RAPP database backup and restore should be such that users should click on "backup" button somewhere in "Settings or Admin Area" and RAPP would backup automatically based on the drive letter chosen by users from a drop down of some sort. Also, Restore should also be the same, such that users click on "Restore" somewhere in "Settings or Admin Area" and RAPP would check if "RappDataBase" directory exists, if exists then ask if users want to overwrite existing files or not...bla bla bla Allow RAPP to also be cloud friendly, so that users can backup online to a selected server and restore from there back Locally. It means you have to include an FTP app to RAPP. I could develop that for you anyway with a little "offering". You will then have to include the ftp.exe (I will develop) in your setup before compiling. A click from RAPP from the "Settings or Admin Area" will launch the ftp.exe from the directory. |

GideonG: For Nairaland, I think Seun used PHP at the beginning and ended up changing to Python....Nairaland is not built from scratch it is built using a forum software and over time tweaked to what you see presently. |
