So AW style of punishing a player is to invent an injury to bench the player huh huh

Now am confused grin grin

was manucho bought to go straight into united's starting xi that already had tevez, rooney, ronaldo, welbeck?

was per bought to go straight into arsenal's staring xi with paraplegics like djourou, koscielny, squillaci and other tools?

Seriously, isn't there any way to check †нє excesses of certain mega-paid players? With the kinda amount AA23 earns, its annoying to see him perform so abysmally almost every game.

I also ponder why/how he degenerated into hogwash so quickly considering how good he was in his first year

debarring any long term injuries to our big players, only barcelona can beat this man utd squad.
chelsea, arsenal, liverpool, etc are snacks for cleverley and co. . . . . .
At the risk of sounding boastful, i dont see injuries stopping us.

Any team that would want to wrestle the title from UNITED must be consistent and clinical this term.

If we meet Barca again, i would suggest playing the likes of welbeck, cleverly, young, nani, ando, park and rooney. lets see what will happen.

Guys that can harry around and have energy. Valencia, chicharito and fletcher will also be available.

Barca will still have the edge, but i will be more confident.

at least 4 now sneijder stories nd speculations can be laid to rest . . .i was gettin sick . . . . . now wat we've gat is wat we gonna use . . . . cleverly ando giggs fletcher carrick all of dese guys dont hav a choice dey must deliver . . . MAN UTD 4 lyfe
By the time you add Young, Nani, Valencia, Park, Rooney, Chicarito, Welbeck, and Berbatov in attack

Na who born the maga defence. grin grin

But in anycase, it now boils down to 11 against 11 (quality and experience comes to the fore)

With Fergie am more cofident with this team than even last seasons' squad.

Imagine winning the league with only about 5 away wins and 4 draws. its really strange.

hercules07:
More money getting to the states is a good thing, they employ far more people than the FG, at present, the FG gets over 50% of the budget while all states combined get just over 20%, what are they doing at the FG level that they have such a humongous allocation, let them give more to the states and use part of their allocation for sovereign wealth fund, all roads within a state should be state road, let the FG concern itself with interstate infrastructure such as road and rail.
If we actually start practising true federalism where states generate their funds as per being in control of the resources in their states and remitting a certain amount or percentage to the fed Govt then we can start to address salient issues.

The main issue is to be able to have a transparent and accountable structure in place backed by the constitution.

Sincere leaders are very hard to find in this country, or rather the corrupt ones who are ready to do anything to get to power will not allow a sincere and efficient individual to get there.

its a sad situation. we know the right thing to do but because the present arrangement suits these thieving lot, they will not change it.

ekt_bear:
It is a bit sad here that many don't understand the principle of federalism.
The truth is that both the federal and states govt are all looking for more money to be available for stealing.

In a country where there has never been a standard and effective accountability process.

What has the states done with the monies that have been allocated to them, and why is the FG dictating like an autocratis govt.

THE SINCERERITY OF PURPOSE IS MOST IMPORTANT HERE!!!
Who do we trust in Nigeria, The Fed, State, or LGhuh undecided

StarBoard:
@coded,
I've swallowed my words on Ashley.Even as I type,I'm flushing them with some organic waste down the toilet!
Abet the boy is good.I followed Villa specifically because of him last season when I found a source quoting him saying he had a desire to join United.I wasn't particularly impressed with what I saw last season although to be fair to him Villa were undone by Martin O'Neil's departure at the begining of the season.
Hence my criticism of him.I guess it was misplaced. . .
Thanks.

Ashley Young is UNITED quality anyday, seeing him in full flight playing for Villa was just enuff convincing that he would fit into UNITED as long as baba carves out a role for him, even if he plays behind the striker.

But remember, he might go thru some bad games, that should not attract too much criticisms as players go thru that from time to time.

we played an Arsenal side thats supposed to be a top team although AW lined practically UNKNOWN inexperience players on the day, but i dare say, that AW actually felt those bunch could win the game based on his instructions and how he set them out to play. Forget about the injuries and suspension. we also had players out.

The United team is robust as it is now, imagine when we have young and valencia on both flanks, thats why we need a Sneijder type midfielder who would be able to distribute exceptionally, then i wished we had a makalele type defensive midfielder also.

We have to close the gap with Barca, buthave to make do with what we have for now.

i have more confidence in this team winning the EPl than i had last season. The UCL is the KOKO this season .

Young will do reat things for UNITED. The guy has been starved at Villa, he wants to win trophies and feels he is in the right place to do that now. he is hungry.

Mr_TA:
I still maintain Charlie Adam is not UTD quality.
The problem with statements like this is that when these players are sorrounded by top quality from top clubs they usually excel, although we have also seen exceptional players who we felt "there no way in hell he would flop" move to another team and then they are benched, although this usually happens when the transfer is from abroad.

i really dont understand what is wrong with us in this country, the selfishness, greed and corruption has blinded us from using common sense to archieve ordinary fits.

how much does it really cost to build a refinary with say a capacity of 60,000bpd. am sure if you calculated what we have spent in the last 10 years on TAM and subsidy, we would have been able to atleast put a refinary in the 6 geo locations in this country.

people need to die before somethings would be set right in this country.

i could have sworn licenses were given for the building of private refinaries about 8-10 years ago. Wetin don happen, where are those refinaries, or better still what level are they.

It now takes 10 years to build a refinary abi.

We keep on doing ourselves in just because of selfish reasons, am sure someone would have frustrated the process because he was not settled or one very annoying reason like that.

We dont see the common good of all, just selfish and greedy interest that has not gotten us anywhere.

Now we want to import fuel from Benin and Niger Republic huh shocked sad angry embarassed cry
