Brom (newly-promoted) and Newcastle (another newly-promoted side)?
I remember that you had your (normally flaccid) erect.ion at it's hardest when Rooney tried to engineer a move in October, whene you turned T.B. Joshua and started reeling out your false prophecies about United's dmise.
I'm still waiting for you to explain how you arrived at the conclusion on Arsenal finishing above United this season.
You will wait forever. he cannot explain.

And there were those who could bet with their ballz that Arsenal was gonna win something this season when they were still in all 4 competitions only for their dreams to fizzle out in 2weeks.

People still find some ballz to defend this team. I dont understand, especially when the gaffer is hell bent on sticking to his draconian plolicies.

The silence is soo loud in here!!!!

Anyways guys, we have a crunch game against Chelsea do you think will be our line up considering we have almost the full compliments of our players.

Its a tough choice considering the opposition. We beat them home and away in the champs league, but this is ANOTHER game that can go either way. Both teams would really like to win this one.

4-5-1 Formation starting, then we adjust to 4-4-2 as we read the game.

VDS
Raphael
Vidic
Rio
Evra
carrick
Valencia
Anderson
Giggs
Rooney
Berbatov

What say you guys?

Evans and o'shea in our back 4. This is gonna be interesting, dangerous, risky and exciting to watch. It gives the opposition confidence to come at us, considering what they did to inter at d san siro.

i'd prefer beating those arses and even lose to chelsea which i doubt will happen. I just dont like chelsea behind us. A draw with both teams wud not be bad either.

Mr_TA:
Apologies, admittedly that was quite annoying to read, my point stands though.
If you put Barca beside any team right now, Barca would be the favourite to win.

Your point standing, is quite defeatist and thats not really what you shud be thinking now.

United have a chance to win the champs league once we confirm our place in the final.

We have beaten them before, (Scorcher from scholes) we can do it again.
