We also know that to win a trophy, just leave Arsenal  tongue tongue Cesc is sure of a trophy now.

I respect people who remain unbiased in their analysis of issues, I always knew you to be and yu've confirmed it again. It is good to be able to look at issues from both sides of the coin.
The Barcelona hierarchy could have handled this a lot better and I will insist that the immediate past leadership was to blame for this debacle, they should have reined the players in from the onset. Naijababe and Mukina2 are only being emotional, if they were in Cesc's shoes they would have gone yapping to the press saying they wanted a move. tongue
Cesc wanted to go to Barcelona but did his best to get Arsenal the best deal they could so he kept quiet, he also had to consider the Barca fans he was going to meet so had to remain quiet to both sides. There wouldn't have been a lot of ill feeling if one side didn't keep shouting in the media. The nearest deal to this in terms of circumstances was Chamakh's move only difference was that he had no affiliations to Arsenal, Arsenal werent continually in the press about it and he did win Bordeaux a trophy before leaving and got the grand exit his performances deserved from the Bordeaux fans despite leaving on a free from a club he had been at since 14.

Cesc had the opportunity to become an Arsenal legend but passed on it but in the future people would still remember him for what he did on the pitch for arsenal. He was the only one I felt could surpass Henry in terms of appreciation from the fans if he had stayed and won something as captain, everything else was going for him and he still had age on his side but he knows himself better anyway. Now we have to look to Jack and hope the club gets through this building phase before he gets fed up as well.
Good point, slating Cesc now because he has left is a little too emotional.

I think Cesc tried his best to respect both clubs. And both clubs knew what he wanted.

I feel Cesc is already a legend in the Arsenal for his contributions. its just unfortunate that he didn't win a lot of trophies.

Last time i checked soccer is a team sports.

My friend sharrap - I was responding to a specific post by Sharon saying the fee was too little. I didn't say I wanted him sold, I've simply said that there is room to sign other big wage/big transfer fee players if we choose to do so.

Again I say, sharrap - you voyeurs should go mind your business.
when will you choose to buy big in the market, Debo stop deceiving yourself jor.
How many big signings have wenger done in the last 6 trophyless years?

You guys are the voyeurs. i remember 2 seasons ago how arse fans on this forum said Cesc shud atleast stay one more season and then sold. the guy stayed and was trophyless again. Seeing Barca lift the CL and La liga must have made Cesc stomach rumble. Barca reiterated that they want him and then some of your cohorts started quoting that Cesc in on contract and shud respect it.

He has been sold now and i believe he is still on the same 'contract' you guys were talking about for a ridiculous fee.

Arsenal will soon become a mid table finisher. grin grin

He waited as long as he could wait - the money wasn't coming and a deal needed to be done for Arsenal to move on.

We get a big wage player off the books, no loyalty bonus to pay and a big transfer fee. A bigger fee would be good, but historically that isn't the key for Arsenal - reinvesting whatever comes in is the key.If you want to kill Wenger - you have the address of his Hertfordshire mansion - go kill him there. grin
Balancing the books and making profit is the priority for Arsenal, thats why you would be happy getting Cesc wage off the books so that Wenger can bring in another mediocre player with a low wage to bill.

This has absolutely nothing to do with keeping your best players so that a trophy, any trophy can be won.

Reinvesting is the key you say!! On what exactly will he reinvest the money. grin my guess is, in another unknown embryo.

Who exactly do u support cesc or arsenal football club?

For u to be fellating on the fact that Cesc made a pass that led to the goal that won the WC for spain is disgraceful.

yes trophies were the main topic, but trophies won at club level is what was being refered to until u brought in the "cesc killer pass in the WC achievement"

So if Cesc eventually leaves to Barca and he starts winning trophies you will still be jumping about the whole place screaming that Cesc picked the ball from the ball boy and eventually his

throw in led to the goal that gave barca another cup. Abeg. shocked

Cesc is just lucky he is a spaniard
PoliticsRe: Home | News | Jonathan Backs Push For New Revenue Formula..... by codedguy1(m): 11:37am On Jul 24, 2011
Until we start practicing true federalism in this country we will continue to try to fix something wrong with another wrong formular.

With true federalism, where states contribute to the federal govt on a particular formular based on what they produce, it would make more sense with accountability.

All this minimum wage wahala would not be there because every state will determine what they would pay. The states are supposed to contribute to the center and not the other way around.

changing the formular is just being clever by half. Although i know to agitate for that kinda thing now will cause another wahala, it has to be started sometime.

Like someone rightly observed, if the fed govt allocation is reduced, how will they pay all their parastals, these are supposed to be taken care of by the staes e.g state police. Although we also know that a lot of money is being stolen that would have been used for improving our lot.

Did the players who left Arsenal all leave at the same time?

Juve lost 6 starters at once. Let Arsenal lose Sagna, Clichy, Cesc, Nasri, Van Persie, Song while they are relegated and lets see how many season it would take them to come back. Mind you Juve still qualified for the CL but most of the ground they lost to Inter and AC.

Everyone knows Juves fall has to do with calcicopoli which took them back. If Luciano Moggi was still in charge of Juve would Inter have smelt a single title?

Wenger Sold them willingly unlike in Juves case where they were relegated Henry, Flamini, Hleb, Gilberto, Vieira, Toure, Adebayor, Pires. He brought in Nasri, Arshavin, Chamakh, Denilson, Rosicky,, Squilacci, Kolscieny etc

i don't blame the lad completely.Fergie has a hand in his destruction, the same way Jose has a hand in Mikel's deconstruction.
What exactly is Anderson?A defensive midfielder? an attacking creative midfielder?
don't just say box to box.that is another word for jake of all trade, master f none.
Scholes has been a very wonderful player for United and i doubt if there would be any player that would be able to replace him.

i think it is unfair to talk about Ando like this, apart from his injuries, i believe Ando can step up. soccer is a team sport and as long as as he does what he is expected to do, not exactly being like scholes, then i think we are good to go.

i enjoy Ando on his good day , and i think we can can work towards making him have those good runs/days more often in the United shirt. The energy he brings to the team, if well utilised will ginger other players, especially those primarily saddled with responsibilities for scoring to go all out know there is an energic player ready to distrupt counter attacks. It will depend on how the team is being set up by Fergie.

Sneijder is a very talented player, but the amount which is being peddled around for his services does not make sense IMO.

Although i agree the creativity in the team needs to be really improved.

Selling Cesc doesn't necessarily make us a selling club - Utd sold Ronaldo for £80m and are not a selling club are they?

You need to know when to sell and more importantly, ensure that your squad remains strong enough to compete even after a sale. Utd have sold Ruud, Becks and Ronaldo to Madrid over the past couple of years, but still win trophies - that is the difference.

Anyways, to liven things up, I bring you comments from a player who wants to join Arsenal. cheesy

I love to play in the arsenal, would be a dream for me! I wish to God that is realized!

After two seasons of trophylessness he will start demanding for 200k pounds per week.

Real and City will dangle some nice package and Wenger will have his usual choice, which is to sell the player.

StarBoard:
Oga,
We don't accept mediocrity like the ambitionless people in North London.Spurs have more ambition than Arsenal in my book.At least they were the last North london club to win a trophy.Maybe it's telematch you see your version of Ashley Young.
The Ashley Young I know is slightly better than Theo Walcott.Wasteful in possession generally. . .
Come on guys!!!! i dont think Ashley young is a bad buy, in any case the quality at United will definitely lift his game. he also knows that he needs to put in a decent showing everytime and that if he messes up na bench be that.

In a team like United where we have match winners in almost all the departments i think ashleys contributions will be telling.

We know some great players have come here and flopped, but he has Prem experience and i strongly believe he will be good for us, at least allowing Evra concentrate on his defensive duties. I hope they can play the way Barca plays on the rightt, sometimes one thinks Dani Alves is an attacking midfielder cos you always see him bombing forward, which means Messi would have drifted into the middle and then it looks as if Barca have more players on the field than their opponent.

Lets wait and see, am sure Fergie will sign Midfielders.

Just a simple question. is the guy you cheated with known to both of you or just a guyyo met somewhere?

Cos you said your husband cheated with someone you both know and i believe known when a partner cheats with someone known to both the couples then there is always a chance it would be discovered is very high.

But then the issue here i believe is If you tell him, it may end the marriage and you seem not to want that especially after describing the fact that he has problems with you haven slept with others guys even b4 you met him. On the other hand if you dont tell him then it might eat you up quicker than you know it.

This is a tough one but I HOPE YOU HAVE STOPPED SEEING THE OTHER GUY cos thats the first thing you need to do.

What even makes the most of the replies annoying from most of these biased babes on NL is that they feel once they have an opinion on a story, 'it must be correct'

Are they saying that it is impossible for this woman to be the jezebel that she is?

There are terrible people in this world MALE AND FEMALE!

We have heard of an Oba that beat up his wife and poured acid on her, a Male, now we are hearing of what a jezebel of a wife is doing with a first hand account from her son, yet some still doubt. because the man said he married and then divorced another lady.

Let us assume he did not put that part in the story, they will pick another line to discredit his story.

These Barca guys are Bassstards grin grin

Lets look at it this way, What would Barca be thinking of playing against us.

I dont think they are also comfy with United and it would be at their peril if they think they will walk over a UNITED team.

My point is, they would be also weary of the UNITED team and would also be careful somehow. I think the Barca team get their confidence and inspiration from dominating and thats where they defeat all their opponents.

Barca is favourite and both teams know that.

Like Ruddie said, we should also find a way of hurting them if we want to win.

A Giggs in the middle is risky IMHO, even though he bring some sorta creativity to our attack play. But i think starting with hernandez, Valencia and rooney in attack will suit us more and then switch to whatever formation depending on how the game is going.

We need to be thinking of playing to our strengths because WE HAVE TO SCORE TO WIN THE GAME.

RuuDie:
I'm absolutely certain that Giggs will start in that CM area. . . I can understand the fears of having Giggsy in there but the baba still has fuel in his tank plus passion, determination, intelligence and experience which we'll need more than all the gusto of Fletcher / Ando can muster.
We need someone to release that ball quickly, incisively and intelligently onto the run of Chicharito when we break up their play. Scholesy and Gigsy are the only 2 candidates quite capable of that.
I reckon the strongest starting team we can put out there is:

VDS

Fabio (!Oshea) Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Valencia Carrick Giggs Park

Rooney

Hernandez

Just like in the Chelsea game, Giggs and Park can swap places every now and then. . . .Rooney roams and will drop deep into midfield to help.

FCB make it easy for us some the way their full-backs space out when they pass from the back, if we can nick the ball at the half-way point, one through might be all it takes to get Hernandez in behind em.
I also like your selection, but am one of those who aint comfy with Giggs.

In a big game like this we ought to have a plan B and i think Giggs fits into that category of being part of a plan B. But offcourse it also depends on how well or bad the game is going.

I believe Anderson shud start where u put Giggs.
